FSR on Ultra performance will render the game at 360p so of course it'll look worse than 60% of 1080p which is 648p. Also if you want more GPU performance set Nvidia Reflex to "On", not "On+Boost".
FSR is not DLSS. Anyway, this game is pretty GPU light, but murder on the CPU, with a decent graphics card reducing the graphics doesn't really help at all.
I have a RTX 2060 S and a Ryzen 7 2700x I get about 100FPS on Medium settings but if there are many explosive etc. it drops to 50-60 FPS thats hard to aim
help me out pls, so i have a i5 12400f and a 6600xt, and i find switching between epic to low settings giving barely a 10 percent fps difference, obviously this is because it is a cpu bound game, so shd i use amd's option or the taau and put it a custom option, i would like consistent 144 in all places, even the most fps demanding when there is a lot of destruction on your screen, so what shd i keep my settings on
just put everything on epic you will only need to lower global illumination resolution, effects and shadows if you are losing fps from GPU (I'm using R3 4300GE with RX 6600)
for me I got view distance on epic, textures epic, and global illumination epic. With those settings off I don't get anymore fps, it's pointless. Along with any DLSS or scaling option besides TAAU, they'll lower visual quality, and does not improve my fps. But why?
Dlss only looks good if you using 1440p or above as its scale from lower resolution in case of 1920 x 1080 it scales from 720p obviously it will look worse
Try missing with the fsr an the stuff shown in vid. With 1050ti im able to get 70-80 with fsr balanced and 120-140 with settings in vid. Either thah or ur cpu is weak
Exactly, bro just let me know if you find any solution. I have a 3060 and an intel 7 12700 with 16 gigs of ram and I can't go above 90 fps on the lowest resolution and lowest settings. It was not like this in Beta version.
i have 3O6O with i5 and iam chilling with 144 consistent fps idk how. i did lot of tweaks so i would try it too if iam having same troubles as you. [sorry for my english]@@bayeralisthesecond2882
@@royaltyhvh lol i most certainly know exactly what i am talking about. 1080p resolution being downscaled to 60% is STILL 1080p… it’s just being downscaled by 60% hence the TAAU slider being set at 60. running the game natively at 1080p or even higher isn’t the best idea no since the game isn’t optimized, hence the downscaling to help with performance.
unfortunately thats not how it works, and the finals definitely isn't just a "CPU game" infact in testing they found it leans more towards being GPU intensive. You're right that It does use more CPU power than most games due to all the destruction but that doesn't mean your GPU and its configuration doesn't matter. lowering the TAAU setting to 60% doesn't "just" give you less pixels. it most certainly gives a massive boost in performance without a huge hit on visual quality contrary to what you are claiming, go see it in game for yourself :)@@Oneproplayer
the fact that i have an older system is the reason why i, and others need to boost fps. giving tips is meant to help others not able to reach frames like i can despite my system being older!
