Honestly Polychome DSP is amazing. I am speechless how amazing it sounds. The value is incredible. This is a must for any guitar players. Just got it and have spent 5 hours straight on it and still blown away. 5 star
McRocklin has used it for a show and livestreams. Many of our customers are using this for their live guitar tones. With a small compact audio interface and a laptop, or we’ve seen some users take a Mac mini with a 10’ display live too. Feel free to pop on the McRocklin discord to chat with him and the team/users at www.mcrocklin.com/discord
I built a small windows computer rig around PolyChromeDSP and using MIDI control (preset mode) for a several weeks now; works great and sounds great. No issues with reliability, latency etc.
ok, been exploring 1.5 for the last few hours and it sounds better than ever! it was great at launch, now it's just crazy good on another level! Great work & congratulations; well done! Cheers!
@@polychromedsp it’s perfect for the player like me who just wants the best tones when inspiration hits with minimal time spent tweaking. Thank you guys.
This is one of my favourite amp suites ever, but for me its missing one thing which is stereo in and stereo out. I love using widening plugins before my amp in the signal chain and i often use a seperate IR loader, so it would be awesome to have that stereo input support to make this the ultimate be all end all guitar sim
Greetings Thomas! I own several neural dsps, but yours by Polychrome is my favorite and most natural! Really awesome graphics too. I like the colours and arrangement. Thanks man, you make us wanna rock really bad!
all i can say is wow ! and thanks to mcrocklin and polychrome dsp this plugin feels like an amp vs neural dsp !! pdc in reaper is 2 compared to 63 (neural dsp ).@ 128 samples wow !!!! thank you !!! my fav guitar plugin !!!!
YES! I can finally use it live! Soon as I get some cash, I'm picking this up. This paired with a Nektar Pacer, Behringer FCB1010, or anything like that with a simple audio interface (like an AXE I/O) is the ultimate budget rig.
my apologies if this has been asked but is there a way to only view NEW 1.5 presets? There are so many i forget what was already there and want to see if any new ones make my favorite list. Thanks!
Duh!@@polychromedsp I just upgraded this morning and there it was staring me in the face! Thanks! I guess I just wanted to check before i upgraded as I'm sure we have all been burned with upgrades that change our apps. Hey, we're about to upload a video on this. If you have't already figured it out you add the plugin on an instrument track, and take the audio input from the sidechain on the top right. Yep, Logic is kinda weird.
Hi few questions I run a wdw setup can you do this with poly or 2 versions at once ? Does it do a Tri stereo type chorus ( as the only chorus I can find as one knob so no depth control ? Can the delay do a circular delay Looking for a Lukather type sound ? Has the midi been fixed in demo model ? Could you add a few more demo presets pls ?
Going fo rthe update right now BUTTTTT, you said something about daw sees as new? So if I install the new version will my daw project see this at all? will I lose the setting for that track where I used the old plugin?
I love PolyChrome, and the new features in 1.5 are amazing. The growth from 1.0 to where we are now has been awesome. That all said… other than my own presets, I greatly favor the 1.1x presets (back when we only had four speaker chains). I find that at least on my setup, so many of the newer gain presets have this underlying fizziness that I find unpleasant. It’s all personal preference of course, and it’s really a nitpick level complaint considering that PolyChrome gives me the ability to dial in almost anything I want on my own.
This plugin sorta answers the OBVIOUS RED FLAG issue that all the plugins sorta have (minus STL tone)... is they all have this weird EQ... that seems to fit fine in their mixes etc... but is completely NOT useable for anyone else. Like glaringly obvious that none of the tones sit in a mix right. This (and the STL tone stuff) seemed to have figured out... "OH we need to have this stuff EQ'd where it actually sounds good in a mix...." I HOPE there is more of a push for this in the future because I don't want to treat plugins like I have to treat drums rofl. I just wanna play. You can tell this was made from someone who gets as pissed as I do that plugins all sound like crap out of the box rofl. This one sounds amazing. Thanks Tom.
It is a very fun software. Visually attractive and with many presets ready to use, ideal for synthwave, playing over backing tracks and having a good time. However, I have two cons. On the one hand, the attack feels strange, no matter how much I adjust the compressor, noise gate (very noisy by the way), presence and other parameters. And on the other hand, it's great that it's so easy to use, but I personally lack adjustment options (cabs, microphones, chorus, spreak...) to get my sound and replace my GT1000 for my recordings. Despite this, I like it more than the neural plugins :)
I have two gt1000’s you may have tried my presets for it, the gt1000 has quite a different approach to amps and speakers to what we use. There is no right and wrong, it’s all personal preference. Obviously this suite is designed to sound and behave exactly how I wanted it to. There varies ways you can get a very attack based sound if that’s what you’re looking for, but because it is so flexible maybe you haven’t got to that type of sound yet. This is where the 500+ presets come in, it makes it sooo much easier to simply load a fully dialled in preset 👍🏻
Yes of course, in fact, I used some of your presets as a reference to create some of my presets and I came up with some ideas like using the expression pedal to increase the reverb :D@@McRocklin
Having a problem i cant see how to fix. When mapping the midi controller and I put someting like the phaser or oct on a foot switch it wont toggle even when i go into the midi mapping section and change it to toggle. It just always stays on tap on/release off mode. I cant figure out why ghe toggle wont work.
Hello! Have you submitted support ticket, or asked on our Discord polychromedsp.com/discord/ There is a toggle option in the midi settings. Click the PolyChrome DSP logo and change the mapping to toggle mode. Hopefully that should work as expected.
@@polychromedsp yeah that's what I was saying. I go into the mapping and change the value to toggle and it still doesn't work. I know it isn't the controller because the toggle works on the NDSP plugins with it. Guess it's a glitch
