Just got my prosthetic desert tan yeti roadie 24 aka the trash can, aka the hamper aka jk lol.. today. I luv it. Very happy with the height, very happy that it does not have a drain plug. One less thing to worry about with leaks when sitting on the back seat of my truck. This video helped me choose this model. Very happy. Cheers.
I believe those two caps are where they inject foam into the lid. If it comes off you can just glue it back on if it’s looking like it’s going to fall off I think I will pull it off and glue it back on so you don’t lose it. I would use an epoxy two-part glue
Great review, love the tip with yeti ice. If you put yeti ice at the bottom, will you still be able to put bottle of wine straight? Also how many bottles of wines you would be able to put there? Thanks!
my old flats boat had built in forward seat into console like yours. new one doesn't. Do you think it can serve as front of console seat if strapped down ?
Pretty cool changes like the latches and shape. But the 20 is way better the handle is far more durable and the anchoring down slots are better on the 20.... on the 2o if u put a lock bracket the third have to risk damaging the cooler and the 24 it seems like a few good yanks and that plastic is coming off lol
Yeti sells rod holders on their website for $40 or you can get more accessories for them online at Boatoutfitters but I think they’re for the Tundra family
Winston Zeb it’s not very big. I do get why they skipped the drain. The finger grove on the bottom for dumping it is a nice touch. Thanks for the comment.

Memphis Jahx ha. I’ve never considered it that color but now I can never unsee it. Lol. Thanks for the comment. Glad you liked the video
Glad to hear about the packs on bottom because my experience dropping them anywhere was they suck.
Works so much better lined on the bottom.
Bought a navy blue one today. I never liked the old floppy handles on the previous yeti coolers when I saw these new design handles I had to have it !
Ton Robert nice! You’ll love it. This has become my most used cooler. Thanks for the comment
The indentation on the bottom is a grip to use when you dump ice out of the cooler.
The Blake makes sense. Handy.
4:52 Do you know what the cap on the back of the lid does? The cap on my cooler is about to come off. What should I do?

I like it! Bringing a soft side cooler fan this look at Roadie has me lean towards a hard cooler. Thanks!
Charlie Mann awesome!! Thanks for the comment.

I think at least for possibly six would fit and thank you for the compliment
Torn between the Roadie 24 and Hopper 28. Insight?
Hands down the hopper. We use the hopper all the time. It just seems like a better shape.
Can you carry the Yeti over your shoulder? The strap seems too short.
Yes the strap is long enough to carry it over your shoulder.
Thanks for the video. Thanks for putting the ice packs inside side by side so we can see the capacity. Take care
Thanks!
The slot in the bottom is to assist with dumping it out. 1 hand on the strap the other in the slot
Thanks for the comment. After using it for a few months I realized this
my old flats boat had built in forward seat into console like yours. new one doesn't. Do you think it can serve as front of console seat if strapped down ?
Yes definitely for sure. It’s extremely rigid.
Does the metal bracket fit through the handle swivel mounts in order to lock it down?
Yes. There is a slot on the handle swivel where it attaches, the lid is completely free at all times.
Why would Yeti make this cooler without a drain? That's a deal breaker for me.
Robert Hicks easy enough to dump I guess? No idea. It is pretty small.
You can literally turn it upside down lol I mean I like the drain plugs but they are just something else you have to keep clean!
@@Treestandtroubadour i keep my cooler filled all summer, and every two days I drain and add ice. Doing that with things inside sucks :/
Winston Zeb good point I’m always cleaning my out from trips I feel you on that
@@Treestandtroubadour My main point was a $199 cooler should have a drain plug. My RTIC 20 cooler I got for half that price has 2 drain plugs.
Will it fit in a regular size car trunk?
Yes for sure
Great video. I especially loved the parts where you slurped on your coffee right into the microphone. It really sold the yeti cooler to me 👍🏻
Awesome! It’s the little things that matter.
Hey, what size ice blocks are the ones you have? The site doesn't show any that fit like that.
Kelly McAuliffe yeti has three sizes. These are the middle size.
Are those 2 pound yeti ice
Nahum De Leon yes. 2 of them fit perfect on the bottom.
Seems to have a big gap between the lid and the body? My other coolers sit super flush.
Sen Raq maybe the new latches.
Does it leak if tipped
Yes
With those 2 ice packs, do you think food would still stay cold if kept in the car in florida heat?
Probably not for very long
What size is the ice pack that fit the best?
Two of the medium ice packs fit best
@@bobbygfl is that the 2lb ones?

No fishing rod holders ?

Nope. Lol
Great review!
Steven Mendez thank you!
If it had a drain I'd buy it today

Something more to fuck up
Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Thanx!
Thank you!
What size is the ice pack?
They are Yeti 2lbs Ice
Large
How tall wide and long is it?
will do thanks!
Why no slot cut outs for yeti rod holders jeez
Thanks
Next review needs to be on that coffee cup
Devin Munoz that’s some cup!
Looks like yeti just copied pelican 20qt and called it “new”. 😆
That pelican 20 quart has a much smaller interior in my opinion. But yes similar
Sure
What size yeti ice for the bottom?
They are Yeti 2lbs Ice
The largest one
Don’t love how tall it is. I hate when coolers tip over in the back
Gsmonk agreed. However it has been handy for wine bottles or 2 L soda bottles.
@@bobbygfl do the wine bottles fit with the ice packs on the bottom?
No. Packs need to go sideways.
@@bobbygfl Thanks for the reply.
But you are drinking your coffee from a Tervis not a Yeti 😱
Chris R. 😂😂
I don’t really like drinking hot out of stainless. I feel like it gives metallic taste. Likely entirely in my head.
Why do guys insist on drinking in their videos? Chocolate milk or otherwise?
Lol. That’s funny. I should start drinking and more of my videos. Beer specifically.
I don’t trust a guy who drinks chocolate milk during a review
Quinn Miller that is a weird thing to say, but ok.
Quinn Miller shut up
To small... enough for 6 pack only..
Wrong
Thanks
Yeti is overrated and overpriced for what it is
iwantosavemoney but it says Yeti on it!
