It stick with the theory that High Elves are next. On the Old World cover art we see all the supported armies with their coat of arms - forces of good and evil opposite from another. Khemri facing Bretonnia, Dwarfs facing Greenskin, Wood Elves facing Beastmen, and Warriors of Chaos facing High Elves. Pretty sure those parings are not arbitrary.
Cool idea, remember humans are pattern forming animals! I don't suppose that Empire come last though, that's clearly beastmen due to the proximity with AoS. I reckon empire next, then high elves, then wood elves, finally; beastie boys!
Based on the last few Arcane Journals, I expect that the remaining four new units will likely be conversion ideas for existing units. They seem fond of adding new chariot units, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added a marauder chariot profile for the Wolves of the Sea force or a chosen chariot for the mounted army. Possibly a marauder chieftain/hero profile for the Wolves of the Sea too. They seem to be avoiding the god-specific units atm, so I wouldn't expect any of them to feature. As for the other character, I'd be surprised if they go with another monster such as Kholek. So I suspect it's going to be a new character altogether.
They've said it's a lady character, and she is new, so I'm kinda expecting like a boudicca sort of thing, but lets see... I'm hoping the others are the warshrine, mutalith, that sort of thing.
I'm kinda betting on Gorebeasts as their own units. You know, they're just left over bits right now if you build your chariot with horses, seems like a good opportunity to give them a profile of their own.
@@kyferyeo740 Gorebeasts were also planned as a unit for Khorne's roster in Total War Warhammer III, alas they got axed for unknown reasons. If that means anything, one way or the other.
Of course, I misspoke. In my head I meant like an end times Lightning incarnate sort of Karl Franz - possessed by Sigmar and the wind of Azyr etc. They just seem to shy away from making a model for the good guy - which is what I thought the celestant prime model was going to be?
Wulfrik is a Chaos Warrior, so he's "mortal" only in a loosest sense. Chaos Warriors have no need for food, drink, rest, sleep or warmth; Chaos itself nurtures them - and I'm preeety sure they're unaffected by the ravages of time aswell. Atleast those 200 odd years between now and the End Times should mean little to a chosen champion of chaos. That said, even if Wulrik had allready been around during ToW, he wouldn't have been 'The Wanderer' yet, he only earned that curse in IC 2519. Though it would be fun if we got to see someone like Valkia as a mere human, before their ascension. I do wished so much we would have gotten Throgg though.
Valkia would be super cool however, they've said it's someone new. Bearing in mind they tend to do new characters for the new subfactions I'd imagine it's some kind of Marauder queen, Boudicca style...
You can get units up to magic resistance 4/6 fairly cheaply by stacking collars. I really hope they bring back the warshrine. Then we might see some khornate goodness.
@@MalignMusings or those chaos warriors on Juggernauts or characters on jugs. I also loved having tons of dispel dice back in 6th because we had a dispel dice per mark of Khorne.
I love the old Warriors. They genuinely look intimidating and unstoppable
Agreed
And still no Chaos lord on dragon miniature. Damn.
We've got the warpfyre dragon though so, I'm kinda hopeful we get an actual chaos dragon.
@@MalignMusings i might use that as my dragon

They've done 2 Karl Franz models as far as I am aware. Both mounted on deathclaw.

@@MalignMusings Oh well I think end times Sigmar was literally Karl Franz but AoS is probably saving a proper bearded Sigmar for a special occasion.

I am not happy that there will be no rules for mono god army. I want to be able to dispel with out taking sorcs in my Khorne army.

The second character will be a female, they say that they will reveal more on „her“ later😅
They even speak of „new“ special character
My comment was too early😂
I'm the one that jumps the gun here! :D
