I’m definitely looking back at this video when its time to setup my apex 😂. This is the type of content I look for especially when I’m looking for upgrades
Hey CJ. When you rinse the Hanna viles it is best to just throw the water away and not return it to the tank as there may still be chemical residue in them. Cheers!
@@CJSAQUARIUMS I lost my tank In power outage when i was out of town, i wish that doesn’t happen to any one , after that i make search for backup battery for PC some says it work only for the return pump. Any way am sure you will figure it out and find something.
Another great video CJ. For the "skimmer in the skimmer, heater in the heater" comment, on the old EB8's, only 4 and 8 were mechanical relays. The other 6 were electronic and controlled by a Triac. The triac's don't do good with low or high power draw and they like to fail closed keeping the outlet on. This is great for everything except a heater without a secondary controller. Just happened to me on my 90. For the EB832's, they are ALL mechanical relays so all outlets are the same. Doesn't matter what you put where, but I do highly suggest a standalone controller for the heater then use the Apex as a secondary backup. Keep up the great videos! Way more professional than mine LOL. Edit: You do have a secondary heater controller, Nice! That's what I get for commenting before watching the entire video LOL 100th LIke! 👍
Appreciate the extra feedback I couldn’t remember about the outlets I knew it was relay related haha. But yes Helios controller is primary. Apex set as backup that Helios heater is the best thing smoking right now 💪🏾💯💯
What’s the strength of your return pump? On my ATO with return 10x water volume I’ve noticed that when ato fills the fresh water back chain bees salinity takes quite long to equalise, which might effect apex probe results
Pushing around 1300 gph to my display I’m not reading salinity wit the apex and by time water hits those probes it’s been recirculated thru the display and algae scrubber multiple times.
It appears that you are very invested in your hobby. in a 24-hour time frame How much do you think it cost in electricity for you to run your complete setup?
hey cj quick question. looking to put the apex on my new reef setup. how does the energy bar due with plug space. have a few plugs that take up some space
So far so good! Thanks for watching everyone. We have ALOT to catch up on.. be sure to subscribe 💪🏾💯
Dayummm, I didn’t know there was this much control with the apex!!
Great video!!
There’s way more bro this was a high level overview .. definitely pretty dope if you into the technology side of the hobby
Love your content, looking forward for more updates on the tank .

This was a high level overview. If requested I can break it down more specific but those videos tend to be very technical and boring to most 💯
Excellent video. I look forward to more.
Great video CJ , some great options on the apex, not sure I’d run a big tank without one now , even just for the remote access .

CJ...great video... The APEX is also cool with Alexa if you have Alexa as well..
Apex is definitely the way to go👍🏻
Awesome setup very neat, do you think about back up power battery ? in case of power outage
I need a solution. For now batt power air pumps or connecting to my cars power outlet via extension cord

Have to let it run a full month to calculate that… my guess prob $40/50 a month maximum
@@CJSAQUARIUMS $1.50 per day in not bad at all.

Vertical plugs are fine but any horizontal you will need to place on the outside outlets and rename them to whatever device you need it to be.
Has Bulk Reef Supply contacted you yet on sponsorship you make better informative videos than you know
good info - maybe someone i will bite the bullet and get apex ; for now by hand
Just sharing my uses for it.. definitely nice to have a partner in crime watching the tank 💪🏾
7.5 ph is way to low.
