- This is the first video in a mini series about my off-grid cabin vacation to Norway. In this film I talk about my need for leaving the buzzing digital everyday once in a while. This time it is by hiking up to a remote off-grid cabin in the mountains of Norway, where I do some fishing as well as forage and cook the wild food.
Music:
Ben Winwood: Horizon
James Rutherford: For Old Times

the calmness was infectious. What a beautiful place and video.
So happy for you that you could get away from all the distractions. Your drone footage was amazing. Made me feel more at peace as well. Loved your music too.
Thanks!! It really was a much needed vacation! Very glad you liked it😊
Lovely Anders, just lovely! I think this is your most beautiful video yet! Wow, did you and your pup find a great spot! It made me feel really good to watch this video. I like how well you treat yourself - good food and drink, beautiful scenery, exercise, fresh air, peacefulness, relaxation. More people need to allow themselves to just slow down and play and relax and savor and enjoy! 👍 well done!
Thanks!! And I really agree with you😌
I saw the stuff you were mixing in the green bowl and thought "Oh man, I really hope that's for the dog!" 😆
What a lovely peaceful place. Never been to Norway but it's beautiful.
I know there are millions of calm people out there, but it's nice to have met you
Hi there,
we actually met at the end of your trip. I am the german guy, who was going for the solo hike and I stumbled just by chance across your video and was like … I know that guy!
Great meeting you then and thanks again for the tips you gave me. I had an amazing time walking this nice landscape and very cool Videos!
Maybe we will meet again in the huts of Norway! Till then
And you have a new subscriber
Hi!! So nice to see that you returned to civilisation safely!! Glad to hear that you had a great trip in the fantastic weather. And found some good spots for your tent also!!🤞
So nice that you found my channel - and enjoy the vidoes! I release the second part of my journey today - the one from Nilsebu!😊
❤❤❤ Even your dog doesn't seem crazy for food, in the calmness of this way of life.
MUCH love.
Thank YOU.
He is! He’s just taught to wait until I say “go”😊
@@andersboisentinyhouse 😂😂😂 you are an excellent teacher, then
What a beautiful place. You have quite the best companion ever!
Indeed☺️
I sit in my office at work under the fluorescent lighting and live vicariously through your videos. :D Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us.
Looks like a beautiful place. I am so happy your dog is okay
It really is! And he says thank you😊
Real nice honestly, the calmness really getting through in the video, your cinematography skills really improving a lot, perks of getting away a bit I suppose :)
Thanks😊
I love going on this vacation with you, thank you so much for sharing it with us! ❤
You’re welcome!😊
Thank you for your videos. First I must say I do LOVE dogs. I like the fact that your dog carries a backpack ! In my country, we have pictures of the XIXth century about dogs pulling small pushcarts or tumbrels, like donkey would do for big ones !
Cute!😊However maybe a little difficult up in these mountains😅😊
Cute!! However maybe a little difficult up in these mountains😅😊
If anything, you are making your dog live his best possible life. Absolute love your friendship ❤
With his dog he is never alone ❤
The dog has it's own bag 1:24 so adorable❤
What a stark beauty there is in those mountains, with no trees. You are really enjoying Norwegian friluftsliv! Now I really have to connect with my Norwegian cousins to plan a visit and do my favourite thing, which is to hike up to the family's old setra up in the mountains. There is nothing quite like being unplugged from the world and basking in the peace and quiet of nature. What I would like while there, though, is to go kayaking on the water! I don't know if kayaking is something they do in Norway. There is something so grounding about catching some of your own food, and fetching your own water.
You can go kayaking in the Lysefjorden which is just next to the area where I was!😊👌
cet endroit est tout simplement magnifique
Wow, what an absolutely beautiful place to get away to to enjoy peace and quiet. Would love to wake up and enjoy a morning cup of coffee in this beautiful serene picturesque place!
Tak... for taking us along! Rich, upstate NY.
Amateur sugery... Wonderful, let's hope he makes a good recovery. I'm so pleased that you got a chance to be somewhere new for a while.
Birdy
Thanks☺️
So serene and beautiful....even your dog seems to enjoy the peacefulness....glad the fishhook incident wasnt serious!!!
Imagine how horrible it is for the fish.
Stay safe out there. Love the video.❤
Finally, you show meal preparation for your pal. I had planned to turn you in for neglect! Ha! My animals are fed before I even make coffee for myself. I am envious and happy for you at the same time in such a beautiful, remote setting. Enjoy!
That is a fantastic video. I was feeling quite anxious today and it deeply relaxed me to see there are ways of living at a slower pace.. and the landscapes and the music.. Thank you !
Wow, it makes me very happy to hear!! Thanks!!☺️
Beautiful landscapes, they remind me of the south of my country, Chile. Your videos are truly inspiring!
Thank you so much!! Wow, interesting! Chile is such a beautiful country!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing ♥️
Watching your videos from Texas, USA 🇺🇸
Thanks, you’re welcome!😊
Thanks! You’re welcome😊
I can see the attraction, absolutely beautiful! The scenery reminds me of the Scottish Highlands with bothys you can stay in, but they're made of stone not wood, and not nearly as comfortable!
Yeah, I really think so to😊👌
Magnificent! Wow! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Serenity ❤ lovely peace. Beautiful country. Thank you for sharing❤

sounds peaceful, blissful!
Beautiful place! 💚
Remote beauty and silent calm. The waterfall in the background must have been bliss. What an amazing adventure you had to recharge and renew.
Your life is like heaven to me..❤😍
Really lovely, thank you for taking us along with you. I am moving back home to Sweden at the end of the year after 12 years abroad, and I am really looking forward to it. Your video made me really miss Scandinavia :) I'm glad your dog is alright, what a champ!
Thanks! I am glad it had that effect!! Welcome home - soon😊
I hope i'll do this one day, it's beautiful ❤
I cross my fingers for you then🤞🤞😊And yeah, this country and it’s nature has s very special place in my heart❤️🏔️
Nice.
An impossibly gorgeous place. Whew, that was a close call with the fish hook! How in the round world are the building materials transported to that place to build the cabin and storage building? And how is the fire wood transported in?
Helicopter, I think😊
Hope you had a chance to switch off completely between all the filming. Very nice and thanks for sharing.
I did, thanks! And I also just really enjoy filming my vacations - I’ve done that since long before this channel😊And thanks, you’re welcome!😊
저곳으로 이사가고 싶어요 노르웨이 자연경관이 아름답습니다.

Firstclass restaurant and view ❤
Indeed😊👌
Anders, please could you write the name of your dog friend? I’m never quite sure if I’m hearing it right, and it’s necessary to me to know the correct name of all the players here. I’m so glad he was okay after the fishhook incident - as you said, it could have gone quite badly!! Tak for your videos, I found your channel only recently, via your assessment of your self-made home after living in it for some time. Invaluable information in that episode, and much to learn & enjoy across your channel. Kind regards to you and B from Australia. (P.S. Apologies for commenting in English, but I have no Danish 😕)
Thank you so much for the kind words!! I really appreciate it!!😊 His name is Borsimat!!
It’s curious to see that somebody who lives a simple life like you, in the countryside, like off grid, no 9-15 job etc. needs holidays to go back to calm and peace and freedom.
I really your lifestyle gives you all what you need. 🤔 Why does it not ? Why do you do t live like this days in Norway?
How much food do you usually bring when going on these trips? Meat, flour, eggs etc? :)
I understand why you ask this, but if you think hard, plan your trip, the answer will come to you
@@jameshennephof4045 It's not a problem, I'm just curious what other people do 😇
Normally just three meals per day and then two days extra for backup. But these cabins also have canned food and the like that you can buy, if you need. So you’re pretty secure foodwise up there😊👌
