Great Review. I own the a119 mini for about 8 weeks now. Summer was brutally hot (38°C / 100°F) for most of these weeks in germany and i never had any heat related issues or shutdowns. It gets a bit warm and that's it.
Prices similar! 40% difference, if you were to calculate the sq ins, because of the thickness of the mini it may actually be bigger, V3 is still the best bang for the $
I agree the V3 really is one of the best value, but if you compare all cameras, the prices are relatively similar. My main blackvue camera costs $600. $40 IMO is not much of a difference when we are looking at the high end blackvue, thinkware, or even some of the Viofo cams. Some cams are only $40 and some are $60 on amazon. When you say one is 50% more that sounds like a lot mroe than just $20. Thanks for watching!

I have not heard of that brand. There are so many brands that come out of China. new companies will pop up all the time.

@@awatjack5638 I have used DDpai and i liked their cams in the past but I personally dont like that their last few models had build in memory. They seemed pretty decent overall tho compared to many of the no name brands.
@@integralcam Thanks. I have just bought Viofo a119 mini. The price is not too much difference from a119 v3 here in my country.
The product title states this can record at 60 fps but some people are saying this is not a true claim, can you confirm whether or not the mini can record at 60fps?

You can read the plates on the cars next to you better with the V3, much better. Any idea why? Night time the mini wins tho.
How is the nighttime, low light environment and ability to clearly capture plates on the older model A119 v3?
I still use the A119 V3 as a secondary backup front camera in my truck. It's really hard to beat that camera even years later. Recording plates at night is extremely difficult for cameras that are gonna be affordable and compact , so I think the V3 still does low light conditions very well for its age. I didn't feel I needed to upgrade to the A119 Mini, although if I were to buy one of the two today Id probably get the mini just for the new features.

Typically higher resolution means you get more detail, for example you might be able to make out a license plate of car. but there are other factors such as bit rate, frame rate, low light performance, that all affect that too.
