    Hi Max, Sattu is originally from Bihar. But during Bangladesh partition lots of people came to India. Rich upper class people were given land, but poor people had to struggle a lot. Then they start eating “Chaatu” to save their lives. As a Bengali I thank to Bihar for this life saving food. It's heathy and it makes you strong.

    • @bhuchin
      @bhuchin ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Also before the partition of Bengal, bihar, Jharkhand and odisha were parts of bengal along with bangladesh. After partition east bengal was the Bangladesh part while West Bengal consisted of the current west bengal, bihar and odisha. Hence food from bihar (with jharkhand) and odisha are widely available currently in west bengal still.

Firstly his commitment to learn Hindi shows how much effort he puts in his work and secondly the fact that he never tries to show his speaking skills in Max's channel unless its a real necessity shows that he hold high regards for moral values. He seems like a really good and fun person to be friends with!💜

    Hi Max..... I recommend you please do visit Northeast India (Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim etc.).... It's a totally different from rest of lndia with hilly mountains, greenery nature, different ethnicity and traditional food.... You must visit and explore it 🙏🏻

    • @Esprite9
      @Esprite9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I second this, also North Bengal too has great places to visit. I have been to Sikkim, Zuluk and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Our jeep got stuck twice due to two different reasons and both days the people there were so helpful. One time was in Nathang valley area and one time was near Bagdogra airport. ✨
      I am yet to explore other north eastern places of India though I have been meaning to do it.
      And in Zuluk Nathang valley, Tsongmo lake areas, try the Wai wai noodles, and momos and tea, simple food, but so refreshing and healthy.

    • @Esprite9
      @Esprite9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @takumiusui6667 yes I went to Zuluk with family, though they didn't have electricity all hours, the home stay visit was simply amazing. 🤗
      We played card games, sang songs, played antakshari, and had an awesome time there. I think some of the male family did play football too with the kids! And my cousins/siblings went bird watching too in the early morning time. We went to the Buddhist temple and overall the few days went away simply enjoying the relaxing serenity there.
      I hope such places stay clean and serene and simple like that! All food we ate were simple home meals, and so refreshing, because of the cool mountain air and greenery.
      It was also one of the less populated parts of India, which is the second reason to visit and explore simple natural beauty and serenity and simplicity of northeastern India. we went during the monsoon season , so experienced the rains too!

    Usually a biryani is accompanied by a liquid saucy curry called Mirchi ka Saalan in Hyderabad (and names like Shorba etc. in other states) - if you need a bit of wetness to the basmati rice. Happy Exploring!!

    Yes you are correct. Claypots do add added flavour to the tea. And good that you did not take the sattu liquid. If you are not used to it, better to avoid water from street food shops

    You'd be surprised to know how much some of these road side tea shops and small one-two snack shops make in a month.
    Every neighborhood would have atleast one stall making around 4000 INR per day. In almost every city in India. These small businesses are big business in India. Some are not even open for the entire day.

    Sattu or chatu is basically roasted Bengal gram flour,it's a power house of nutrition, you can make a healthy drink by simply mixing it with water ,pinch of black salt,lemon juice or You can have it in this way,if you wish to eat it back home,buy packet of Sattu,a small amount of Indian mango pickle (or any Indian pickle) which is prepared in mustard oil,rest you already know, knead the flour using chopped onion,green chili, salt,water and a dash of pickle ,mix well and it's ready,eat and enjoy.🙏🏼
