Capcom was very creative with their bosses, this variation in bosses between Exodus and Magneto, reminds me of the many variations of William Birkin you fight throughout scenarios A and B in OG RE2
Really hope we see a playthrough of X-Men 2 Clone Wars on the Megadrive/Genesis. A great game co-op with one of my favourite music ideas in a game. The first levels music changes based on which character you play, and on coop you can get different music combinations with different characters.
13:45 Last year (2024) had Dark Beast with planning and Wolverine CLONES and even he knew to runaway from Wolverine, let alone keep in hiding away from others like Exodus (who was protecting Hope Summers). Even Evil Hank McCoy doesn't want that smoke.
Mentioning Dark Beast partially regenerated an old memory. I was reading an old X men rag, Beast Vs. Beast, maybe? I can't remember much except I think he inflected people with this wild virus or something using a ring to prick them? And he MAY have set a priest on fire, memories are hazy
Ted finally watching Venture Bros made his banter so much funnier xD This game is brutal and I'm loving it (watching y'all playing, I couldn't do it 😂)
This game is kind of living proof of how long it took the games industry to move away from arcade mentality and ultimately how much it benefited from it. This game is gorgeous and has enough variety for what it is, and it seems really fun to play, but the life system in it is so cheap and every single mistake seems to be punished so hard. There are times where we lust for days when all games were challenging and engaging, but I'm really glad we mostly walked away from games with traps this cheap and poorly implemented life/continues systems like these. A perfect speedrun of this game is probably 20 minutes long, but an actual run between the first and tenth of this probably takes an entire day, password system and all. In order to casually play this game you probably need more hours of memorization in it than most modern games have of content.
Unrelated to the video but related to beard bros: Is the "Eff It" tier still around? I really liked the "Story Time" and "Making each other sandwiches" videos. My fave of all time is Alex's Burger Rush; is there any intention to do those kinds of things again?
It's funny how many comments are like "This game is some BS", but Brett's having fun. Like, a hard and fun gamr is better than an easy and boring game. Many games did not benefit from life systems but I think this one works.
I think a fun old silly PC game you might like playing is called Axysnake. It's music is awesome, its character is silly, and it can get down right terryfying.
idk why but ted's, "You caught it!" really got me

I would not want to face that spinny platform boss. That would make me sick. Good on ya Brett for facing it
