Thanks for this video. It was so many years since I have t heard this song. This song was an addition to Sans Logique 45rpm but has never appeared of any Mylene’s LP. In 1992, to contribute to Étienne Daho’project Urgence, she gave him this song. And all her copyrights to AIDS research, as all the artists that got on board this URGENCE LP. I am aware that she “talks” about her dad, but the context of this song release, this LP, crowfunding to help people dying from AIDS, which was not that easy in 1992 although thousands of people were awfully suffering and dying like the worst outcasts, just because pharmaceutical companies, listening to media that couldn’t talk about AIDS without mentioning Gay people and pretending that it was not a worldwide issue, whatever your sexuality is, so these companies didn’t get early enough that they could get huge benefits from developing some life savers cures. And a lot of nations kept silence, way too long. For me, which was 14 yo in 1992… very young but already aware as my mother used to have a lot of friends that were positive, this song, even if I know she is talking about her father in his death bed, is related, in a much more opened spectrum, to the unresolvable unfairness of life, and to all of these people, at that time, that have to watch so many of their friends and lovers helplessly passing out, with no possibility of action and no solution.
