Met this dude at a show in 2010, one of the few meet your heroes stories that's actually positive xD Literally remembered me when i met him years later. Legend. Also an insane drummer that probably many drummers are inspired by intentionally or unintentionally.

Hi everyone! I really love parkway drive songs and I fell in love with drums so I would like to give it a try. I'd like to know from you guys if you have any recommendations for a beginner drumkit that I could buy or in some way assemble in order to be able to play their songs. I've seen that Ben has used lots of pearl drums but he surely has some modified high quality sets so I wanted to know if cheaper pearl sets are still decent or not and have all you need to play their songs. Of course a similar tone is hard to get also because of skill while playing and the room around you, but would buying from the brand he uses help to reach it? Thanks for the support guys 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥
Hey! Thanks for the comment! I think any beginner kit is a great place to begin! Tho you could argue going with a Pearl kit like Ben's could help you achieve his tone, there are a lot of factors like heads and tuning and dampening that all go into the final sound. This is a long road for every drummer and it starts with something that speaks to you. Try out some beginner kits that fit into your budget and tinker away at getting the sound you want! I find it very interesting that any rock professional drama for the most part if they play zildjian it’s always custom A.

That play byzance series. From traditional/brilliance / polyphonic/ dual and that’s just a few nobody with zildjian seems to mix it up

It’s a board mix for a venue, not something recorded for an album. Guarantee those drums sound amazing in the venue.
I thought that horrible "splut" bass drum sound went out with Lars on the And Justice For All Album.
