Set in the culturally rich and royal fabric of Pink City Jaipur, is the old site that spans across 1,250 sq.ft. The street facing site is a part of a row housing colony. The surroundings of the site are formed of a densely populated vicinity with a busy road in front.

I've always avoided indian home decor videos because of their intense color palate but this was such a wonderful and quite unique architectural design(at least for me). Loved the jhali, the neutral color palate and a modern house with maximum light and creative use of space. Would this work for extremely hot climates with 8 months summers though?

What kind of window frames are used this this building (asking about the sliding windows)? Aluminum or uPVC? How good it it in long run?
Yes, courtyard houses are meant for hot climates..and the lime plaster with ample openings in right directions.However the temperatures now are rising so badly one does need active devices, can't rely totally on passive cooling.Especially in tight urban area.
we would love to see more videos on compact spaces like this.

I love this. I especially love the private courtyard and terrace, I’ve always wanted somewhere I could grow my plants and just relax if I wanted to.
I saw a lot of houses in India the couple of years- all seemed gaudy and overbearing. This is a really elegant and subtle design. Modern but trying to pay homage to the old and rich Rajasthani elements. I live there lime wash walls and the marble flooring. The internal courtyard and upstairs terrace features are darling.
I love the simplicity of this design! No visual clutter, allows all the textures/patterns to stand out without being overwhelming

Love almost everything about this house and design. The only negative I see, is the marble floors in some of the rooms. I don't think they are a mistake, just a personal aversion to marble floors. However, I think the wood and tiled floors, are beautiful, warm and inviting.

By the way, Maam I have few questions.....
1. The space around courtyard gets more heated during summer. ( I am facing this problem in my own house, where OTS is provided, Upper floor gets more heat).
2. Does this parking included in plot area?
3. Does The Buildofy Pdfs contains working plan with dimensions?

3-yes
The house doesn't get super heated up in summer, the reason being the open to sky courtyard. The courtyard facilitates good air circulation which keeps the indoors cool, even during the the hottest months of the year. We have used terracotta flooring and created a terrace garden on the roof, which again ensures that the house doesn't get heated up like crazy during summers. Exterior area has cement grass paver block flooring, to act as a green parking area.

I can relate with this architecture. It's contemporary and practical. This channel should emphasize on small ecological houses that use parametric architecture and sustainability. This teaches a lot.

3500/sqft including civil and interiors. It's a 2100 sqft of built up.
