Mahalo Aloha🤙❤😊
This was a really enjoyable video Marilyn. It's great you have found such wonderful authors to treasure. 🌻
Thank you, Sandra. Since joining book tube, I have found many more Authors to love. Thanks so much for watching. Aloha friend.
Beautiful
Aloha Maya, adding some Pym to my Kindle.
You will love her! Aloha friend
This is my sign to read some Agatha Christie this year !
There’s no one like Dame Agatha! Thank you so much for watching. Aloha friend.
Maya, your enthusiasm for these books is a joy to hear. I agree that the best books are those that give me more on rereading. Shani Mootoo, Helen Humphreys & Jeanette Winterson come to mind as authors that make me happy and whose books stand up to multiple reads.
Hi Lindy, I love Jeanette Winterson and want to reread her. I will look up the other authors you mentioned. Aloha friend.
Hi Marilyn. I LOVE this idea of you talking about books that you both enjoy and admire. I, too, am a huge Jane Austen fan. I used to teach Pride and Prejudice every year, so that is probably the novel of hers that I know the best. I have also always loved Emma. I've also loved all of the Agatha Christie that I have read, but I certainly haven't read as much of her as you have. I need to revisit Barbara Pym. I read some of her novels long ago. I had no idea that Betty Smith wrote so many novels. What I LOVE about this video is the sheer joy that you exude when you talk about these authors and their books and the joy that they bring you! Have a lovely weekend, my friend!🥰
Thank you, Pat, it was wonderful, taking all my books down and showing them. I don’t have as many books as other creators, but the books I showed are my treasures. Aloha friend.
I love anything by Fannie Flagg !
⚘⚘⚘
I have read 12 Barbara Pym books, they are so wonderful! This past month I read 3 in a row. What fun!
I agree that Barbara Pym’s books are wonderful! in the last two months, I’ve read three of her books. I did not know she had 12 books. I’m excited to get to the ones I’ve missed. Thank you so much for watching. Aloha friend.
If you haven’t read Crampton Hodnet yet, I highly recommend! It’s quite funny and endearing.
@@artandbooks5850 that’s one of the first Barbara Pym books I read. I didn’t really understand the setting and culture. I definitely want to reread it. Thank you for reminding me of Crampton Hodnet. Aloha and thanks for watching.
A very interesting video! AC is the only one of your 5 that I have read. I'm in the queue for the Woolworth one since you mentioned it in an earlier video. Thank you for the recommendations!
Hi BJ, I hope you get some laughs from "Woolworth" though it's not really a funny book. BTW, I thank you for suggesting Deborah Crumbie I ordered some books by her at my library. I appreciate your friendship Aloha.
@MarilynMayaMendoza Hope you like her!! I'm currently reading A Finer End - #7 in the series. If you could find it, you should start with A Share In Death. I appreciate you as well!! It's wonderful having book friends all around the world 🥰.
@@bjminton2698 thanks BJ. I think that’s the one I ordered from my library, but I’ll check. Appreciate you always, aloha friend.
LOVE Barbara Pym. Reading Jane and Prudence now, and have read most of hers. I also am a huge fan of Betty Smith and Jane Austin. I own tomorrow will be better, but haven’t read yet. I thought Maggie Now was a sequel to ATGIB.
Hello Patrine, Wow! I love that you read Betty Smith's other books. Now I have to reread Maggie Now. I'm so happy we love the same authors. Jane and Prudence is a wonderful book. Enjoy! And thank you for watching. Aloha friend.
