Hello from TX! Your dad did a great job backing the wagon. When backing hay wagons like that, I always found it easier to hook them to the front of the tractor & push them. I could steer them much easier. I know your dad couldn't do that in your situation, but it was easier for me. I enjoy your videos, bring back a lot of memories for this old man when I was young, back in IN. God bless & stay safe!😊
Thank the Lord, we finished our corn before the hurricane. We got a total of 7.8 inches of rain and some 30 mph winds, but we are so Blessed. The folks just to the south of us in Valdosta, Douglas, Jesup, Waycross, and Blackshear really suffered some considerable damage to their timber and their pecan crops. A month later and the peanut and cotton crops would have been devastated
It may have been a optical illusion due to camera angle but I think your dad missed the rear u-joint may want to give it another look. But he sure can back a stear axled trailer. They're a pain I've backed enough haywagons to know. Great video!
When I was a kid my Uncle Grew Milo on his farm. LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, No matter how hot it get. You will thank us Later, I promise. It's not ready but it's close. I can tell you a visual tip, the redder the better. Try to keep the red heads in there and avoid a lot of the plant if you can, that will be difficult manually, but your auto height on your header might help with dips in the field. You shouldn't have an issue keeping the crop in minus the header loss, and with a draper it shouldn't be terrible. Like others have said, start with your recommended machine settings, and make adjustments from there. Just some tips I learned from my uncle back in the days of old.
With your planting population the sorghum should do good. Considering your corn yields you should be able to grow 150+ sorghum, but just like any crop it’s a learning process. One thing to remember is that sorghum takes more N per bushel to grow than corn, there is a misconception out there that it lakes less fertility. With your Draper header head loss shouldn’t be a problem, start at the recommended setting and your machine will do fine. Only take the heads in if possible
Milo don't look bad should 50 + bushel to the acre just guessing from what you showed we use rigid header with milo guards installed, regular cutter bar without the guards you will loose several heads out the front. If the heads are right (dry) it's easy cutting but the dust is really itchy.
3 cheers for Dad on backing the wagon. Go to the boat ramp if you want to see some real booboos. Thank GOD for mirrors. No rain in west central AL, yard grass would burn in a lot of places.
Awesome video again. I bet dad dusted one when the tire blew, I know I would. Glad none of y’all were hurt by the tire blowing. Give Thomas and Granny a hug for me and let ‘em know I miss them. Stay safe my friend
Hi , Daniel that sorghum or some people call it Milo!! It's looking good but not ready yet! Make sure your wearing long sleeve shirt when you are harvesting that.
We got over 8in of rain I live about 3 miles from the NC/SC state line 20 miles west of North Myrtle Beach SC! Roads were flooded at the swamps this morning!!! Corn looks good!!! Keep big red rolling!!!
Hi Daniel from England, really enjoy your videos and you do an excellent job of driving the combine and flying your drone at the same time. Very impressive
Many have pointed out the rear universal joint so ... That looks like some super clean corn in the bim from above. Hoping the rest of the harvest goes well.
Milo is a very versatile crop especially when rainfall is lower. Good years here in NC 85+ bushel crop is pretty good. The surprising benefit of milo is what the stalks and root mass after to the ground and your rotation. When we had turkey manure available we would cut and bale the stalks for the cows. Crimp the mower tight as you can to get them juicy sweet stalks drying down. Cows love it because its sweet. Good luck
I’ve seen sorghum in the field before and that looks like a good crop but you never really know until it gets to the elevator and is sold thanks for sharing
I grew up in Sorghum country...the great plains of Texas . When we started growing irrigated corn it made 160bu in 1960's the sorghum made 160. Yours could make 160. The combine settings are on the card in arm rest. You will close the pre chaffer and wheat concave. increase the rotor speed. You need milo guards to keep the heads as they are cut off.
I live in Valdosta,GA Idalia destroyed our house and cars. The family is ok no injuries. Idalia absolutely wreaked havoc on our city. Great video Daniel love the drone shots of corn 🌽 harvest! God bless!
I live on the gulf coast of Mississippi and I want to ride in a combine eventually one day in my life. Maybe we can make trade I will teach you everything about craps in the casino and you let me ride in the combine at harvest. Just like one day on the farm during harvest and ride in the tractor as you seed your fields too. Thank you
Man corn looks great. Milo I have no idea but I'm gonna say it's good. I do remember to get it in condition to harvest it will need a harvest aid. God bless you all.
I had a rattle for a long time that changed with engine RPM, sometimes you’d hear it other times you wouldn’t. Turns out my one of catalytic covers was coming apart on the inside. Replaced both of them and the rattle went away. The truck seemed to run better as well.
Does it have a 2 piece drive shaft with a steady bearing? I also watched the video and at 6:48 you can see slop in the rear universal. Sometimes 1 cap on the universal doesnt recieve grease and will cause vibration as its failing. Also that rear-end has way to much lash. Some play is normal, but not that much. Pull drain plug and make sure no filings.
In the part of the video where you show the grain sorghum what type of plants are growing to the left on the edge of the field with the yellow flowers? Thank you
Looks good to me. I run rotor at 750 for wetter milo slower for drier. Concave 15 down to 11 I do run roundbars. Veins slow. I'll have to look on fan and sieves
Good afternoon Granny! It sure looks like Triple R has the pedal down to the metal on farming right now. I'm going to call the sorghum between 70-80 bu/acre.
I think your milo looks good. Usually takes a freeze to be dry!! At least here in Kansas. Although we are so dry and hot that helps dry down.. should have no problem keeping that in combine! Use recommend settings in manual!! The less leaves you take in the better IMO!! Especially if they’re still green!!
Hope you dodged the winds, great video as always Daniel! Give Granny a hug for us when you get a chance and we’ll see ya on the next one! Your entire crew is awesome!
I've had a few good friends with those kinda trucks and they've had the same problem and they had to do work inside the gears bc they got alot of play and wear in them
Good evening Granny! May I ask why you were cutting only 2 rows? I am amazed you always find a new angle to show us. Dad is amazing. Sorghum looks good to me but what do I know.
Great photos of corn harvest thankyou. Danial and triple R farms and staff

We had a Ford NAA that we used to push wagons into the barn
@@jimbob8969 I used an old John Deere "B" tractor, with a hand clutch.
Thank the Lord, we finished our corn before the hurricane.

Great video!
I seen it to bad joint
Yes, bad u joint
The Milo looks good to me but you won't like the dust from it. It itches like crazy.Good morning Granny
Yes it does baby power Will help from being so itchy

Good morning Granny, football season is here! Roll Tide!

Also a early to med/early maturity could do fantastic as a double crop behind your wheat.
Great info thanks 👍😁
@ 21:27 I fell off my bar stool laughing!!

Sorghum looks like it will have a good yield. Using RoundUp as a harvest aid will make combining much easier.
You are extremely lucky to have such a amazing father. I'm also sure you are aware that. I truly injoy your video Daniel TY
Can’t believe all the farming is done with two tractors crazy .
3 cheers for Dad on backing the wagon. Go to the boat ramp if you want to see some real booboos. Thank GOD for mirrors. No rain in west central AL, yard grass would burn in a lot of places.
You have too be glad to see 237 bushel corn yell . Great job R@R farms.
40 years ago I used drag a short chain from the rear axle to keep the dust from sticking to everything. It keeps down the static electricity.
Thats right
Has never helped us here in Bama. Just too dang dusty
Awesome video again. I bet dad dusted one when the tire blew, I know I would. Glad none of y’all were hurt by the tire blowing. Give Thomas and Granny a hug for me and let ‘em know I miss them. Stay safe my friend
Pretty corn pickin
Hi , Daniel that sorghum or some people call it Milo!! It's looking good but not ready yet! Make sure your wearing long sleeve shirt when you are harvesting that.
It looked to me like the pinion shaft bearing had way too much movement in it.
We grew alot of grain sorghum here in Eastern North Carolina. Mainly for feed. Your grain sorghum looks decent.
that rear u join is terrible bad
We got over 8in of rain I live about 3 miles from the NC/SC state line 20 miles west of North Myrtle Beach SC! Roads were flooded at the swamps this morning!!! Corn looks good!!! Keep big red rolling!!!
Look at the video at 6:50 and you will see the drive shaft going up and down in the u-joint as it is half out.
Hi Daniel from England, really enjoy your videos and you do an excellent job of driving the combine and flying your drone at the same time. Very impressive
We need a crop tour haven’t seen the cotton all year
Good crop so far.
The sorghum, looks like a real good crop to me, Hello ,Granny how are you
Hey granny this is Tony we grow grain sorghum every year down here around clio, al and tell Daniel that looks good
Thanks for watching.
Many have pointed out the rear universal joint so ... That looks like some super clean corn in the bim from above. Hoping the rest of the harvest goes well.
You don’t cut corn, you pick corn, hehaw

Daniel we fought a noise and vibration on accelerations and the dang gear on the starter was getting into the flywheel!
I’ve seen sorghum in the field before and that looks like a good crop but you never really know until it gets to the elevator and is sold thanks for sharing

Good morning Granny. Have a great day
Thanks!
@granny8108 have a great weekend
Hello from Serbia 👍🌽🚜🍀🇷🇸
200+ Bu corn is outstanding is OUTSTANDING, and still good for the I states
I live in Valdosta,GA Idalia destroyed our house and cars. The family is ok no injuries. Idalia absolutely wreaked havoc on our city. Great video Daniel love the drone shots of corn 🌽 harvest! God bless!
You are in our prayers my friend.
My brother and sister in law live just in the edge of Brooks County on Troupeville Road and they said it was bad.
I knew with the tree canopy in that area it was going to be bad. It’s super thick in the big bend and Southern GA
Thank you
Looks like a good crop to me.
Milo Crop looks great but beware of the itchy Dust from it
As soon as you started turning the drive shaft i could see what was wrong. Its really bad..
Corn looks great this year. We are starting corn silage today in Washington state. Keep up the good harvest and stay safe.
Really glad to see harvest going so well!
milo looks great
Morning, Granny. Lvu the music 🎶 Hope everyone is doing great!!
Hello.
You need to make a setup like Dennis Ivers has to clean off his feeder house.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!
Milo looks good! Still pretty green tho
Excellent Crop we Sometimes Chop it for Silage for the Feed lots!
Good crop - thanks for sharing
G’job Daniel and Co., stay safe…always enjoy the drone footage and music you pair with it…keep em comin 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Not sure if its the camera angle but that rear U joint had ALOT of play in it. May want to take another look.
Thank you for your hard work you have a fantastic crew of men working for you and your dad 👍🏻😉🙋♂️
Man corn looks great. Milo I have no idea but I'm gonna say it's good. I do remember to get it in condition to harvest it will need a harvest aid. God bless you all.
Stay safe you guys I’ll be praying for you. Hopefully the hurricane goes around you.👍🏼😎

As usual great video Daniel.
Hope you are having a great
week Granny , TAKE CARE !!!
Great video good to see y'all
Only recently found this site. Great informative videos certainly deserve more subscribers. Ex uk farming lad
the quick harvest when there are machines as companions
Don't blame MR. D. I WOULDN'T WANT TO CHANGE THAT TEAR JOINT EITHER😂
Yes, U joint has too much slop!
Remove drive shaft and check for stiff u joint
Mr.Dan has backed up 1 or 2 cotton trailers in his day
You need to get your torque converter checked. Mine did it when you would speed up.
In the part of the video where you show the grain sorghum what type of plants are growing to the left on the edge of the field with the yellow flowers? Thank you
Not sure maybe some weeds, thanks for watching 👍😁
@TripleRFarms thank you I got them same weeds in my field and I don't know what they are. I enjoy your channel. God Bless.
Hello Granny and Triple R Farms another awesome video
Maize is itchyy!!!!
Good job guys
Looks good to me. I run rotor at 750 for wetter milo slower for drier. Concave 15 down to 11 I do run roundbars. Veins slow. I'll have to look on fan and sieves
There was a lot of play either in the rear u joint, or the pinion shaft. Not sure which, but I seen movement where there shouldn’t be.
Good afternoon Granny! It sure looks like Triple R has the pedal down to the metal on farming right now. I'm going to call the sorghum between 70-80 bu/acre.
Hello. Thanks for watching.
That means it will never be dry here, will be January before we see a freeze if we’re lucky😂
How about a leaf blower to clean off the combine?
Probably a dry cap on the u-joint
Buy a damm creeper for working under vehicles. Holy mighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to see you saving rabbits and baby deer I used to hunt but I couldn’t kill a rabbit now unless I was starving. Enjoy your channel.
That's a bad U Joint, dads wrong. We all are sometimes.
Seemed like there was alot of play, I thought bad pinion bearing
Definitely not right too much slop. Can't tell for sure but is either the u joint or something in the pig.
Great drone footage. Nicely done.
Looks good but you better be ready to get very itchy there bud
The Yeagers in Orriville grow sorghum
Thanks for watching 👍😁
Good morning from Texas
Hope you dodged the winds, great video as always Daniel! Give Granny a hug for us when you get a chance and we’ll see ya on the next one! Your entire crew is awesome!
Yep, the big winds missed Bama. It turned NE which was good for us
You’ll have to turn that fan speed way down so you dont blow it out the back
You need to order you a California duster for those windows, it works great
80 to 100 bushels is very good crop.
You will be amazed at how much that stuff stay in the combine and makes it nasty in there!
I've had a few good friends with those kinda trucks and they've had the same problem and they had to do work inside the gears bc they got alot of play and wear in them
Differential looks to have almost excessive play. You may want to measure backlash on pinion and ring gear
Do our need any help during cotton season when it gets ready and this is Tim Wallace from Tuscumbia Alabama and be safe
Great show Daniel?
Good evening Granny! May I ask why you were cutting only 2 rows? I am amazed you always find a new angle to show us. Dad is amazing. Sorghum looks good to me but what do I know.
Hello. Thanks for watching.
👍
Hello Granny.
Hello ☺️
Looks great 150 bu or more how this you plant population?
Cool, thanks for watching 👍😁
Great crop of dove food
Looks real healthy sorghum to me!
Daniel,I can see the rear yoke moving and the one hooked to it is not moving as much.Your rear universal is bad.
The sorghum looks great but I have no idea about cutting it
