1.5 dci is a masterpiece
With a diesel engine.
As a utility vehicle to get from point A to B. It's excellent
what about engine? is it punchy like berlingo and partner or weaker?
You should do real world range tests of the electric vans (with a reasonable and repeatable payload), to see what real world range actually really is likely to be. Just regurgitating 'claimed' figures by the manufacturer is not that informative. If possible do a 'side by side' test of a number of similar vans (aka like what car wow do for cars).
Tom here: It's like you've been reading our 2023 plan! Yep, I'm totally on board with this. Thanks for the support. However, I do see value in quoting claimed (usually tested) ranges/mpgs for comparison purposes.
If the combo e is anything to go by you won't get anywhere near the claimed mileage especially if you're using it in January like I was. Turn the heater on and watch the range plummet. I had range anxiety the whole time I had it on trial. I could get a call and have to travel 200 miles regularly and straight away if be screwed. Forced into stopping on the way there for a top up charge and even worse having to stop on the way back too. I'm not ready for that yet
Looks nice will be popular as usual.. good mpg for its size
Tom here: I agree - it's already scooping awards, it's a reliable platform, good power units, nice loadspace... I think they've pitched it right.
@@vanaramauk these van will make a nice day van when converted
Who's the bright spark that deprived the variety of a front row bench?
Tom here - a bench seat is always nice, but in a van that small a third seat ends up causing unnecessary knee fondling when the driver goes for the gear stick.
Be interesting if you review the new Mercedes citan that's based on this Kangoo and see if it's worth the premium..
Tom here: I can't wait to get the Nissan Townstar and Mercedes-Benz Citan in. I think the Merc has a real challenge on its hands to be premium - not because the Kangoo is basic, but because the price difference has to be justifiable in platform sharers. I think VW will find this too when the Transporter and Transit Custom are released.
@@vanaramauk The Citan has a challenge to compete with the Stellantis group of vans and even the Kangoo. Especially since the latest Kangoo looks decently equipped with a neat dashboard. These vans need to have durable hard working interiors not fancy soft touch plastic that will probably wear faster and cause more hassle.
Hello thanks for the video. Just one question, is it better than Citroen birlingo?
Berlingo is electric only. Pathetic
Will you be reviewing the new Ford Transit Custom 2023 model and Ford E Transit Custom 2023?
Tom here - 100% we will. In fact, I can do one better and confirm we have a NEW Ford Ranger coming in over the next couple of weeks too.
Where is Mark?😅
Tom here - He's outside standing next to a Peugeot in the wind trying not to get blown over. Also, Mark does cars, I do vans. We've got a system.
Still no engine upgrades.
good to see homeless getting some work
From one Tom to another, thanks for that. I mean, that's just insulting my choice of clothes AND beard. What did you think of the van?
@@vanaramauk it's a Renault which means it's made out of monster cans which will dent when you blow at it. The quality will be poor as bits will have been forgotten to be fitted in manufacture. So as you can imagine I have been a Renault owner in the past, not again.
Tom here: It did just win 'Small Van of the Year' at the What Car? Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards... and I can attest that the build quality is a marked improvement on the previous Kangoo. I'd say it's worth poking your head in one if you get the chance.
@@vanaramauk Kudos for keeping the comments professional
Poop
Terrible design.
Er, why?
