@@saraswinerton7202 Have you ever seen a bird or squirrel quickly scurry out of the way of your car seconds before you could have hit them? Humans should also be able to do that naturally but we have become dulled in abilities by technology and reliance on modern medicine.
Idk how people look at their screen and walk outside of their house. I get inside the house but I can't really watch TH-cam or something walking beyond my block
I never use the noise cancelling function. I want to be able to hear what's going on - it might be critical. One exception is when I'm on a plane because it's so noisy depending on where you're seated. But then you don't hear announcements that might be important.
True! But I'm willing to give him a pass on that. I'm going to assume he hadn't seen the video, had reacted on pure instinct and was doing his best to try and recall exactly how he had moved and made his best guess. Definitely one of those moments where everything happens so fast you don't really have time to process exactly how it unfolded.
DAUMM, bro was saved not only by inches, but also by milliseconds, he had the PERFECT amount of acceleration to move from where the head of the car went through in the less than 3 seconds he had to react, simply amazing.
I am the same age as him. He does look much older than me. But I couldn't move as fast as he did. I am tremendously impressed. My late wife, Penny and I worked as Paramedic partners for many years. I know how badly this could have ended. I thank God it didn't.
That's insane how fast the car was moving and him running out of the way quick enough. 😳 Reminds me of those Final Destination movie scenes. 😬 I'm so glad he was alert to his surroundings. He should buy a lottery ticket straight away. I hope the driver is going to be okay.
He would have been directly in the middle so he could have gone either way, the trajectory of the car was heading hard right but it may have looked like it was coming straight on in the beginning.
So is the driver still on the hook for the damages they caused? What if they had actually killed someone? Cuz I mean, medical emergency or not, they still caused all that damage
The fact that he is in his 60's, and can move like that is amazing in itself.
It isn't amazing! It's normal! Maybe you should get off the computer and go for a morning walk!
@@chetatkins321 who said it was normal maybe you should stop making things up
I agree.

Video description says: The pedestrian, Ralph Macia, credits his workout routine at the gym for his faster-than-lightning reflexes.
I was absolutely NOT expecting that car to be moving THAT fast. Holy cow that's some reflexes
NPC?
that was the smartest woman driver
The way he moved, I was thinking it was a man in his thirties. God bless him and the driver. 😌🙏🏽🌟🕊️
?? It’s called being a healthy adult
This is why you should have awareness of your surroundings and not be on your phone all the time
Idk how people look at their screen and walk outside of their house. I get inside the house but I can't really watch TH-cam or something walking beyond my block
That is why i don't wear noise canceling headphones when i am walking out on the street.
I lower the volume. Its easier to hear approaching cars durring the winter since they make a crushing noise.
Yup. No headphones period. Earphones on one ear without the music playing too loud so you can stay aware of your surroundings
@00:57 He saw the car, he didn't have to hear it.
@@Shadow__133 All of the senses acting together give a faster response than just one.

Situational awareness is KEY!!!
Ashlee, its the reason i keep telling people to not carry them noise cancelling headphones. that right there is insane
That's why always be vigilant and observant on your surroundings, the reflex is amazing!!
any other person would be on thier phone and not nowing what is happening!
@ Most of the people got accident because of that, be always presence of mind. 👍🏼
His poor heart must be racing out of control after that.
Trust me I don't think he's poor at all...
The speed of that car was insane. That guy needs to buy a lottery ticket immediately.
It was so cute the way his reenactment was completely inaccurate, and was not at all what he did in the moment.

I was thinking the same thing 😂 so adorable.
Lol it was very adorable
@@CranberryFo totally! ☺
Because it shows he didn't think in the moment , just moved .. so he can't even remember what he did
God bless this man.
that man moves quick for a 64 year old
Well, not all of us in our 60's and 70's have one foot in the grave!
Wow that’s some final destination stuff right there.
That's exactly what I thought too. 😳
Imagine if he was checking his phone at the time.
"hm.. from an-" *dead*
Good thing tiktok is getting banned
Gen Z would’ve been dead 😅
He was meant to survive that.
Bros Luck was crazy🥶
an unexpected example of how beneficial physical workout can be!
Hes definitely fast ❤ The work outs definitely working
God bless that man!
This whole situation was a close call miracle. Nobody was in the wrong. Both the driver and guy almost died, but ended up ok. Crazy.
WOW!! glad he is safe
That driver should be charged this is ridiculous
Just say you didn't watch the full video
@@calvinjohn26I didn’t so it’s sad hopefully he’s better too. I live in Cali you should see the drivers out here.
Bro must buy a lottery ticket immediately
Bro ...nicely done. If he were on his phone he wouldnt be telling us his story
So lucky🙏

Being aware of your surroundings can save your life or someone else's ❤
He didn’t do all that twisting and turning now but the fact he got out the way is impressive
Im glad hes okay. Hes a really healthy man
You can only thank God
Pure luck!
Damn he is the world's luckiest man alive of the year I was crazy to see that.
he da quickest
Amen 🙏🏽 God is Good All the time
He was lucky to move in a split sec, if he didn’t move out of the way, he would’ve met his fate. He is lucky to still be alive

Very lucky chap 🇬🇧
Unbelievable.
He moved in the wrong direction making is more of a close call.
The point is, he moved.
No, the car was Drifting.
And you cant know where the car is going 💀 0:10
Good thing he was well aware of his surroundings, it could have ended badly for him. This man is lucky.
😮💨😌What a close shave.
Some people refuse to look where they're going.

He was almost toast 😳
Glory to GOD!!!!!
Driver should lose his license forever.
That can happen 2 any person behind the wheels
You cant dlways predict when you gonna get sick
So having any medical emergency that causes a driver to temporarily lose control of their vehicle is grounds for never allowing them to drive again?
If he had kept going in the same direction, it would have still missed him.
yeah but he cant calculate that when it''s coming in at a curve from a distance
to be fair the car was curving around, at first sight it appears to head straight toward him
He can win the power ball lottery.
Medical emergency? He had to have been going at least 80mph, although I guess his foot could have been stuck on the accelerator.
I doubt he started going 80 in a neighborhood and then so happened to have a medical emergency lol. Definitely just a stuck foot on the accelerator.
Dude was actually running into the path of the car.
He would have been directly in the middle so he could have gone either way, the trajectory of the car was heading hard right but it may have looked like it was coming straight on in the beginning.
Glad their both ok
If he was of just one generation before his, he would be staring at his phone screed and then using the "go to heaven" app.
That is why i don't wear noise canceling headphones when i am walking out on the street.
1 second later and it wouldnve been on liveleak
nah that woulda been BAD like ode
he had a faster reaction cause he wasn't distracted by a celluar phone which allowed him to pay better attention to his surroundings.
A very lucky guy
How did you know you were in danger- reporter
Well it was the car speeding towards me-man
So is the driver still on the hook for the damages they caused? What if they had actually killed someone? Cuz I mean, medical emergency or not, they still caused all that damage
He can move so good for his age. Kudos to him. Hope the driver recovers too
This is what I call “training daily for the most important day of your life”
Now I just hope his wife was wearing her seatbelt.
damnn somebody get this man to the Olympics
LOL, yes!!
Wow, amazing reaction time. Many people would have froze in that situation.
Bro was a second from dying and she’s talking like it was a silly mishap
Jesus is real 🙏
The way he was walking you could see he was doing that excersise
Love this guy
Of course it’s California 🤦
That man was inches away from me seeing this video in a different website.
Passed the quicktime event
Survival of the fittest. 🎖🏆🏅.
Why did he run that way
That is why i don't wear noise canceling headphones when i am walking out on the street.
Damn that really is lucky
That was close!
Lucky old man
Bro's speed.
Damn wild to think he was inches away from possibly getting killed.
If he kept walking it wouldn't have touched him
Exactly. The fact he turned around and ran almost caused him to get hit. Not that he could have predicted which way the car was heading.
Fear will make u move faster than you ever have.
Ok but can we talk about that really nice Corolla wagon
Situational awareness, something that few have this day and age.
Now that is really shocking
See to those hating fit people who go to the gym, jokes on you we'll be able to survive the apocalypse!
Who is hating on fit people? You’re fighting ghosts
Wow so lucky 😮
"How did you know you were in danger?"... that is a question.
Had it been someone with a headset on, the ending would have been different.
That was insanely a close call.
Cars go where the driver tells it to go. I always see stories about out of control cars, not out of control drivers.
Woah!!!!! 😳😳😳
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 wooow this is insane. He was lucky
OG got spidey sense
64?😅
This man aced the quick time event
This is why you don't want to be staring at a screen when you're out walking.
Lucky doesn’t even start to explain it. At that speed of escaping death at 60 years, he has 60 more years to live
I got adrenaline watching this video, nice reflexes!
Mission impossible
Now this is what you called one lucky guy.
It was God who saved him.
Fitness is key as we get older
Good job
0:30 The reporter must be a “Ace Ventura” fan 😂
Of course he's a 49er fan. Give him the football. Step aside, CMC
Had he not avoided, he would been already buried ten feet underground.
The older a person gets, the more they pay attention to their surroundings. Sometimes, it's hard to do in a world full of distractions.
