kkim5000 I’ve been watching the Milwaukee Bucks for a few years and I can say honestly say this is the best team I have seen playing.
@@generalhyde007 I dunno about the Bucks being the "best team", best team in the east, sure, but their style of play is definitely very interesting to watch and they are very well drilled as a team. This tells us 2 things; 1. The coach is very good at devising the teams playing style and drilling his players on their roles in the system, and 2. The system is built around the strengths and weaknesses of their best player, Giannis. It's the same with my Lakers right now. Funny how neither team plays small ball, shoot a hundred 3's a game, like many other teams!
kkim5000 idk why but this reminded me of Pokémon hahaha

Matt Dale Milwaukee actually shoots the third most 3’s in the league with 39.8 attempts per game. They’re only behind Houston and Dallas in attempted 3-pointers. Lakers are number 25 though

"I don't care about this kid from Europe" Stephen A Smith best joke
European basketball is really looked down upon (as are most european things/people by the Americans) but Luka and Giannis are typical products of it and it shows in their progress. In Europe we don't care who has the biggest muscles or who's smashed the basket with a dunk. We don't care whether you win by half a point by shooting free throws over the last 5 minutes because coaches play strategically to force free throws. We don't care about drama, superteams and all that crap. It's only about the game. And in Europe you gotta play defence. It's the first thing you learn when you pick up a ball.
PewDiePie The Nazi most players in the NBA play for themselves- their own stats, ego, and most importantly, money. The players in Europe play an actual team sports where they make one another better. This comes from a guy living in the US
NST 5 what the balls that just makes no sense the reason why players get switched around so much in the NBA is because there is more money involved and as we have seen there is more star power in NBA then ever before and teams have a limit on how much money they can spend on players, like the same would apply in Europe if it was as big and had as much star power the NBA has
yeah, I agree. NBA is the best league about basketball. We can't contest it.
If a real dream team made from regular NBA teams against any country, I think there will be nothing to say but just to look at the score.
Somehow, because NBA is at he top, other countries get inspired by. Even Doncic said that James was his model. OK, generation clash. The firs begins his career, the King is about to pass the crown.
Maybe in some years, because of generations in E.U or the world looking up to NBA they will all learn and teach back how the things are to level up their games.
All is about culture in collective sport. If it's important for the soft political power to invest in, any country can stand before an american dream team.

Make a test easier and everyone gets higher grades.
Man can I use this phrase sometimes
U act like the nba is easier now
PrismoIsSad its not that its easier to win but it is much easier to score high. Because thats all everyone is doing. People get to score 30, 40 even 50 points in a game because they are skilled and being left alone. Its like if an nba player was to play against a 11 year old on defense. They can just shoot an open shot. The reason its not easier to win is because thats what everyone is doing. Everyone is scoring so high that scoring high doesn't do much difference.
Game Zero its not easier to score there bud! Ever heard of the man to man rule being erased.. defense is at an all time high and so is offense just is!
Big N Small Catches I can agree but I feel simply put offense is gonna be on the rise because NBA has decided to go with faster pace games
These stats out here looking like my career😭😭
The 90s were basically man to man where it was really hard to score at that time. Today teams are just basically relying on one or two star players on their team to lead to a victory. Dont forget about defense also.
i means back then as long as u can beat the other person 1 on 1 u have a clear path to the rim since the other players can't double team you or wait for u at the rim without getting a foul, thats why in the 2000 they allowed "illegal defense",the 2000s team were scoring way less than ever before but after steph curry does his things, team adapted and start shooting the ball more often instead of just try to 1 on 1 then end up getting double teamed at the rim.If they add back the no illegal defense rule then guys like giannis,lebron,durant,.. will dominate even more since let be honest,to overpower those guys u need more than 1 defender.Hand checking however is a different story.
Can you imagine MJ, Bird and Magic in this era. You would need new nets evey half.
Everyone says that, but it's completely wrong. In that "time" teams couldn't play zone defense so they always had to play man to man on Jordan. etc. Once they removed that rule, Jordan's numbers dropped and he, like many other superstars of that time, complained that scoring was too difficult. Know your history. So most likely, those guys would only do as well as the best playing right now. They would NOT be dropping 60 a night. They would be on par with Harden, Curry, LeBron, etc
Jason Vyzer exactly they don’t know what they’re talking about
@@chrisringer5778 what makes you state that this kids can not be better than Jordan? Why everybody has Jordan so godlike that most people don't even consider the possibility of someone being better than him...well guess what, I don't know if it is Luka or not, but sooner or later, someone will be better than Jordan even if they don't win 6 titles...and that day will arrive, but still these Oldschool lovers will keep repeating "the old times were better" even with the numbers in front of their faces. So there's no point in argue because simply they don't want the change, they don't like the change. And for some it's even like an insult saying that the best basketball player in history might not be from the United States.
Whex You have to achieve something to be considered in Jordan Tier. You can ask Luka about that ? Remember This statement Luka Doncic : “You can’t compare anybody to Jordan”. Y’all TH-cam motherfucka’s and the media are the only ones trying to push this narrative. Now tell me this how a player that player that plays one side of the ball gonna be better then a 2 way scoring god like MJ. 🤔🤔🤔
@G C I'm not trying to take away from Jordan's greatness. He is most likely the best player to play, but I don't think he would be doing something "other worldly", like scoring 60 a night, under today's rules. Yes, teams could double Jordan, but that would leave someone like Kerr or Pippen open and it wasn't sustainable for an entire game. Most fans today have no clue that zone defense was illegal in his time. Hand checking plays a role, but not as much as I think the old guys would like us to believe. The NBA has evolved more towards a position-less game and a lot of the older bigs would have no place in it--but that's a different discussion.
I am old enough to remember when traveling was a thing ... First shot of Harden * takes 27 steps * Get off my lawn ! etc.
It still is, it's just that refs don't call it (and carrying violations) anymore. Because if they do, the NBA would look like a bunch of amateurs and that will only hurt the league.
Carlo Caparras they DO look like amateurs, because AMATEURS are the ones that travel a lot. 🙂
I do agree that there are some instances of missed travels, but MOST are just players abusing the rules. They're still abiding by them, but they're just abusing it and making the most out of what they can do. That's why refs don't call it.

This video is amazing! Not just the stats or the player's performances, but the PRESENTATION! The background music is perfect, the order of information given in your video makes it so entertaining. You are such a good youtuber dude.
In November 30th 2019, James Harden had the best free throw shooting contest performance ever
You mean like when he scored 55 with 5 free throws last night?
@@xX1234512345xX no the night he scored 25fts.
And shot 10 for 41
HE HAS BACK TO BACK 50 POINT GAMES WITHOUT MORE THA 6 FTA IN EACH GAME 50 POINT GAMES BY HARDEN THIS YEAR 5 BY THE REST OF THE LEAGUE COMBINED 5 EAT IT THE BEST ON THE PLANET LIKE IT OR NOT
@@williamgee6654 yeah that's a rarity. Usually he gets to 50 with allot of free throws
Just imagine if a dominant offensive player like Shaq or Jordan was in this league...
Shaw already is here , ajd even more athletic called as giannis
@Krystal Giove lebron couldnt score more , if he could than he wouldnt have missed the playoffs last year
qwerty asdfg lebron mossed the playoffs cuz his second option LONZO FUCKING BALL was out half the season and he himself was injured for like the first time in his career. Remover the Lakers struggled so much with injuries that a part time math tutor that looks about 70 got minutes. Imagine if Giannis started to play basketball when he was 4, this man would have broke the league
Would*
*Giannis
Oops my bad I meant to put would 😂😂 my bad I accidentally put wouldn’t thanks for reminding me
Dang it I spelled his name wrong
You literally mispelled everything tbh😆
Long story short DEFENSE IS A JOKE IN TODAYS NBA
I miss the 90s! I don't miss the 90s lazy ball though when it wasn't a playoff game.
Marc Telesha Defense is not the issue players can’t defend offense of juggernaut anymore
76ers take it seriously
The rules have been set up way too far in favour of the offence now; it's a bit ridiculous.
Today, nobody plays darn defense. I agree
This is what you get when 98% league could give a damn about Defense
That's why I am betting on the clippers to win it all. They are the 2% that give a damn about defense.
Defense is where players go to rest
Jerry MacGuire lol
Jerry MacGuire lmao
offense is smarter than ever and so is defense. yes defense was more effective in the 90s, but defensive schematics are the best now than they ever were. you talk about the past but defense was shit in 60s and 70s. it's just the 90s that are better.
Here 3 years later. Luka still that same beast, Giannis is the greatest basketball player in the world currently, and Kawhi STILL playing 1/3-1/4 of a season. The more things change, the more they stay the same
The klaw doesn't even play
Last year :
Mvp : Giannis
Roy : Luka
Dpoy : Gobert
Damn europeans are taking over the NBA
Mip was Siakam and he was a foreigner to.
I’m a mavs fan and I hope Luka wins this year but my guy James harden was robbed of an mvp last year. Go ahead and flood me with comments about “playoff choker” but it’s a REGULAR SEASON trophy.
Jim Smith to be fair it’s about TEAM success. And Giannis was and is arguably more important than James. And the voters thought so too.
@@jimsmith9257 giannis winning a lot was
the deciding factor of mvp
Wait... But Giannis is African 😅
Having not paid attention to the NBA in almost 20 years, this video gave me the best and quickest heads up how the game has changed. Cheers!
BTW: I personally think it is a shame that defense is now neglected. Good times when titans like David, Shaq, Hakeem and Patrick ruled the paint! But that is probably just an old man talking here.
Random Person
Two words:
Charles Oakley.
😁
He makes defense sound way worse than it actually is here. It’s changed a lot, the rules favor offense more but there still plenty of teams who play great defense
Many of the best teams in the league right now are reasonably strong on defense - the Clippers, the Celtics, the Raptors, and so on. There are others who can turn it on. It just so happens that you can build an offensive squad and perform well - see Houston.
Yeah I wish there was still a big man but at the same time they are trying to make it more skilled so you don't have to be a physical beast but you can also be more skilled like luka
It’s a show during the regular season.
Come payoffs, defense still goes full lock down mode.
And today u have to defend correctly no hand checked bs.
90s player would foul out in 2 quarters playing that kind of defense today.
So it’s much harder to defend in todays era. That’s why they don’t spend that much energy on that side of the court during 82 stretch of games.
Simple answer: More offensive oriented and absolutely NO DEFENCE
That's exactly what supposed to happen with a less defense orientated league system. To a lesser extent to Gianis he's not shooting 20 free throws or step back threes.
.... and that system leads to .... loosing against other countries at the world championship... offense wins games... everyone knows the end of this line
How about players are getting better and they taking more 3s.. my nigga y'all blind as fuck if you can't see that players are getting better,
@@jeromecrockett2311 your logic off. Players would be better better at defense too right? Which I agree players are better. But they only let people be better at offense. Not defense, bc the average person doesn't care about defense
@@bernardking7668 actually we can go watch the highlights I been watching them all day, niggas was getting blowed by on defense back in the day.. since today they can't rely on hand checking like back in the day, they have to practice staying In front of the players,, which means players today actually stay with guys better when playing man to man or guarding someone... Y'all just stuck in the past go watch film on the 90s the defense being harder is very exaggerated
Jimmy: James harden would have had the best game in NBA history
Me: What happened to Wilt Chamberlain
well if back then they counted steals and blocks no doubt Wilt would have a game score of 60 on average and a 90-100+ for his 100pts game
To be fair, the game was easier to score back then. They even took 30-40 more shots per game and almost all went to Wilt
They didn’t even have game score until 26 years after wilt’s 100 point game, 15 years after he retired, 13 years after he got into the hall of fame, after he began his second career, and after he retired from volleyball, and after he got inducted into his 2nd hall of fame after his second career. Something tells me he didn’t have a game score for that game.
These high school tests be lame...
But Jimmy's videos belong in the hall of fame
“If you take Luka off this Dallas Squad, You are looking at, arguably, one of the worst teams in the NBA”
That didn’t age too well.
what do you mean?
@@xJayhawkFANx they played well without him
That comment didn't age well...they are considerably worse without him...they are 4-7 without him
@Nameer Hoque Not either way
Noooo the mavs are better than some of these teams
Jxmy puts together some of the cleanest videos on TH-cam hands down🙌🏾
Im a celtics fan but Harden has been my favorite since he was on the thunder, i have his thunder jersey and I have a old poster of him hanging on my wall im a real fan i will put that on my life, its crazy to see how great he was and im not even noticing
*Points to Chart*
Imma tell my kids this was Jimmy Highroller
2:01 at the bottom right of the graph it's basically all james harden😂
9:36 Giannis and one then Smoke Detector Beep. Love that timing
Barely heard it but it was perfect
looking at this 1.5 years later, Luka really only had 27.58 PER on 19-20 season. Giannis on the other hand had 31.86, which was THE greatest of all time.
Giannis' PER was better in the video too.
3:18 James Harden revolutionized the NBA with the double stepback travel. Now everyone is doing it
no....i think his beard stinks and players don't want to put D on him.
When it says no views you already know.
Dhiren singh what
All this shows is that Players overall have given up on defense since 8 years ago.
The fucking truth.
Nah, it's just harder because the spacing is insane now. Everyone can shoot. If you go out to shooters, driving is easier, and finishing inside cause there's less bodies.
@@infinitibanduk4424 Everything is easier.
Nah I would say like 5 years ago during the 13-14 or 14-15 season when the entire league caught the 3 point disease spread by the Rockets and Warriors caused defense to get harder to play and less emphasis on it.
Idk. It just seems anyone than can shoot 30% from 3. 50% from the the field with 60% free throw. Can score 50 a game with 40 shots lol. Whether it's a bad night or not.
I think it’s good to see International players showing what their made of in this new age of basketball, people like Giannis and luka are gonna pave a new path for more international players like them.
like so the day when Jxmmy says “till next time” never comes 🥺

Honestly looking at those highlights and you barely see anyone trying to defend shit besides Giannis
Watch toronto raptors and clippers game, such good defense on both ends
Bro lakers hold magic to 9 points in 1st quarter!! 9 points !! And have you seen AD and giannis, they play hard defense every night, i'm just seeing AD against giannis duel that would incredible

Jimmy out here making ESPN look like chumps! 🙌🏻
Jimmy should have a chart on how many times harden travels throughout his career.
The number is smaller than you imagined
More of like how many fouls called due to flopping
Love the way the Warriors played during that 5-year run. Super sad that, in all likelihood, is over. Freewheeling, tons of passes, assists, and still fantastic defense.
theyre in the finals this year! :D
and they won the finals that year
