Great showing Dave. And I agree with you about the Shooting Associations “Preaching to the converted”. Your man manages to show some good shots on the clays, why can’t Television do it.
Ps Mark certainly has a very elegant, smooth shooting action.
Television is the only way to popularise it really! but it will never happen for political reasons, yes Mark is very smooth a truly great shot and nice lad

Superb, just the thing before I go off for clays in the morning. One thing did strike me, youngsters with warm coats and gloves and old buggers with waist coats and sleeves rolled up. Fair play to them.

Good point well made Dave I've been shooting for a year now, I've noticed a steady improvement in my shooting and I'm getting confident enough to enter a competition with the target of not coming last. I wouldn't know where to start on the competitive side though. I also don't have any friends who shoot. I don't know which competitions I can enter and I don't know how they work. I should probably go along to watch a shoot first though and use that time to ask questions. Fitasc looks like something I'd like to be part of in future though.
go to any club and join in any of their 100 bird competitions and i will guarantee you will be made to feel welcome, and they wont be bothered if you miss every target, they will help you as much as they can

I’ve got my interview for my shotgun certificate on Wednesday (I’m 18), I can’t wait to get it. Looking forward to the shooting to come, whether it’s clays, pest control or game. If yah wanna get more young people into shooting go to schools and ask to advertise clay days for the schools plenty of Young lads would love to go clay shooting for an end of year trip

Nice one, some good slow-mo shots. unfortunately, the sport is too expensive but good fun though.
there's help for youngsters with costs, but i agree we need some sort of funding to level the cost out a bit!

Hi Bob, i forgot some people do not know Fitasc, each layout is a set of 25 targets ( 4x layouts ) varying from 20yd away to as much as 80yd away
Thanks Dave. What does Fitasc mean?... 80yds is very long shot for anyone.
It is the french governing body - Fitasc is owned by the french, if you go on line there is plenty of info to keep you enthralled fo at least 30 seconds

23 out of 40 shots .. one shot per bird guys...
