  • I spend a lot of time on my phone in the mornings, and lately, I’ve been looking for ways to reduce that. I came across a video that inspired me to automate my morning routine to eliminate the one thing I couldn’t do without my phone in the mornings, playing music.
    In this video, I go over the process of automating my morning routine, eliminating the need for me to use my phone to play music, and building what is called a modern-day record player.

    Really cool video. I was looking to make talaexe's one but I love how yours will always play to the echo dot which is something I wanted. Thanks to you now I will mix parts from both to make my own. Thank you!

    Nice bro. To make it more record-like. May I suggest including a card reader of diets where you put in the rfid card like an atm and the music is playing till the card is in the ATM style card reader and pauses when it's out. Also you could make next and prev buttons on it. Make it smaller or larger. And have a small display showing the song name album etc. that last party was too much, but that buttons and atm style card reader is really good IMO

    Heya this is a great video and a really cool project. Can I ask how you set up the default device? I am thinking of setting a homepod as the default device if that makes any difference. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

    Hey, I'm trying recreate this project but I ran into some problems. When running your code I get an error "no module named Secrets". I'm importing refresh_token and base_64 from Secrets, where could I get those two? It's a great project btw, keep up the good work!

    Doesn't you echo dot lose connection to spotify?
    My google home mini seems to lose connection to spotify after some time of not playing. So this means that /devices and /play splotify endpoint stop working.

    nice work. now that you have experience with wiring 12v, try plying with 110v. ( just kidding, don’t)

    Do we need the breadboard or can we hook up the RFID reader directly to the Pi?

    • @Umacodes
      @Umacodes  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can hook it up directly but you will specific wires to do so.

    Hi, a quick question. How have you hooked up your Raspberry Pi to view it on your ultra-wide monitor? Is it Picture-in-picture? Or some other trick?

    • @Umacodes
      @Umacodes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used VNC Viewer app and remotely connected to the PI

    Great Job, i dont know if your looking at comment 1 years after, but here is on thing to add every song you want without any else/if in your code.
    Simply write the complete URI on the tag.
    So you dont have to manage your id_to_playlist_mapping.json file
    Et voilà :)
