Exactly @PeanutBreathing I'm a happy chappy, means I can sometime get a compact phone and downsize from my S23 Plus. I don't want a phablet anymore. I have an iPad for that.
Thank you for covering the base model! The hype is always around Ultra, and the conversation around the base model is limited. While the features of the other two models are tempting, the compact size is hard to beat.
Even the S25+ is already a giant to begin with for people wanting compact phones. Samsung needs to take note of the trend. iphone has been releasing their "regular" sized pro phones since the 11, google and vivo just joined the party with their new flagships offering smaller phones with their flagship features. Meanwhile the base samsung "flagship" is essentially only there to shine up its bigger brothers. Lower screen resolution, lower charging speed, no UWB, etc. I almost decided to cope with the drawbacks and just get the base S25 until I realized last minute that even the storage option is capped at 256gb. A flagship phone coming out in 2025 with a maximum, unexpandable storage of 256gb is a joke.
Tbh we're at the point where there can't be major improvements every year. Just add a headphone jack, microsd slot, and increase battery size. Apparently that's too much to ask for!
Next year they are not going to change anything about the hardware. They are just going to change the design and you will go crazy for it. 😂 Mark my words
I love the 'base' variants of these phones! They're comfortable to hold, they fit well in my pocket, they have more than enough of everything that I could ever need, and (more importantly) they're so much better for my wallet. Thanks for reviewing it! I have the S23 and I think I'll hold on to it for at least 2 more years (till the OS updates run dry).
I feel like people forget sometimes that there isn't really ever gonna be a huge jump in the phones each year, they are made with the intention that you will upgrade every 3-4 years or longer. As someone who is upgrading to it, i feel like it is a major improvement over what I've been using (s21). I think the problem is they shouldn't be making a new phone EVERY year, should probably be every 2 years in my opinion for more time to improve the phone quality. If apple, samsung, or other big phone companies DO make a huge jump though in phone tech, I feel like others will hopefully follow

Don't worry about the battery, it will be fine. I ran a S6 for 4 years and that only had a 2550mAh battery and was still okay after. 4000mAh with the new efficient chip will suffice.
Why is everyone highlighting "AI" stuff like "AI screen capture" or "circle and find music" like it's new stuff? I can do all these things on my S24 Ultra running One UI 6.1 - they even look the same as in One UI 7.0. I mean, they are pretty useful, but they are not new in the S25 lineup or in One UI 7.0.
They could get a hymn sheet from Samsung to market the features they want to sell on the phone. Reviewers should not review the new phone based on OneUI 7 or AI, as they will all be coming to older phones. It is misleading people by including them. They should have separate reviews for software like AI.
Will try it out when i get mine, but so far more of a spec bump with a major fail to remove BT SPen. :) Big fan of Samsung but so far in 25 i think OnePlus is the leader for most solid upgrade this year exp. Camera that could have been better like always on OnePlus. :))

I'd trade my s24 for your note 20 ultra 😂😂😂 really miss mine. Lost it when I got blackout drunk one night out on an all inclusive trip in cuba 💀 bought an s24 and appart from the smoother performances (my note 20 ultra still ran just like day 1, even after 2 years of use) but I still noticed that the s24 feels just as smooth as ios. Thank you for sharing your experiences. s25 and s24 ultra series are close in price in my country and I couldn't find a comparison video. Can you make a comparison for this? especially for the video camera.
Are you able to disable the AI? I'm coming from an apple & my debating factor between this and the 24 is literally battery and seeing if I can disable the ai on the s25 too.
Currently I'm using Ip13 (2 years old) and S21 (4 years old) both the base models. The S21's battery was pretty solid compared to Ip13. Just recently about a month ago, I believe the S21's battery has given up so it runs out quite fast but comparing it when I newly bought the Ip13 by when the S21 was already 2 years old, the S21's battery lasted much longer compared to the Ip13. So I believe if you're coming from Iphone to Samsung you'll appreciate the battery life of Samsung way better.

I have the base model s23 8gb/256gb that i got for $200(dont ask me how), the offer right now at my place is $300 with trade in for the 12gb/512gb s25 base variant with free watch7. Thats good value for money right?
Still wanna hold on my Note 20 ultra. No retirement yet
The fingerprint scanner is just. ON. POINT. now. Tought It was good on my note, but I legit haven't have a missread on my s24. But appsrt from good performances. Damn. It's a boring phone. I remember unboxing my note, experiencing that big, nice curved display, 2k. That spen. Those cameras...
The s24 was like unboxing last year's iphone.
Open the box, look at the phone. Boot it.
That's it.
I also still have the note 20 ultra and it is as good and fast as day 1, but i am really considering upgrading to the s25 ultra someone help me lol
@339blackdiamond damn man, that's so unfortunate.
Yeah, i think my only issue is the battery (WHO ON BIG PHONE. IT'S NOT LIKE 6000mA, but they mad it like 4800mA.
@ameerkherbawi8466 i like the new flat screen. I love it more, i was considering upgrading, but im gone give it one more year lol
@@MorkeSD that is my biggest reason actually(the flat screen) i got tired of the edge cant use the phone with one hand without messing up typing or misclicking😑
Finally a nice video explaining all the deatils and flaws .
Wow you made my home town famous,.that's Plymouth not Barbados lol 😊
Shutter lag/ Motion Blur?
Hi, Where did you get the wallpapers for the phone, What app?
Great job I clicked the wrong video and was highly entertained
I do get the feeling that Samsung have caught on to the inflation preassure. Unlike Apple.
i have just ordered the s25 ultra can u recommended some decent games to play on it please
What about PWM? Is there any difference between previous model s24?
Greetings from Barbados!!! 😜
does the camera have a macro mode??😊
Spit my drink at “Americans can’t be bothered with all those i’s” for aluminium (which autocorrects to aluminum everytime)
This is one of the cases where I think the American pronunciation is right 😂
@ I mean…maybe lol…but I’ll be damned if Uncle Spurt shouldn’t just go on a comedy tour
Have you ever done boxing or some other sport witch is close to it ?
Thank you for sharing your experiences. s25 and s24 ultra series are close in price in my country and I couldn't find a comparison video. Can you make a comparison for this? especially for the video camera.
@TechSpurt will you be doing the plus model review as well?
Okay Uncle Spurt, now do a comparison between s25 ultra and oneplus13 so I can order my new phone
How would you compare this to the honor magic 7 pro? I'm considering one of the two
Quick question do s24 cases fit s25 ???? Great vid as always
Are you able to disable the AI? I'm coming from an apple & my debating factor between this and the 24 is literally battery and seeing if I can disable the ai on the s25 too.
That's why I switched from iPhone..it's like AI is being pushed down our throats..it's like a Popeyes biscuit with no water
Lmaoo i'm trying to switch because my battery gets issues on every phone i've had the last 4 years
Currently I'm using Ip13 (2 years old) and S21 (4 years old) both the base models.
@@vejayjackson5164 yes I totally agree with you on that.. but if you decide to upgrade your Samsung phone.. the s24Fe is a good buy
Where do you get your wallpapers from?
