Please make it so kerbals can fall over and also please make it so you can take jet packs while on Eva. I think it’s funny when the kerbal go Ragdoll on low grav planets and I think it’s a big part of the game

it amases me that no one from the guys that got into the ksp2 preview use RCS on their crafts and rely solely on the reaction wheels. Been playing with a mod that heavily nerfs them and also adds fuel instability and I cant build anything without RCs :P
a better name for what we have in ksp 1 is anti gravity wheels because they seem to defy all known laws of gravity lmao you can literally go flying around minmus in rovers just by reaction wheels they should be nerfed it makes rcs fuel management too easy. u don't gotta worry about rcs if u don't want to just slap on a bunch of reaction wheels its easier to dock with reaction wheels then it is with rcs

Agreed. The graphics shown in the video when landing and walking around on Duna are just awful for a current game. And that bit where the Kraken showed up... I sure hope there's a logical explanation for it not being the Kraken, otherwise, why bother with KSP2? If large ships result in low frame rates and the Kraken is still on the hunt at this point, KSP2 doesn't have a bright future.
@@rolandcombes I wouldn’t go that far. There should be no reason to doubt that this game will end up being fantastic. Look at the way KSP came out and compare it to the current version of the game, it’s like night and day. Sure there probably won’t be the same level of improvement here, but things will be fixed.
I do want more optimization of KSP2 for lower end devices, I’d like to build/do semi-insane stuff without too much lag, Also my favorite part of the game so far is the wing customization (even though it’s slightly limited), I like my wings with curves)
The devs have said that they are going to be prioritizing optimization and bug fixes for the early stages of early access. We will likely get a more stable build than the ony given to those at the test event but more patches will come along as things progress. I have alot of faith in the developers and their constant communication is a testimate of that.
The thing I’m most concerned about for KSP2 is how good of a computer to run it. One thing I loved about the original is that it could run on a potato so I could recommend it to any of my friends even if I knew they had a bad PC. But now that the minimum recommendations are so high, I feel like it might reduce the accessibility to the game
Maybe, as a fellow gaming laptop enthusiast myself though I think that the minimum specs will get better over time and aren't as scary as they look on paper
It really depends on what is considered "Minimum"; 60 FPS Medium graphics? 30 FPS Lowest? 24 FPS Lowest? Until people stop using meaningless terms for defining things we will never know till someone tries it
@@poggestfrog I remember playing games on minimum years ago and the frames couldn't hold on a stable 30. Could've been because I had a crap laptop but it's annoyingly vague what developers think playable is without being specific
I remember in the first game they eventually added something like a vanilla kerbal alarm clock for transfer windows, was there anything like that in this version, and if not do we know if its coming? I feel like it would be good for their plan to give new players a slightly easier time.
If it isn't there I feel like it's one of the things that'd be introduced very soon. Updates in this early access should be relatively frequent from what I've heard, so I imagine it'd be one of the first things they add along with bug fixes considering how handy it is.

I highly doubt that the first big public showcase of their game would be on some old and unoptimised build of the game.. The performance we see here is exactly what it'll be at early release. Bad.
Absolutely all the people claiming it will be better at EA launch is hopeful dreamers. There are serious problems with the game engine and that wont be fixed in a few weeks.

@@sasshole8121 They dont use the same Game Engine so how can it be just a "reskined" KSP 1. And it will be an Early Access Title = missing Stuff, various problems and bugs. If you dont like the early access concept just wait and see how they handle it. They are good and bad examples for Early Access games. Maybe it will be one of the better ones with constant Updates. Time will tell

I was really excited for this game, but everything about this release is underwhelming. Then the developers hide behind the "its early access so it's supposed to be bad" excuse with all of the features to get excited about delayed indefinitely. Had a competent game studio been in charge of this, it would have been released years ago in a state that would live up to the title's reputation.
Great video man, keep up the amazing work! TIP: Your gravity turn wasn't too soon actually, in general you want to be pitching over 10 degrees by 1km (1,000m) and gradually reach 45 degrees pitch by 10km (10,000m). This way you're raising your periapsis at the same time you're raising your apoapsis. You should also throttle down to 50% until you pass through Max-Q (about 30-35km, 30,000m) so you're not being pushed back too much by the atmosphere. Once you pass 35km you're in pretty thin atmosphere, and once you're above 50km you shouldn't need to full throttle anymore, as the PE should be rising rapidly. If you do it just right, by the time you reach you're Apogy, you should be pretty much circularized not needing any further burns.
I stranded 8 there last night in ksp1. I tried 100 times to land it but it was too top heavy for the 4 landing struts and just kept bouncing and bouncing till it tipped over. Buuuut......it didn't blow up! Time for a fly by to get that science!
Makes me want a planet builder in KSP2, planet shaped like a Tuna (which probably could exist realistically with some luck) Replacing every planet with fish equivalents and visiting them Mods exist, but my computer cannot handle those well

The part bending is a choice, not a symptom of the physics engine, much like the reaction wheels being a bit nerfed. There are some bugs to work out, but no, improving the performance of the physics engine should not be the number 1 priority. They should finish any features that rely on the physics engine, and _then_ they should work on optimizing the physics engine. Optimizing too soon is an expensive mistake that you pay for twice; once when you do it, and once when you re-do it because you can't make a feature work with the tradeoffs you made the first time.

Part of the complaints people are having performance-wise is that the listed MINIMUM specs include a 2060, which is only 2 generations old so a lot of people on older/budget rigs will simply be unable to play even if they're willing to turn graphics down to potato. Basically every other big game that has come out this year only requires a 10xx or even 9xx series card which are WAY more accessible to the average gamer.
The minimum spec now includes a 1070 Ti, which is, what, four generations? I think they're just setting them high because they just don't know how demanding the final version will be and don't want to give anybody the wrong impression about how done it is yet.
I think the main issue with your orbit was that your periapsis was under 72500 m generally I feel 73000 is the orbit height you wanna aim for since you can take advantage of the oberth effect but also can time warp, and afford to burn a little radial in for an encounter.

Reaction wheels were significantly nerfed as I know. In KSP 1 they were unrealisticly powerful

There is a NERV engine, and a Super NERV they are just under the Hydrogen category as KSP2 sorts engines based on fuel type
