Welcome to the channel! I have tons of love for Reflection 45, very admirable that Amouage changed and enriched the notes to make it stand out even more while keeping the fresh, woody outdoor vibe. I will be preordering Jubilation 40, very much looking forward to that!
Great video mate.. I have struggled to get into the house until recently. I have only been in niche perfumes for less than two years so the nose is still getting used to the notes. I love Reflection man, Honor and Search which I have bottles of. Jubilation xxv and Ref 45 is on my list to buy. Journey is another fav. Anyways thank you for sharing and keep up the great work ❤🙌👍
I appreciate that! With Amouage, getting samples to wear on skin is a must. Some you don't think you will like end up turning out to be your favorite after giving them a few good wears on skin! Happened to me with Fate, Overture and Beach Hut man.
@universalfragrance I just found your channel, I'm a lady that's just loving fragrance and I agree...Beach Hut Man is a fantastic scent for men!! Though, not for everyone (But of course, nothing is for everybody. That's what makes fragrances so much fun to try and discover!) A friend of mine bought her husband Beach Hut Man for his birthday a year or two ago and from the bottle, it's wonderful On skin, fragrance evolves and changes so I'm sure it's even better than I remember. Even if these are men directed fragrances and videos here, I love how you present a fragrance and your descriptions. Loved your video describing new and old versions of Riverside Drive too!
Hi and welcome to the channel! Very much appreciate the compliment on presentation style. I agree about Beach Hut man, I was not a huge fan at first but grew to love it. Its is so fresh and so green/resinous with excellent development and quality raw materials like all Amouage. I'm actually about to film another update on the old vs new Riverside drive. I will also throw in Gramercy Park aged vs new (same batch) along with Hamptons and some others to talk about the maceration of Bond no.9 fragrances and how they age in depth; so be on the lookout! @@IndigoRoses7
Black Iris is my least favorite of the 3 but many others favorite of the house! Taking out the oregano and pimento berry and replacing them with rosemary, violet leaves and orris makes it a much cleaner and more wearable version. I really appreciate the offering from Amouage and enjoy it but prefer the original much much more.
@@universalfragrance I got it because it was on sale . I play to but reflection 45 next , from your experience is the performance good on reflection 45?
Reflection 45 and all the extraits are beast mode. 24-36 hours on skin or more with strong projection the whole time. You even smell it after showering; sometimes I wear it two days in a row, spraying lighter the second day or before wearing Interlude 53 since Interlude 53 is so strong yet smooth. @@NicoBearon
I'd say 1 Bracken 2 Epic 3 Royal Tobacco 4 Interlude 5 Honour Also, I thought about King Blue and whether it was masculine, and determined that no human, whether man, woman, or anything in between, should wear King Blue, so the point was moot.
Great list; I left Bracken Man out as it is no longer available and clowns are trying to charge over $600 for a bottle now on ebay lol. I had a chance to buy it for $190 years ago and passed on it. Fear of missing out is real and the same thing happened years ago with Central Park from Bond no.9; which I feel is a much better fragrance. King Blue seems to be like Silver Oud, people love it or hate it! So, with that said I will most likely end up loving it 😂😂
@@universalfragrance I was lucky to find a bottle of Bracken! $200 well spent as it's one of my favorite fragrances. Unless you REALLY don't care about expense and hassle, do sample King Blue before buying. It really smells nothing like the name, more like the oud piece from Silver Oud sans smoke with some past-fresh mandarins.
I would say that is a very good deal! I will get samples of King Blue along with the rest of the library series I have not tried. The ingredients look interesting for sure haha@@jove1155
Hey, what happened to your forehead, pal? 😃 I've got a lineup of scents, and if I had to pick the top 5 that give off the most masculine vibes, it would go something like this: 1. Overture Man 2. Bracken Man 3. Interlude 53 Man (can be number 4) 4. Opus XIII Silver Oud (can be number 3) 5. Epic Man Honorable mention: Opus XIV Royal Tobacco. I really like the nice scent of Fate Man, it's pleasant for me, but some people don't fancy it, saying it reminds them of curry and cumin. Personally, I don't think it's like curry at all; curry has this intense and heavy vibe, whereas Fate Man is more light and airy. The cumin isn't as overpowering as it is in Overture Man. It does have a warm and resinous finish, similar to Material, but lighter. I actually have a full bottle of Material. So, Fate Man is my next purchase in my Amouage collection.
Ohhh you know how life goes.... sometimes stuff just finds your face lol! I cannot wait for Beach Hut and Overture man to come in. I will be doing a cold weather video soon; Interlude 53 and Overture will be on that list as well. Glad you are purchasing Fate; it doesn't get enough love IMO and the dry down of it is incredible. Also, to me it is one of the coolest bottles and packaging that Amouage offers.
That is a tough choice because they are so different and yet could both be used in similar situations. I would say if you like tobacco and tonka bean fragrances go with ARGOS Triumph of Bacchus, if you want something more resinous/middle eastern vibes I would go with Jubilation XXV!
For me Amouage is the definiton of Niche Perfumery. Brands like Parfums de Marley and Xerjoff are more like Niche Perfumes with a Designer DNA made in an expensive way.
Absolutely agree! They make very unique and quality fragrances that are not for everyone. Amouage has some great and also terrible fragrances to my nose. Some I would never buy as they are offensive but In my opinion that makes houses like Amouage, Argos and Bond no.9 etc so interesting. If you are making mass appealing, generic fragrances I’m not interested. I’ve always said if you are making something for everybody, you’re not really making anything for anybody. We get into niche fragrances to not smell like everyone else!!
Yes indeed you do. I think you would love it; very masculine fragrance with natural earthy sweetness/woods and some animalic/ funky notes. Got a special video coming soon for my ARGOS fans! They had Nemean Lion back in stock so I bought that and Love Triumphs over war bundled with Birth of Venus to save 17% off the order, plus I used my shop app points at checkout!!! Hopefully I will have it before Thanksgiving
Is it out of stock already?!?! I had not checked back since my purchase. The only way I knew is I signed up for the email reminder on the webpage.@@MrBarrow100
My heavens, that 'limited availability" was apparently not a marketing gimmick 😂Glad I bought mine as soon as I saw it available, I was going to wait for Christmas... @@MrBarrow100

Great list! Glad you included Memoir and Fate, I think that they are very underrated!!!
I just got black iris. I like it but it doesn’t wow me like I assumed it would. Maybe it needs to grow on me
