    This is probably one of the best videos on reselling that I've seen. This is probably 2 years of free experience advice. Very thorough yet easy to understand. Well done. You have great knowledge

    I don't know if you already do this, but you could also rent out areas of the parking lot for storing trailers, campers, etc.

      Do it. You have to find a way to keep that junk moving and you may be surprised how much you can make. Don't forget to make sure you mix a few good items in also to keep them looking.

    I love your setup, I have so much stuff from storage units that doesnt sell well online or its too cheap $5-$15. I end up just donating it, covid shut all our swap meets down.
    Clothes are another, tons of nice clothes, but sell so slow for me online.

      Thanks. We get tons of clothes. Most we sell for $1.00 on the front sidewalk.

    My area is kinda hard to get started,there's I think there's two flea markets here, an indoor one that's a bit expensive for the space considering the neighborhood, and an outside one that seems to be really polarized, reviews are basically either 1 star or 5 and not much in between.
    What's your thoughts on buying a store rather than renting? Big investment, but more freedom in my mind.
    Have you considered other ways to bring people to the store like propane exchange or car chargers?
    As to the naming thing, since I do a bunch of things other than resale, my busincess name is Xcetera Enterprises, however I use DBAs to give the specific parts names that identify what we do, since at least here in MO, DBAs are $7 for 2 years IIRC, so cheap naming and name change to create the image I want to project.

      @RedDirtResale  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can afford to buy commercial real estate then yes that would be a great idea. Propane exchange would be good or any other ways that you can get people in that don't require a lot of extra overhead, capital and time.

    • @WanderingCactus
      @WanderingCactus ปีที่แล้ว

      @Red Dirt Resale Yeah, that was my idea with the propane exchange, what could I do to bring people to the property without investing much if'n anything? So far my list is moving trucks, propane exchange, package lockers (prolly Amazon since I think the all service ones you have to buy), car charging and soda machines outside. Inside, mail box rental, not sure what else I could do.

    .. incredible Daniel. ..
    *question though; the big sign in front of your lot - Why isn't it turned facing the highway ?
    .. seems like a worthwhile investment - if the landlord agrees and is his.(perspective, hard to tell)

      It faces sideways so it can be seen by people as they are driving up and down the road.

    I am starting at my own house, a once a month event, do we still have to have the insurance and all? It is going to be a more upscale "garage sale"?

    Do you buy new goods to sell? Or is it all used or liquidated merch?

    • @RedDirtResale

      We buy storage auction units which can be new and used items and we buy pallet merchandise which can also be new and used.

    Should you start as llc or sole proprietor

    • @RedDirtResale
      @RedDirtResale  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You could do either but at first if it is just you and no employees sole proprietor should be fine. If you start hiring people and accumulating any equipment, supplies, assets then you should do an LLC. Just my opinion.
