My mother, here in some place in South Europe, has a big stock of all sort of concentrations of Van Cleef & Arpels Gem that she keeps like gold. It is, literally, a slap on the face to 99% of modern perfumery. Such a nectar. And no, we’re not selling a single drop :)

I've always wondered how in the world was she able to obtain the project for co-creating Epic Woman 🤔 Regardless, I'm so glad she did and wholeheartedly agree she BLEW UP extremely quick. I feel Amouage and C. Chong DEFINITELY played a HUGE part in her continued and well deserved success. Similarly, would love to see your next " Ranked Parfumer Portfolio" vid on her counter-part (and my personal favorite parfumer), Karine Vinchon-Spehner, who also rose to fame with the help of Amouage + C. And about Tango, I think it is the only amber fragrance I can wear comfortably. It dries down to a chalky spicy port-wine-like liquor. One needs to be super careful with the trigger though :)
I just got Silver Oud for $199 shipped from a discounter. I’m sure it will get even cheaper going forward. I absolutely love Epic woman and have Memoir Woman on the way. I’m starting to enjoy the woman’s line more than the men’s.
I honestly like their new take on fragrances. Part of that might be that I'm not a huge fan of most of their older fragrances. I'm not sure though why folks would be bothered by a somewhat new direction. Every company evolves over time, you have to, and those that prefer the traditional Amouage dna already have so many fragrances to choose from anyway.
I completely agree with your number one. Only thing that might be a touch better imo is the OG Extrait from '09. Which is simply stunning..... Great overview 🙏🏻✌🏻

From what I've learned it appears to express ideas pertaining to gambling,rolling the dice and awaiting the outcome of ones fate. After everyone has placed their bets at a gambling table the dealer says *ALL BETS HAVE BEEN PLACED. Therefore they can't be changed ,the dye has been cast & and all one can do is sit back to see what ones fate is A very interesting French word & from I've learned from reading the backstory on fragrance, the name of fragrance certainly is linked to Gambling Sorry for confusion. Jura Rose is right and I fully agree with him. Epic Woman (and Epic 56) is a fantastic creation of this woman ! Of course, Epic Woman has a note of Jura's nick (or surname ? ), and it's pretty strong, but I like it so much. Perfectly fits elegant white shirt. Surprisingly just by accident my SOTD is Epic W :D love it! Epic W 56 on the other hand is way too cloying and gives me a headache easily, I almost bought a bottle of it at some point, but GLAD that I didn't! She's great, though I agree not every of her work speaks to my heart. But overall she's great!
@@RamseytheRam I would take it further and say that I wouldn't get a bottle of 56 if I won't have a bottle of original Epic. It just isn't as refined and delicate as the original. At least to my nose. 56 was completely unnecessary imho, I don't know what Amouage is doing.
Why do you own a whole bottle of Ani if you don’t like it? Was it a blind buy? I think it is very unique and special, yet hardly ever wear it. Have a decant. It is quite powerful. It is a bit MUCH. And I normally like loud fragrances.
Almost everything you see on my shelfs are blind buys 99% of the time... i refuse to give a brand 40 to 100 bucks for samples ... so i blind buy everything unless samples get sent to me by friends in the community...which I am very lucky to have so many 😊

If I could have one more Amouage woman's line it would be Memoir Woman 1st and Overture Woman 2nd
