The word "elder" is totally unnecessary and should never be used. There, I said it. Making English easier. Sincerely, an American.
My elder brother is shorter than me.
is it i am older than everyone here or i am elder than everyone here
Can I say eldest?
Yes, that is fine.
"eldest" is the superlative of old.
