Summary for anyone looking for one: 1. Use long M6 screws for the feet and the end brackets. Use short M6 screws for everything else on the frame. 2. Connect the legs to the frames with short screws. Kinda goes without saying, but the motor house of the frame should point to the center of the desk. The flat bars of the frame should be oriented so that they’ll be touching the bottom of the desk. 3. Connect the end brackets using long screws. 4. Connect the feet using long screws. 5. Connect the frame to the desk, add the paddle. 6. Manage wires.
Just assembled my Pro Max this past weekend. Was quite nervous about the installation, but it ended up being so easy (thanks to Chris' TH-cam video). The most fiddly part was to install the inner screws with the Allen key through the end bracket weldment. The new design completely eliminates that process! Even without a power drill, I figure I could install a Pro Max in under 30 mins, now that I know how to do it. Would highly recommend a slim ratcheting socket for installation of the cross beam & leg brackets on the Pro Max.
I just assembled my base. Overall very happy with the parts. I do not have a table for assembly, but still pretty easy. Completed in are 35 minutes by hand with mistakes. Few lessons learned, because I am an idiot and grabbed the first thing in front of me... make sure the bracket to screw the desk into is facing the right way, had 1 upside down. Also, install the side bracket before the feet. I couldn't quite get the screw to align when I did foot first.
More of a challenge to see how fast you can assemble the legs than an installation video. Considering the desk doesn’t come with assembly instructions, I’d love a more detailed guide.
@@Deskhaus I found the assembly guide, but I'm still a little confused. I'm trying to put together an Apex Pro with your HPL wood top. I'm trying to fasted the frame to the top using the ST5*20 wood screws provided, but they aren't long enough to go through the holes in the frame and also catch the threading in the wood top. Am I missing something?
I feel like the potential for a detailed video tutorial on how to install the Apex Pro for regular consumers who have *not* put this together more than once was overshadowed by the "fastest possible install time any% world record pace apex pro install"
If you could include a magnetic hex bit instead of two hex keys, that would speed it up a notch. Found a non-mag hex key that is almost the same size. It is working.
hmmm, I'm at the part where you connect the desk to the frame, and the screws don't seem to fit, is there a updated manual anywhere? nothing came with the boxes...
Hi! Can you please tell me the boxes’ dimensions for this apex pro (and weights if possible although I gues total would be around 60 kg)? I’d like to ship it to Europe (pre-sending it to a USA address first of course as there’s no eportation option on your web) but freight forwarder is asking about this exact info before I can buy it so they can confirm space for and LCL. Also, is there any extra screw, key or anything needed for the assembly or everything needed comes withing the boxes? Thanks in advance!
How many mounting holes for the desk surface are there? I've built a large desk top and looking at this base but plan to use threaded inserts in the bottom of the table and hex bolts to mount the base to the table and need to know how many inserts/bolts I need.
Not an installation video more of a speed run challenge.. Not very informative.. As soon as he said "Lets see if you can beat my time" I started searching for another video.
Seems rather defensive. Must be used to defending this shotty excuse for a walkthrough. Not everyone builds these things for a living. I'll be sure to show my boss this conversation so we can go elsewhere for future office purchases. Theres multiple comments implying the same thing i was. Go make an ass of yourself on those as well.

@@mike35424 you purchased a laminate top with threaded inserts. So use the provided machine screws that come in the separate baggy
@@Deskhaus you rock , thank you! I didn’t realize there was another box with a different set of screws.
My order for apex pro is missing the screws, hex and cable ties. Cant get those dimension screws at home Depot either.
You really should make a version with collapsible crossmembers for precise length and make it truly customizable.

Found dimensions on the web sorry!
@deskhaus what are those ST5 16 screws for? I'm trying to put the top, and I have 4 of them. Are those for the control system box?
Control box. Not every screw is need. Also fyi. Check the resource page of the apex pro.
I thought the weldments were way better than the 4 screws on the brackets 1:18??? Why the change?
Oh, I think those weldments are more important on the 2 leg designs.

@@bwubrian 14 I believe. 3 across each end piece and then 4 on each side between the rails that slide to extend the base wider or narrower.

Will there be any other colors soon?
When is the orange Apex Pro going on sale? I need some colour in my life!
We do it right now through bespoke. Just takes about 3 weeks
