I don’t think i can comment a pic but no hate on the cardboard shroud. I done same thing for some surface mounts in my side window. I just put electrical tape around it so you cant tell it’s cardboard. Wosh I could comment a pic bc it actually looks pretty good.
Chris Murphy surprisingly really well, with temperatures reaching in the 150°s inside the vehicle I expected to have issues. But It’s holding up really well tho, no issues since I put it on. I took a piece off the other day because I wanted to get visor tint put on and it was a little hard to get off. So that tells me that it’s holding up really good.
trey camardelle I had a cheap set that I used duct tape on. First hot day it shriveled up and left sticky all over my windshield. I just got a STL raptor x in going to put in. Wanted to see how well your tape was doing with the heat. I’m gonna have to try your idea. Thank you for responding
Just used this method on my visor, hoping it holds overtime thank you!
I think you’ll have good luck if you used the same stuff I did, because from the time I put it on till now it’s still stuck on there really strong.
I watched this video about 3 years ago, and its been holding my visor lights up since.
@@Sinful_Breeze thanks for the feedback! That’s awesome to hear!

Thank you very much. This was so helpful.
Glad I could help!
How many coats of the rubber stuff did you do?
Two coats, just enough to get rid of the stickiness.
What visor light is that and how was the install ?
Mike Preddy it’s the whelen inner edge. The install wasn’t hard if you have the right brackets.
How is it holding up to heat and sunlight.

Chris Murphy yes I definitely recommend using what I used. You won’t be disappointed if you follow the way I did it in the video.
