Unequivocally the best, unbiased analysis of one of the most polarizing figures in modern sports. I remember wanting to mimic his every move (even with the ladies, lol). His fall from grace was disheartening, but to see him still above ground, operating at his best is still awe inspiring. The Answer for the eternal question, who's the greatest assassin pound for pound ever to play
At that time he WAS basketball .. even here in europe.. For kids my age he was our Jordan, our Magic, Our Dr.J ..When playing pick-up, everytime you scored you were AI, no one else mattered.. He was Basketball..
This is real content. I am a young sports fan and all I want to find is actual basketball analysis, and I haven’t found a better resource than this. You actually talk about the basketball, and the analysis is thorough but it never feels like a lecture which is such a difficult balance. Objective and detailed content feels so rare this Chanel is such a gem, and I am so glad to see your success grow; Chanels like this deserve it.
Heart over height! I remember everyone in my school wanted to be AI and emulated his crossover. He's definitely an icon and has influenced the game a lot from the cornrows, tattoos, and vocal love for hip hop. Make sure to check out the Iverson documentary on Netflix!
At the time of viewing this: more than 10% of viewers gave it a thumbs up, and there are 0 dislikes. If that’s not confirmation that you’re making the highest quality basketball content on TH-cam, I’m not sure what is. Great work as always.
Best NBA TH-camr around, and it's not even close. I know you've already done one video about Dirk Nowitzki but damn do I hope you come out with one of these style videos for him!
My ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!! Definitely inspired me to wanna be unstoppable on the court, AI biggest fault was he didn't play a "small guy" style, he was an undersized SG and being 5'11 actually, that was his biggest issue as far as his game but he was still an awesome player regardless and inspired an entire generation, TRULY a transcendent player
You can tell that this was made by a fan of Iverson, but one that is very realistic and honest about the players he appreciates. This video is fantastic!
That line about AI being proud to be a young black man and being a trendsetter really hit the spot. I had the jersey, tried to wear similar gear, tried to ball like him, I even grew my hair out so my mom could put in cornrows (shit hurt too much). I appreciate your understanding of what it is to be black and the culture and why Allen was the way he was. Amazing content im glad I subscribed.
My man, you have no idea how many times I've watched this video. I keep coming back to it for some reason. One obviously because I'm a massive AI fan. But two, just to appreciate how perfect your execution in this edit is. Your calm, soothing voice, your painstakingly accurate analysis and your neutral position in the face of one the most alluring and brightest stars in the history of the game; all juxtaposed perfectly with some of the best Allen Iverson footage I've ever seen - Just pure amazing high quality content. Hope to see you do more deep dives on other greats from the past. Keep up the awesome work. Big love from Dubai. :)
"Iverson's offense was like lightning finding the ground... He would find a path and he would find it quickly." - Hands down THE best analogy for AI's playing style.
Great Video, It's funny how his most efficient years were in denver well past his prime. I guess he matured. I still can see that one legged leaner off contact in the paint. So many times he hit that shot
one of the best nba content channel on youtube hope to see more content like these love the graphics, love the breakdown, love the presentation kids need to stop watchin espn and watch this !
Thanks for the like! When you get your first podcast please reach out, jammas@udel.edu. I would kill to talk basketball with you! Or Fuck that, just reach out I would love to help in anyway I could.
Allen Iverson was a man's man and my first favorite player ever growing up(tho Ben Wallace was a very close 2nd). His confidence just oozed thru the tv and filled me with it making me believe I could be like Allen(I couldn't) And honestly, that was one of the best breakdowns I've ever seen for AI vs Jordan. It's hard to grasp why that crossover worked every single time but you spelled it out perfectly. Thank you so much for the quality content on this channel. Hope you make it big. And if you want some brownie points from me, make a Ben Wallace deep dive and what made him a 4 time DPOY with at least a minute talking about that glorious afro.
I don’t really ever subscribe to people but I’ve been watching since 2k and finally realized I have to see all these vids. They’re just too well made. Major Props
Thank you for what you do. This was a great breakdown for a player who many of the guys that I went to school with loved. Iverson was a guy who would test himself against anyone and frequently came out on top. It was sad when his career take a nosedive because AI was a supernova in his prime. This was not an easy breakdown , and I admire you for your concise analysis. Where many have taken an hour or longer and are incredibly boring, you bring just enough context for clarity. You have my subscription.
I am so happy I have found this channel, you discuss points and situations that I’ve always wanted to understand about AI. The music, your way of talking, such an awesome channel, new subscriber!
Its a bit unfair to say he didnt take conditioning and weight training seriously. he never bulked up, but was consistently the best conditioned nba player, even through most of his later years. he lead the league in minutes, and considering his style of play, that certainly required a lot of fitness. i vaguely remember he ran an extremely fast mile through the later years of his career as well. i imagine being at the top of conditioning among a league of athletic freaks takes a lot of dedication.
Dude these videos are outstanding and brilliantly done. However if you want the views to sliding in you should try click baiting more, I think you would skyrocket.
AI did publicly state that he trained. Saying (and I’m paraphrasing here) “ No one wins MVP without practicing”. Ik most ppl knew that but still everyone who watched him knows he could have been a top 10 player of all time if he cared more. Great video I think a series of these would get lots of views.
That was so good. Please do another deep dive on someone like Charles Barkley - another larger than life personality, who had an incredible NBA career, but could never reach the pinnacle and capture the elusive Larry O'Brien trophy.
500 likes and 0 dislikes...that is insane! Also I was wondering is this channel owned by a sports company or is it just you making the videos? Because these are the most well edited and produced basketball videos i've seen on youtube
If you do something like this on Derrick Rose it’d be great, idk if your looking to do these on players who are retired or not but D Rose analysis would be great
great content man 💯 The networks are gonna be coming to snatch you up any minute now... Just promise us subscribers that you'll not let this channel dry up & die when Disney offers you the bag 😉
great video..him and kobe were like gods to me..i remember wearing headbands as a kid cause of him+ we made fake sleeves cuz u couldnt buy one at that time (btw. i'm croatian which tells you how global he was back then)
The Dime Drop can u do ones on Penny Hardaway, Shawn Kemp, or one on why MJ is considered the goat? I can try to help write because I know these vids must take a lot of work. The writing on your vids reflect a lot of time & effort.
Interesting to note, had the commentary gone on to include his entire career, most of the claims made in this vid would be null and void. But maybe that was the point? Hindsight is 20/20, and being able to create the type of all-time career like AI did, despite societal setbacks, not to mention league integrity issues, is nothing short of amazing. How is this a deep dive, when an entire second half of his career is missing from the content? Of course, those not aware will praise this, but an actual connection to the culture will ask questions. Iverson deserves to have his entire story told. Truthfully. Still dropped a like for the effort, and quality though.
@@thedimedrop8153 😂Gotta admit, that last line was hilarious. Really didn't mean anything by it but basketball, but room was left open for multiple interpretation. While not really saying per say anything was "wildly wrong", had a true "deep dive" gone further, we would have saw you go into the natural improvements that were at the very least attempted, and that his time in Denver, to the progression, does do some justice. His exit from the league, while giving your points another look, probably deserves another vid by itself alone. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, as my comment, and like was sincere. It will just continue to be an all-time frustrating thing that AI, as much of a positive influence, and megastar he was, will also always go down as someone who was "difficult to deal with", or "polarizing", while others with these very same traits are billionaires, and Fortune 500 execs. Appreciate the reply, and much success to ya.

This is how to fill the NBA off-season void! Nicely done sir!
Such a great breakdown of an iconic player. You have really hit the nail on the head with this one.
Heart over height! I remember everyone in my school wanted to be AI and emulated his crossover. He's definitely an icon and has influenced the game a lot from the cornrows, tattoos, and vocal love for hip hop. Make sure to check out the Iverson documentary on Netflix!
Hey man, if you like the glove I think you might like my page!

Kirby F…
I get emotional whenever I watch an analysis of the unbreakable game and spirit of Allen Iverson aka the Answer 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
Hey man, this analysis is legit as hell. Could you do a video on the legacy of Carmelo Anthony?
Dflow Hoops melo’s legacy isn’t yet made bc a ring in houston would somewhat change his legacy
What legacy?
Taco Lover This comment didn’t age very well.
Лiл Заглянути yeah lol. safe to say his legacy is fully set now. not one of my better predictions
I don't think I've ever seen a video with 400 likes and ZERO dislikes. So... congrats and keep kicking ass
This is the most entertaining, most informative basketball channel anywhere. Crazy good and absolutely blowing up!
Please keep doing more of these old school deep dives this is some next level ball content 🔥
"You'd ask them what it was for, but we all knew the answer" intentional pun???
"controversial character" the right word. Man you do your homework well. That's why I always keep an eye for your videos!!
"A bengal tiger born in a body of a lynx" that was fucking awesome.
Holy shit this is incredible. I hope this turns into a serious series, I loved it. Keep it up man, you’re fantastic at what you do
Best NBA TH-camr around, and it's not even close. I know you've already done one video about Dirk Nowitzki but damn do I hope you come out with one of these style videos for him!
MicroMacro that would be amazing
My ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!! And not working out etc...
You can tell that this was made by a fan of Iverson, but one that is very realistic and honest about the players he appreciates. This video is fantastic!
fantastic video as always my brother

This video is awesome. Perfectly describes Iverson without overselling or underselling his game.
This video is absolutely amazing, inspires me to make my own content better! Keep it up dude.
Great Video, It's funny how his most efficient years were in denver well past his prime. I guess he matured. I still can see that one legged leaner off contact in the paint. So many times he hit that shot
He also was more efficient due to the elimination of hand checking in 2005-2006. But yes his maturity played a huge part too
one of the best nba content channel on youtube
hope to see more content like these
love the graphics, love the breakdown, love the presentation
kids need to stop watchin espn and watch this !
Please turn this into a series
I hope you’re sending your stuff to places like the ringer because your content is amazing. And I hope your well on your way to cashing out hopefully.

Solid Unbiased take on 'Pound for Pound' Arguably the Greatest Player the League has Seen. Earned yourself a New Sub.

The Answer!

"...you'd ask them what it was for, but we already knew the answer". Nice touch
This is such a great video. Very rarely have I enjoyed an NBA player deep dive like this. I wish you had one on Gary Payton
Dude these videos are outstanding and brilliantly done. However if you want the views to sliding in you should try click baiting more, I think you would skyrocket.
The narration is legendary👍
Sb-That Mobb Deep instrumental in the background is everything🌊.
Can you make more videos on legends of the game? Would love a detailed insight from you in video form. This was fantastic.

Most influential player in basketball imo
Entertaining but factually accurate, beautiful video
Amazing stuff. AI, one of my favorite athletes of all time.

I love your videos. I am a media production major and I hope that my work can reach the quality of yours.
I got a rash behind my ear when I was 7 because I wouldn’t stop wearing a headband thinking I was iverson
This is funny
