Hey everyone! Here is a list of Steam workshop links and time stamps for the creations shown in this video. Thanks everyone! RF2 Starter Miner by Ott_EST not QTT_EST :D But I forgive you. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Spanj has been a great influence on my builds in general when it comes to detailing. Glad to see it has rubbed off. You can turn off the yellow hazard lights with the signal Drilling Mode from the P menu. It retracts the drills and turns off the hazard lights. Though it will have the red and green lights on respective sides that blink more slowly.
Thanks for the review. The Kingdom Galaxy is designed to be a mining, construction, salvage and shipping CV. It actually has 6 X 640k containers in order to be able to carry 12 large shipments at a time for trade/shipping runs. No need to change over the multi-turret, there is room on the front of the shield cowling for 10 mining lasers. There is a door in each storage pod to allow access to upgrade spaces inside. The other thing I use it for is collecting voidium. It has a ton of lifting power and storage to carry the voidium and exiting the cockpit through the top hatch and standing on the glass on top of the cockpit extends pressure and temperature protection while you drill the voidium.
Wow, cheers for adding 'my' ship (CheesyWamBam). Credit really to not only yourself for an amazing ship but also Ranogan as he did the initial modification with the thruster nacelles. I actually did a different version with a better internal layout. Dedicated place for the fusion reactor etc. also the cargo containers are correctly labelled in the newer version 🤣🤣
Ps. Updated the ship now. Spotted a few missing textures in the vid and removed the old LCDs and replaced them with LCDs I've robbed from your Poseidon 😁
The resource dump is great for some mutli-player servers like HWS (Homeworld Server) where they do full wipes every 3-4 months for server maintenance but allows you store all your material. This Blueprint would allow to quickly store everything in preparedness for the wipe.
to my author bretherin the long range radar and the deco "radar dish" should be flipped on the first creation. that would make the radar the furthest to the left and therefore make it first on your ships toolbar. no popping shots when ya meant to scan ur radar :P remember the further to the left the more to the left on the toolbar. so if the radars gunna be offset anyways (sometimes it needs to be centered and i understand that) might as well be on the left :D
With all cores installed, including auxiliary, she can have all shield parts, 6 antimatter thrusters, 2 plasma thrusters, fusion reactor, 2 triple railguns, a triple laser, 12 medium turrets and 8 light turrets. Throw in all the usual stuff (constructors etc) and she'll be 5k short of the 1.414mill CPU. Obvs that loadout can be different it's just an example. Not as much fun with the new CPU values like but she can still pack a punch.
Can anybody tell me if you can dock a CV to a mothership CV and then use the mothership CV to transport the secondary CV? I thought I have seen somebody do this but maybe it was an SV and not a CV cause I have tried it but my battleship CV either becomes a wall or it undocks battleship CV.
You can dock a CV to another CV and then fly it around. However, if the docked CV has a docked CV, SV, or HV docked to it, it will not dock to the other CV. So basically a CV with nothing docked to it can dock to another CV and be moved by it. But if anything is docked to the CV you are trying to dock, it will not dock. I hope that helps and thanks again!
I am very temped to just record a single partial play thru next week. Well, I will also try to stream for the first time. Not sure how that will work out quite yet, but I definitely want to play the game and see how everything works out. lol. And thanks again!
Why do you hid your UI when doing this. Why not keep your UI up and have the Multi tool out so we can see the tooltip of what your pointing at? Also that starter Miner looks like it would FAIL the wings would get you stuck in the holes with them being wider then the drills.
I generally like to try and have to UI off to reduce screen clutter when I am just looking at creations but will turn it on here and there to view a part with a multi-tool. As of miners, you are correct on miners that are meant to bore into a deposit. There is around a 3 block area around the drill that a miner can fit thru. Also some miners with wing extensions and generally laser drills may never need to bore in. It would depend on the build. But I do agree, generally speaking you should have miners thin and not going beyond the drill radius much at all to avoid getting stuck in mining holes. And thanks again!
Isn't the creator stated in the bp though? I mean it's one thing if you ask the creator and they are cool with it, it's another to claim originality when it's just a modification. That's why I don't publish all the modified ships I have even if it's just updating it. I updated Jeff's Bago for RE1 and passed it back off to him to publish if it was up to his liking.
It was. The original ship and author was listed on the workshop BP. All good either way. I don't really care that much but would always recommend listing the original ship etc if releasing a modded version. And thanks again!
@@DRoantree I believe the first one, the Asteria Destroyer-RE2 build. It was a very old creation I made some 6 ish years ago. Cool to see it get updated to RE2. Also the author did list the original BP etc. So It was fun to look at for me. :) And thanks again!
@@DRoantree This wasn't about the Asteria, Powermonkey's RE2 salvager. Granted, it's a refit of his RE1 salvager which he did provide credit for. I understand that we as authors really don't have any rights at all once something is on Steam but I make sure to at least provide acknowledgement and credit whenever I might modify something or use a significant idea and when testers help out. That's just me...

Thank you for the video.
The Asteria looks like a great ship for those who want to play with all restrictions on.

@@jeffrandall2813 - Thanks! Appreciate the tip, that makes sense as I had a HV inside my battleship CV at the time.

Man, I wish that when someone "borrows" your build and repaints it, they could at least give you credit for it...
