Agreed there's no SW, LWB, RWB, CM, LW or RW in player customisation and there needs to be
they should also have a game mode were you change your personality, And choose what city you play for
Example: My player is from Moscow, Russia or Auckland, NewZealand Or even Athens, Greece
They should also have like tatoo's and stuff, And maybe they should also add football brawls and you can fight with players on the field, like you know Atletico vs Barca, real rivals and they fight allot. Same with NYCFC and NY Red Bulls, doesn't feel like a rival match without the drama.
This is all so true, the lack of actual COOL customisation is unreal, plus I've never understood why you can't be a CM

I had a career mode where i was playing as a rm. Then i took a corner at the left side. Then i was told that i was out of position and got a bad rating.....

here’s another thing: in the journey (not strictly player career mode but go with it) the expectations for when you come on are stupid, you come on in the 80th minute, your team are 3-0 down and the gaffer expects you to when the match, score a goal and get a player rating of 9.0. wtf.
At least you can come on as a sub on the journey
May depend on how long you set your halfs to, but I found that pretty simple. Was able to do it my first try...

Your also not on a contracts so you have to be sold by putting a transfer request through. Also the money you get is pointless because there is nothing to spend it on. You also can’t learn new positions and the manager always plays you in the same formation. You also don’t start from a younger age and it annoys me as you’ve missed about 3 years of your career.

Pretty much every club you play in will keep buying players in the same position as you. (from FIFA 11 until FIFA 18)
I was playing as a ST in AC MILAN for 6 season and by the 6th season, Milan's squad had 11 Strikers and 2 CB
and every transfer window they buy more Strikers to the point where the game is actually unplayable because when I reached the 8th season Milan had no defense, no CDM, CAM,CM.. so they play STs in CBs LOL .. this mode is not getting the work it deserves... and the JOURNEY is shit.. nobody cares about this idiot ALEX HUNTER.. let us create out own journey with our own player and just delete PLAYER career..

Yeah I played as a striker in Fifa 17 and signed for Man U, only realised they had Dybala aubameyang and Ibra until I actually joined, so I didn’t play. Went to juve a year later, who still had a 32 year old higuain with a lower rating than me but played more so I loaned myself out to Wolfsburg and finally got some game time. Oh and I was 87-89 rated for all of this
It happens all the time. I remember joining United after Ibra retired so I could challenge Lukaku. Turns out they had signed Kane, Icardi, Aubameyang and Welbeck. I left in January
What about the fact that you can give yourself 5 training drills every week and go from 67 rated to about 80+ in one season. AND U CANT WEAR A HELMET IF U R AN OUTFIELDER! WHY NOT!?

Centrifugal Yeah I mean I kinda enjoy it because it's not wholly unrealistic because people like kane, alli and tolisso had the same kind of growth in fifa

Just control the whole team, it's much better, I can't even image one match playing only my pro

Only real thing I hate about the new career mode is that you’re so much older this year than last year. Like you have players starting their career’s at 16-17.. this dude is 19 when u start..
Nick Milita and now in fifa you start at 20, they can’t actually be bothered to change the starting age
U should be able to choose how old u are because what if u wanna b like Jamie vardy when he was like 26 when he made his football league debut
At 7:55 I realized I was watching a fifa 18 video and not a fifa 19 video. Great game! 👍 it took 8 minutes of gameplay for me to distinguish the difference in games.

All I want is to choose the club I want to get transferred or loaned to... and to be able to have multiple positions
(ex: RW, RM, RWB)
Thanks for making these videos. Thanks to your previous video on manager career mode I found out that Tony Pulis wears a cap in cutscenes. I found it so hilarious that I started my own series on TH-cam.
The manager in player career mode always do stupid decisions (at least in fifa 17, idk about fifa 18). If it's 0-0 and there is 15 minutes still to play, the manager is always going to decide to go "all out attack", even during a cup tie. That made me lose so many games because of late counterattacks
Also if your a LM or RM you cant hve 90+ pace without being smaller than 3ft6. Cuz you know Ronaldo isn't fast nor is Usain Bolt
All in all I know you called it a parody, but every year I get myself both Fifa and PES and even tho I preffer playing career mode with a team in Fifa or go get some aids in FUT instead of MyClub, but one thing that EA can't surpass Konami with is a single player career mode. Even tho it isn't like revolutariony great or anything, it has something to it, something that makes me want to play PES, makes me want to create your next legend of Football, you know what I mean.
Anyway PES has some really nice animations, they seem to give you that flow and especially with that camera behind the back of your player. It's a new level of fun, but I guess you already know it.

I forgot to add that character creations in PES is far better than in Fifa. You can create a lot of different looking players and they will look natural, good actually. Fifa not as much, but well go play Pro Clubs and you'll get your blue-haired Hernan Crespo and some 200 cm tall players with green afro.
Number 4 gets me all the time. I don't even look at the position indicator anymore because the rest of the team are either being just stupid AI, or pass me the ball when I ask for it to play one touch football to may the play quicker. That "Stay in position" indicator drops your match rating so drastically, I had a 5.6 match rating less than 10 in game minutes into the match from the original 6.0. I'm a LW, but the AI is so bad, I'm always having to come back to bring the ball out of our own half. EVERY TIME. I'm currently doing a player career mode with Portuguese side Moreirense. If FIFA can't fix this in their next game, I'm buying PES from then on.

My pet hate is you being blamed for a poor pass from your team mates
that is why I am not buying fifa18, the career mode has no improvement except for transfer animation. Years after years, EA Fifa department has fail to deliver a fun experience in the career mode, they only offer a pathetic economical system, repetitive game results, dull characters that works one way. reality the ironic thing is that even Fifa cousins, NHL 2018 and Madden 18 have made progress in their career mode and are fun to play with.
timmyfung01 Fifa is all about ultimate team. They don't care for the other game modes and why should they when they make so much money from FUT microtransactions and nothing from other modes.
Manu Gupta that's why I'm not buying it anymore, and I am not the only one, I know more than few people who only play off_line, they too are getting sick of fifa minimum improvement, EA is losing part of their customers for temporary profit.
And why am I paying more to play online? I paid for the console, I paid for the game, and now I need to pay more to get into Fut? this is ridiculous
I know, I used to play Madden, and it's career mode is INCREDIBLE. Now I play fifa and It's just dissapointing how bad it's career mode is.
Play hacked the Journey and you can replace Alex with your pro.

Some career modes where I do really well in pre season, I get kept and play every game, but then if I only score 2 goals or something, I don’t get loaned or anything, just kept, nor played whatsoever

Alex Hunter is the capitiain of my FUT 18 team and has generally 3-4 assists and he is very good at penaltys.
Don’t forget about the fact that the striker on ur team if ur a midfielder or if they’re ur strike partner is always SHIT

The position indicator is clapped, i ran into the opposition box to take a shot, I missed I then had the sprint for my life. I was 7.4 after I was 6.7
They need to make the transfers the same as manager mode

I get email pages of games that are already played, and have no relevance what so ever to the games ahead, and it even helpfully says so.
It took me 2 bloody years of asking before every fooking game, to get a loan spell..
No matter how good you are, you will never play in the first world-cup.. since you started the game.
Being on 1 line with the last defender is NOT offside... you cant be offside from a throw in eighter.

The Journey sucks...where as Career mode is what they should have put their time into. Oh wait ... EA only get wet over microtransactions. Looks like career mode for FIFA 19 is going to be a cut scene of your character walking to the shops and buying a pack of panini stickers (using the frostbyte engine, of course)

I remember in FIFA 11 on the wii there were substitutions for my player
I fucking hate it when you pass it to an already out of position CM, in my case usually Arturo Vidal, and instead of passing to you when you get into the box they dick around with it back in midfield. Either that or they pass it to you when 5 defenders, the keeper, and even the fucking ref close you down or they pass it back to you immediately and then you ram into a defender and give him the ball. Or when you pass it to a winger, in my case usually Kingsley Coman, and they fucking just run to the corner and hang onto it and then get dispossessed by the full back. Or when they fucking pass to an entirely different player that's in a worse position yet they somehow score and you're just sat there with a 6.0 rating wishing you'd just went out to the pitch and played irl. I really fucking hope they fix it. Also the one time any defender did something remotely competent in player career he got sent off. I think I was playing Schalke when the ball was cleared after a corner and went to their striker and Joshua Kimmich just barely got to him and slid in getting good contact on the ball in the nick of time but also taking out the striker and he got a fucking red card. *Edit, that booking was probably because of recklessness*
I was at Norwich and I was 87 rated and I put in a transfer request and I still can’t leave. Finally, I get an offer from Stoke, who were getting 7th, and a 87 rated Mr. OminousOmelette is second choice as 79 rated Wilfred Bony is above him.
1 - Please make it possible to change position, like develop to play multiple positions. Half the accomplishments are "as a forward, as a defender" but once you choose to be a ST those accomplishments are dead to you
2 - Make match rating fairer. Example: Bad Pass = -3 but Good Pass = fuck all
3 - no transfer animation, why?
4 - what is the point of international, as much atmosphere as a school sports day
5 - most importantly, BECOME CAPTAIN... can I bring back your memory to FIFA 07, there was a 5 stage progression in your club. As far as can remember it was reserve, sub, first 11, captain and then club legend.... why not bring that back. I can be playing for a league 2 side for 6 years be 20 overall better than everyone bring the club to win the prem, CL etc. and yet 61 rated whoever who transfered in from Fleetwood that season is captain wtf?

tomdabomb1997 I play career mode alot and I enjoy the accomplishments, most of the improvements I want come from training but accomplishments help out my other stats and improve my rating

Game will never been fixed while you have people spending tens of thousands on digital packs that are shit anyway,unless there is a mass stand up or just loads of people don't buy the game, the "offline" stuff will never improve
