That multi tool is a clone of the EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) Gerber. The spike is in fact a c4 punch and the pliers have a blasting cap crimper in the middle.

I think thats supposed to be a c4 punch. Youll probably blow up though using that tool. But youre right a spike shaped object like that is very useful
