The ones that use dryer duct are ok-ish if you're on a budget. With today's prices, I spent 120 on supplies to build one with a trash can and the results were less than impressive. I'm currently building a vortex chiller to replace the dryer duct chiller this year. Next year I'm going to build an ultrasonic chiller
The original goal was to have the ice chest version filled with ice and water to maximize thermal transfer. It worked extremely well, but the aluminum duct developed pin holes very quickly. The vortex chillers work well, but I need a extremely large one to keep up with the fog machine we use. I do want to look into ultrasonic next, as that is what I will be using to clean my vinyl collection anyways.
