Thank you. Just be careful with the seals. And make sure all holes are clean. Even the slightest cut or air leak can cause the engine to run bad. Check each seal close before installing because today's parts don't have very good quality checking. Many times at my job we get bad brand new parts

Just came across it while looking up some ways to add a little extra pep & reliability to our trail rigs….one thing I figured I would mention is you can get the injectors out if you have to without popping off the fuel line….we’ve had some single hole stock injectors fail trail side over the years so while not ideal you can do it
I'd recommend staying away from no name ones from Amazon. I've seen those fail. My eBay ones have been good. I've been told dodge neon ones fit but I don't know for sure. If you search eBay check reviews and warranties.
Hey, awesome video! Hopefully you can answer this ? I have a 93' Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I6 4.0 and needing the correct fuel pressure rating at the rail. Went to different suppliers for an upgraded 4 port injectors and all were different fuel pressure ratings! Also I would like to get the Bosch brand (new or rebuilt) and not a knockoff ! If you could help it would be greatly appreciated. PS: No one else has helped me in this manner. Thx much.

Nicely done video BF ... but, yea, maybe loose the music .... although there are lots of 4 hole after market FI's, most people recommend the getting the quality Bosch 4 hole rebuilds at around $60 on ebay or amazon ... rumors are the cheaper chinese ones fail quickly ... also liked you stressing cleaning FI ports and gas connector (and purging the air out of the rail before you reinstall) no sense in risking clogging a new injector ... as for performance, having driven 2 cherokees with 4.0's for 600k miles in 40 years, the 4.0 will never get great MPG, but I love that cast iron 1940's AMC design ... and any MPH increase helps ... smoother idle, better throttle response is nice .... after testing throttle response while driving, remember it takes a while for the computer to adjust and learn to the new FI's ... MPG will most likely improve after it resets over a few hundred miles
They are not the same company. But both 4 hole injectors. At least I'm pretty sure. Sometimes Amazon sellers change things. I have them in my 2001, my daughters 1999 and my friend just put them in his 2000. All running well. The biggest difference was throttle response. Mpg went up maybe .5 mpg. Haven't had it on the highway for long distance yet to see a real change in mpg. But idle and throttle response is better.
Is there any thing u have to do to the ecm some say to unhook the battery and put the to leads to gether for a minute I don't know just seeing if u heard anything about that
I did not do that. I've installed three sets of these and three separate Cherokee 4.0. None of them have had any issues. The only thing I've noticed is a little bit quicker throttle response.

I use 4 - 6 oz. of MMO at each fill up and so far this 145k mile 4.0 TJ is running good, with a smooth idle most of the time. TJ gurus like Jerry Bransford say stick with oem 1hole injectors. Maybe I will and continue using MMO.
Will this help fix gas in the oil? I have an 03 and the oil smells a bit like gas. The oil levels are fine, runs, and idles fine, no codes. Thanks for the help.
If you can pull the spark plugs and look into a cylinders with a camera after the engine has sat for a while (over night) you should be able to see if gas is leaking out of an injector into the cyl. If it is it can run past the piston rings into the fuel. Does it take a little longer to start?

Be gentle, take your time. Double check everything before turning on the key to prime it. And 1 thing I may have forgotten, can't remember, disconnect the battery and be careful of static electric. A small fan a little distance away blowing gentle air around you can help dissipate the vapors.

Plus l don't won't to be a nuisance to anybody that might be sensitive to that type of thing (It was pretty strong that time I had to drop the fuel tank; just wondering)...🙄🤔🤨. Might have to take it somewhere more open; maybe🏞️...?
Hi there any ideas did upgrade due to a misfire and several injector errors fixed 2 but p002 code keeps popping up. swaped twice now for a new one still p002. Help!
@@mrscano76 I could not find that code in any system. I think you are missing a #. Are you sure all the injector o rings seated well? The holes and everything was clean when installing? If you can get me another code I may be able to help more.
I'm guessing you are talking about fuel mileage. The better injectors can help with fuel efficiency but jeeps are poor on fuel mileage. I get about 13-15 mpg.

Well the o rings are silicone, so it doesn’t really matter what you use as long as youLube a little bit

We learn from our mistakes. I've had my share of fuel, oils and greases all over me. Never a good way to start a job.

No. They are stock psi, just have a more fuel efficient spray pattern

I got mine from Ebay but can also be found on Amazon. There is a noticable difference. Engine runs smoother and has a quicker throttle response.

@@BigFrogs4x4 No it starts up normal. They're the stock injectors so it wouldn't hurt to replace them anyways. I just hit 160k.
It sounds like you may have an injector slowly leaking into a cyl. But had to tell over the internet. Lol

@@SadbutTrue84 once you release the pressure with a rag move the rag outside or seal it in a coffee can or spaghetti jar. That should help.
Was this a direct swap? Did you have to advance timing or do any tuning?
Nope direct swap. It's the same fuel pressure just a more spread finer mist for a better burn
