We've had two of these bikes for 2 months & absolutely love them. We've been riding 500W hub motors for 8 yrs with 2.5" tires. These 750W hub motors with 3" tires haul you easily up hills ezpz. We live in rural NW Missouri with several hills & no issues whatsoever. We got them for $749 each. We got a $50 off each bike with a code from a reviewer. We also got the front rack on both bikes. Thanks again, Russ, for another great review.
This is the perfect ebike at $799 for people (like me 4 years ago) who are unsure if ebiking is for them. The quality, price and the power (750W hub motor, 52V battery) are there, plus a really cool color. Can't beat it. Oh and the review was very detailed too👍 Engwe will convince more folks into ebiking with this.Ride on Russ!
I'm 71. I have an etrike (TK1), but still want to try riding a bike. This appears to have a low step-through. This would be easier for me to take with me than my trike. I'm quite tempted by this. Love the Sea Green. At this price, if I decide it's not for me after all (which I seriously doubt), it's not such a big deal. If I decide to get it I'll be sure to use your link.
Looks like a nice folding bike. I’ve liked the EP-2 Pro, but it’s fairly hard to deal with as a folder. The smaller 3” wheels were a smart choice, and the step through is better for most people. I know my parents are in the market for some folding bikes, I’ll put this on their radar. It’s certainly a lot more capable than other stuff I’ve seen in that price range. I’ve seen some stuff around where people have codes that will take it down another $50 off that already low price, do you have a code that will do that? Probably worth mentioning, if so.
I confirmed with Engwe and they have given a $50 code for me: RUSS50Off. Please have them use this along with my affiliate link first to order. That link is what gives me the commission. Thanks! The link is in the description of the video.
Rus have you tried going into the setting to adjust the pedal startup? ETA: Check your pop up text at 22:55, I think you need to change one to 'throttle only' instead of pedaling. ;-)
@@imRosco69 The usual method is to tun the bike off, then turn it on while pressing hte + and - buttons. If the system uses P codes then P0 will pop up and you can scroll through and update the values. Warning you can brick your motor with the wrong values in some of the parameters.
It is an intetesting and attractive bike! But what about your previously mentioned concernes with the possible quality-issues with an ebike of this price-class?
Good to hear. The heybike ranger did that and didn't cut off the motor after I stopped pedaling for about 3 seconds. Not very safe. Any chance you will review the Andsky s700? I'm curious if that bike is also like the heybike or the l20. Thanks
I have atleist 100 geese across the street in the morning and night ,what a nuisance ,crap all over the place not very healthy cant go walk over there ,discusting city does nothing

3 rotations, deal killer!!
Hey Russ, you gave the height of the rider as 5.4 inches to 6.2 feet. That's a pretty small rider! Great job as always. Good starter bike.
Funny thing, my buddy was just pulled over by the cops, for not stopping at the stop signs, lol
No ticket though.
😬

Any idea if it will be coming to the UK
$800??? WOW! Too bad this didn't exist when i spent a grand on my wimpy 36 volt, 10AH 350 W bike.
So much more for the money on today’s e-bikes that’s for sure!

I did not try that. I figured many people starting out probably would keep the settings stock to begin their first ebike rides.
@@RussIsRight If they use the P codes, then you could also adjust the spedometer to perfection. Just a thought...
@ebikeengineer how do you do this?

No issues with this ebike! It is made very well.
Does the motor continue to propel you forward even after you stop pedaling? I know some bikes do this for a few seconds.
No. And, there are brake cut-off sensors as well.

I have not been contacted by them.
Does this one goes automatic race
Not sure what you are asking.
Can't you adjust the sensitivity in the settings menu?
Not that I know of.
Engwe told me no, which sucks. It is what it is, tho.
@@imRosco69 That's when a throttle becomes almost a safety must have item. Getting going quickly at a busy intersection.
