I was recently with a girl for 5 years. We had such an amazing, intense, loving relationship & I thought we would spend our lives together. I was doing everything right, as she was completely head over heels in love with me...it was obvious. Our friends were amazed how passionate our relationship was, calling us "a couple of teenagers". This past 4th of July, when she had a LOT to drink, it slipped out that she had been occasionally sleeping with her children's father/ex husband behind my back the whole time, while telling me the whole time that she can't stand him, that he's a weak beta male, that she fell out of love with him years before I came along, that she cringes anytime he touches her, that she can't even stand to be in the same room as him. I was completely shocked! I ended the relationship on the spot, but I was so crushed...still am. 6 months later & she's still texting me "I miss you" & "I love you" which makes this even more difficult. But she's made zero attempts in rectifying the situation. I wouldn't take her back anyway, but it'd be nice to know that she's as heartbroken as I am.

A few days ago found out my girlfriend lied to me about small things. For example she said : “My ex asked me if I want him to drive me home but I refused” one of her girlfriends who is a very good friend of mine told me she actually asked him and jumped in his car. Also she was talking on the phone with her other ex for a whole night and lied to me as well. Comes to my place with deleted phone history once. Whatever you covet, due to lust, others surely will too; including that the object of your desire will likely be tempted a lot in turn and fall into it. ...I think that following lust is unwise. At the same time, I don't want to be devoid of feeling physically attracted to someone either. But it seems to be a bit of a tradeoff. Maybe the winning combo is being physically attracted without it being that the person is in general very attractive, and that you actually just have excellent chemistry and friendship with them. The last two, surely will enhance loyalty and devotion when times get tough and a relationship is tested.

Sept 5 2022 Broke up with my girlfriend today! I just happen to see red flags so I checked her messages and oh my gosh, she talks to several men and sex was always mentioned and not once she said no! The gasp of horror she let out led me to jokingly say "whose that, your new boyfriend lol? " and her subsequent red face panic induced babbling and flapping gave herself away..Iol. I looked on in disbelief as we both realised she was busted. Please get out of my car followed, calmly I said. And off I drove no contact no replies or dramas. Let these liars go and don't look back. I went so slow with my ex fiancé. Got kids involved, went on vacation with our kids. And then a woman reached out to me on Facebook telling me he was cheating. This was almost a year in! He was the best father. Amazing partner. It definitely takes 12-24 months to vet someone thoroughly.

But we broke up over an argument about it, and she’s on Hinge now after telling me she had deleted her Hinge account when we became exclusive. It’s the exact same profile, it was never deleted. Always speak up gents. I was not clear of any wrongdoing but when your gut tells you, you need to listen and speak up. The right one won’t take offence and gaslight you.

For example she said : “My ex asked me if I want him to drive me home but I refused” one of her girlfriends who is a very good friend of mine told me she actually asked him and jumped in his car. Though I don't have the same problem with cheating women in my life, I've been blindsided by attracting so many weak women in my romantic life for so long because I was a weak man. When confronting the girl you should start by asking questions you already know the answer of to give her a chance to confess. If she's lying then give her a little piece of information about what you know and see if she confess then or keep lying. It's fairly easy to want to have your cake and eat it too. I actually think that operating from lust is to doom yourself to being cheated on (and possibly to cheating yourself). Whatever you covet, due to lust, others surely will too; including that the object of your desire will likely be tempted a lot in turn and fall into it. ...I think that following lust is unwise. At the same time, I don't want to be devoid of feeling physically attracted to someone either.
But it seems to be a bit of a tradeoff.
Maybe the winning combo is being physically attracted without it being that the person is in general very attractive, and that you actually just have excellent chemistry and friendship with them. The last two, surely will enhance loyalty and devotion when times get tough and a relationship is tested.

Broke up with my girlfriend today! I just happen to see red flags so I checked her messages and oh my gosh, she talks to several men and sex was always mentioned and not once she said no! It broke my heart and didn't know how to confront her but I did this morning and I feel so much better

I went so slow with my ex fiancé. Got kids involved, went on vacation with our kids. And then a woman reached out to me on Facebook telling me he was cheating. This was almost a year in! He was the best father. Amazing partner. It definitely takes 12-24 months to vet someone thoroughly.

I found out early that my ex had been with a married man for a period of two years right before I met her. Strong evidence she had her ex around to hers when we were dating too. Used to take her phone with her even to the shower. Had over 100 nudes on her phone.
She was ticking so many boxes and I wanted it to be ok. She was very supportive and caring and otherwise consistent. But I raised all those concerns and was made out to be paranoid. Yes, I have traumatic relationship history and some issues.
But we broke up over an argument about it, and she’s on Hinge now after telling me she had deleted her Hinge account when we became exclusive. It’s the exact same profile, it was never deleted.
Always speak up gents. I was not clear of any wrongdoing but when your gut tells you, you need to listen and speak up. The right one won’t take offence and gaslight you.
