Its an okay mod feels fragile enough so that it lacks confidence shifting aggressively. In relaxing sim or arcade games shifting is fine but if your sweating and in second place shredding through your gears. You gotta remind yourself and have in the back of your head..."3D Printed Parts Must Be Careful" its just not something any sim racer should have to feel. If they make a upgraded all aluminium version then 100% go for it. As far as the feel yes it feels nicer and has a locking feeling with each gear but not quite like you expect in a real car. Its more of a harsh drier feeling verse a smooth soft but firm locking in a real shifter. It has a more industrial or military feel "rough around the edges but still works" not a luxury "firm strong but smooth" kinda feeling. It feels like I might imagine shifting a tank or construction vehicle feels. Not a smooth feeling like a sports or supercar. I used the required lithium grease and used so much i had to wipe a bunch of extra grease that rode up the shifter. Hope this helps some ppl understand how it feels.

Ever thought about making those center pieces in metal instead of plastic, cause the wear will eventually ruin it with time.
Had exactly that problem: i bought 2 of them, both broke (in diferent places). This mod is totally crap. A metal piece would be the best imo. But as it is now..no
It seemed that there was a "manufacturing" error about the sliding parts of this mod. 3drap kindly sent me 2 new ones (version 3.3) which seem to be ok atm (at least are not broken). There is also a new 3.5 v which adresses all the previous problems
They have an aluminum and stainless steel gate pattern template now.
Guys who said it broke went ape shit on the screws. They need to only be barely snug. This thing is plastic, it'll warp and break things if you use a breaker bar...
if only we could use the gater on top as i dont want any debris getting into the workings

Just installed it now, have to say i'm impressed with the feeling of the shifter !
What i don't like is that the top plate made in plastic does not fit well in the base... Like not at all. I have to apply strenght and it's not very conforting as it's made of plastic...
And i don't even want to try to change the top plate for the sequential shifter as it does not fit well neither...
What could i do to fix the problem ?
this can happen when you overtighten the side screws. try to loosen them a little.

i just got mine , its actually to do with an assembly sequence, its advisable to screw the plate on first , flip the gate over and then install the rails.
Wonder if i can add an aftermarket shift boot to keep debris out.
I just put this mod on and it doesn’t stay in 1st or 3rd like it’s in place but it goes in to neutral ?
Did you figure out what happened? Maybe the top plate was the wrong way around?
How do I change settings so that when using handbrake it doesnt change to neutral after i let it go? In FH4.

@@arsgaming8435 i think u just turn the 3rd gear and 4th gear into up and down. and thats it
for forza atleast.. and iuno about handbrake i use a usb handbrake i bought off ebay for 60 bucks works great. working onn my t3pa modded pedals with rumble effects. and modded springs. higher resolution for better controll and accuracy.

How does that sequiental shifter work in games as its 3rd and 4th Gear slots? Is it a Setting in game?
TrolleLOL you can go to your game settings and then select the mapping menu. There you can configure what each button will do

Worked OK for 3 days then it broke.
You mean the rubber band-ish thing? or the actual shifter gates?
@@bwest6275 There's nothing to go wrong with the gate although I've got the stainless steel gate which incidentally I had to file some material off the 1-2 and 5-6 gates because the shaft was hitting them and unable to shift. The spring 0:12 which I accept it's a consumable but I would have expected a longer life than 3 days. I had bought two and they both failed within 3 days. I have just received 3 more (new version), they are made with a different filament (Nylon PA12), it does look and feel better than the original and up to now it did not fail although I only had it for about a week.

@@pegador6 The latest version from 3Drap is much better, it has not failed yet, and it has been used nearly everyday. In fact it is the shifter potentiometers that have been failing now. I would recommend the shifter mod 100%.

the reverse on those shifters is used by pressing down the knob and going to the 6th gear.
