Le Male "Barista"
Inspired by a drink I have the Barista at Starbucks make for me: Basically it's an Iced Chai Tea with 1 & Half pumps of Raspberry syrup(tastes amazeballs-your welcome)
Top Notes: Spearmint-for garnish, Steamed Milk, Raspberry, Cold Notes
Heart: Berryflor-Givaudan, Black Tea, Anise, Cardamom, Cinnamon stick
Base: Cedar, Vanilla Bean, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean
Marc I am glad you are finding time and the means to get these ideas out on your channel. I am not sure where the motivation comes from but we do appreciate it. I support this series and I would by that bottle but in a 2.5Oz. I live in a warm country and have just under 100 bottles in the collection.

This is a really cool concept for a video series! Bravo to you oh Great Guru for attempting to keep the fragrance/video reviewing thing fresh and interesting! Basing my opinion on this new concept, I'm pretty sure that a lot of us would agree that there are a lot of fragrances out there that might need some improvement or have gotten stale and need some freshening up! One fragrance that I believe needs some flanker love is Mont Blanc Starwalker! Starwalker IS a GORGEOUS scent that I truly love, but it needs more balls up under that tutu! I mean, I spray it and it's a skin scent in less than an hour and for something that smells THIS GOOD, it's damn near blasphemous for it to be so weak in projection! Now, as far as "L'Animale" is concerned, I would definitely try it at least! I'll be honest, the only Oud based fragrance that I've ever smelled is Oud Wood by Armaf and I couldn't stand the shit! With that being said, it was also very rose forward and VERY strong! I don't know if it was blended badly or what but, YUCK! However, I am willing to give the note of Oud another chance as long as it's not paired up with rose again and this "flanker" sounds quite promising! I also really liked the "new" color scheme for the bottle and the "new" name! Well done!
I commented once already but I came back to say how great and unique and idea this is, especially with the way so many channels can start to be the same thing over and over just reheated and stirred around. Big fan of this.

Here's an idea for more flankers: take the rochas man, New Harlem approach. We've seen loads of night versions, sport versions, black tie. Would love to see your take on Morning fragrances. ie: flanker to La Nuit de L'homme = Le Matin de L'homme
Inspiration: Weekend at Bed n Breakfast You still smell the lavender under your pillow, you smell fresh brewed coffee and breakfast wafting into your room. You make your way to the breakfast nook you see an awesome array of breakfast delights, crepes, cranberry orange waffles, maple syrup, eggs, bacon, scones, bagels smoothies, OJ, coffee and the centerpiece a fresh picked bouquet of lavender, carnations, peonies. There are a plethora of sweet, fresh, citrus, floral, gourmand, and spice notes to play with in this concept.
Flankers to Bleu de Chanel
Vert de Chanel, Chanel Black, Rouge de Chanel, Essence de Chanel.
So basically what Pafums de Marley did with Layton and Layton Exclusif
Myrrh and lavender go well. Make it a dark green bottle for the cold weather.

I like this series a lot I would try it I have thr original le Male and the strong mint and oud perked up my smell senses lol I think you should do a flanker of lolita lempecka au masculin love the woody's licorice smell from they bottle
It's amazing how good you are when it comes to talking about fragrances. Even about the ones that don't exist.

Base: Agar oud accord, Patchouli, Ambrettolide, Cashmeran Musk, Dark suede, (replaced your vanilla with a nougat accord: 2parts strawberry furanone (smells like lightly burnt caramel) 3 parts isobutavan (smells like white chocolate, cream cheese icing)

Great idea and great video, Marc. Please continue doing stuff like this. For me, this would be a definite buy, even just for collecting purpose, regardless of how it actually smells. What you could do next is a flanker to Dolce & Gabanna Pour Homme as I think so far they failed to produce a solid flanker for this great classic.

If they couldn't make this work in the Le Male series, maybe they could do a exclusive line? Pricing maybe a bit higher but then your idea would probably be more realistic. Mint and vanilla should always be in their frags even if it isn't part if the le male series. Mint+Vanille+Oud...Mint+Vanille+incents or smokey accord...so many ideas. Perhaps there is someone out there that will make your idea work.

I would want to try it! I'm not usually one who cares too much about the bottle, but I agree it should represent the fragrance and you nailed it. I'm not the biggest fan of oud, but the Cardamom (La Nuit) and the vanilla, tea, leather (Midnight in Paris) would definitely appeal to me. Interesting series, I hope it catches on and leads to something new and great in the fragrance industry. Video games cater to their fan base with new releases, why not have the same interaction with your fragrance customers.
I would like you to flanker Joop because every one else will pick the same fragrances.

This is a Great Original idea as usual (I already see other reviewers doing their flankers Lol) I'd buy that flanker man for sure, great name and the notes sound the type of fragrance I love. Here is my idea, I would like a more mature version of "Le Mâle" probably called "Monsieur Le Mâle" a Barbershop type of cologne. Keep up the great work dude.
For you saying its more for the L’Male lovers. And with your bottle idea and notes. Id switch it up and make it slightly limited and only for a season, increase the quality of the notes and call it L’Edition= Limited +Edition .....

Marc, I like your ideas but I have one comment or feedback to share with you. Usually when a youtuber or for that matter any content creator comes up with an original new idea, they do it once or twice and gets forgotten for some odd excuse such as, not enough time to do it. If i was a frag reviewer and believe me i want to be, and if i had only 1K subs, i would pump out many contents, fresh and unique ideas that i have in mind and will stick to it.
I said all that to say, please DO MORE of this. Atelier month was good so maybe do Mancera week, Dior week, Chanel week, Creed week, please dont do any Tom Ford like ever. lol. what happened to that series? Steven and Carlos had a good series going on about indie-scent exposure. Pretty much the most clever name i have ever seen being applied to anything, and its been 6 months that they havent done an episode. Its such a missed opportunity. So if you are hyping us with Flankered series, please stick to it.
