    Something to remember (this coming from one who spent a lot of time in very dry areas of South Africa) is that desert sand is VERY abrasive. Any rubber on wheels soon end up distinctly dark, and the metal on tracks get burnished by the sand. The only muting factors is dust. And, yes, the desert sun bleaches colour very quickly.

    I like to watch you bring your models to life. The way you paint makes love like the real thing. I learn a lot about what colors work with others. Again I will say your are one of the best instructors I've seen. Thank you for teaching your technique. Stay safe and happy

    Alot of people don't like the mk3 kit but apart from the barrel it was one the best kits I'd built for along time still is! It's definitely one of my favourites the real thing so maybe why the kit was good but fell together like a tamiya kitnonce replaced barrel with an afv club one I had already spare but the mk2 I'm still waiting coming in to Scotland it's not yet landed in hobby shops here yet! Got Gecko's new Daimler and mengs chieftain mk10 and RFM stug full interior today they were all here but borders kit's take age's as really only 2 suppliers in UK who distribute Bordor model's kits!

    Such a good value kit. Finished one about a month ago. Did it with the skate grey disruption pattern to add some interest as you're bang in right that just pure desert colour tanks can look a bit boring. Considering putting guitar string aerials on mine as the ones sculpted on are a bit fat looking. Will probably ignore it and start another kit instead lolz

    Do you thin the washes? I find them particolarly aggressive, especially with vinil Tracks and plastic smaller parts

    Mr Champion have you ever tried Gundam kits? I think it looks quite interesting but I have never tried it. I like that you can use so many different bright colours you would never youse if you only stick to millitary modeling.

    Oh perfect timing! Just finishing building an M3 Stuart that will get marked up as a Beutepanzer. Now if I can get brave enough to try my airbrush for the first time(just got back into the hobby)

    which thinner you use for your oil wash used in video where you do the panzer ? an acrylic thinner ?

    • @ChampionScaleModelling
      @ChampionScaleModelling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No normal oil thinners or Ammo Odorless thinners

      @@ChampionScaleModelling thanks, how about white spirit, can it be used as a thinner ?

    • @statoilbensin2190
      @statoilbensin2190 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dandanita1692 Enamel thinners like the Humbrol one is a type of white spirit or mineral spirit but I dont recomend yousing it because its not plastic friendly. Ammo by mig odorless thinner or Ak white spirit is weaker than normal hardware store white spirit/mineral spirits or Humbrol enamel thinner and wont take youre plastic.

    I enjoy whatching this video but I find myself thinking that you use awfully much finished products. I mean a lot of AMMO products like washes, mud etc. I understand it is pretty much easy to use but VERY expensive. I would enjoy techniques with alternative methods like sawdust, gypsum and PVE glue etc. I am gonna do a TAMIYA kit of Pz.Kpfw II Ausf F like you do a year ago but find myself strugling how to do desert weathering without expensive products. Anyway, keep up mister :)
