Damien Schmitt, is an incredible drummer with all the faculties that makes for a great performance. Love his phrasing...totally an incredible musician all way round - bar none. Great band. Yes, long live Fusion!!!

I like this concert a lot, I've heard it several times...
Excellent music and performance. Fiery Damien Schmitt is from other world, and seems to be the perfect counterpart to Caron, forming a unique entity with him. The guitarist also performs flashing and very inspired solos. This is Fusion at its best.
C'est Noel ! Avec ce groupe ! Damien et Alain deux Musiciens que j'adorent ! Un peu tous les matins et c'est la forme pour la journée ! En tout cas ça me motive pour faire mes gammes de batterie ! Les deux autres compères jouent super aussi ! Amitiés les plus music-hall !
Je suis Alain depuis l'époque d'Uzeb, un trio déjanté qui a fait des choses vraiment intéressantes. Aussi dans ce concert Alain est toujours numéro 1 en tant que bassiste. Super groupe et super musique aussi dans ce contexte. Alain continue comme ça !

Difficult to put into words how much this performance blew my mind! . . . Fantastic compositions - funky and accessible but still complex and individual. . . and what a band! . . Such strong performances, and the most expressive drummer that i have ever seen.. . Bravo Alain . .

fantastic Alain Caron ! and all the band plays amazing but i was really impressed from very excellent good "live-sound" !!!! in particular the drum-sound is incredible !!!! cymbals are stunning ! of course Demien Schmitt plays excellent . I have seen Damien playing with Alain long time ago in Roma ( Big Mama ) and he really wasn't so good as now . Congratulation ! excellent post , thanks ! ciao da Roma , Italia :)

Encore une fois Alain tu sais nous surprendre par la qualité de tes pièces (pour les titres on repassera, hihihi, c'est une une joke), de la performance et prestation remarquable et exceptionnelle de tous les musiciens. Damien est absolument saisissant par son jeu électrisant, sa créativité et son originalité. En terminant, sur scène vous êtes beau à voir. Bel attitude et ça c'est inspirant. Commentaire constructif, la captation ne nous permet pas d'apprécier vos regards complices. Merci !

Ontem apreciei uma performance no EM&T, de uma música do Alain e apesar de já ter ouvido falar o nome e algumas músicas deste instrumentista, resolvi procurar aprofundar mais minha pesquisa por aqui e, eis que surpresa boa, este vídeo, com ótimas músicas, expressão artística, ritmo, percepção e criatividade.
No mais, vou continuar a pesquisar mais sobre, inclusive em seu canal. Parabéns :-)

Bien vu pour 1-4-U (mon morceau caviar préféré : basse + guitare super synchros) les sticks d'accompagnements plutôt que les tom pour la batterie. En + ya le nouveau fender rhodes la dedans. Caron bien mortel !

Tu devrais écouter ce que Magella Cormier avait dans le ventre dans les années 90. Damien a l'aire d'un enfant de coeur a coté de lui. Magella est un monstre je te le jure. IL a beaucoup joué avec Alain a cette époque. Jamais entendu un batteur avec un vocabulaire aussi riche que le sien. De loin supérieur a Dave ou Vinnie a mon avis.
C. Chouinard, tu charries un peu! Magella est un monstre sans doute mais de là à dire que Damien a l’air d’un enfant de chœur y a des limites. Damien est d’une originalité jamais vue.
