2024 Training Flight 🕊️

April 14, 2024 training flight for 17 birds these birds were taken on a 1.6 mile flight. Some of them did exceptionally well. Others came back hours later and some has not arrived since this video was posted not uncommon. It can take days weeks even up to a month sometime for the birds to return even on a short flight, Pigeons can fly hundreds of miles back to their loft. There’s a lot of factors that can delay the birds from coming back wind 💨 direction bad weather,and let’s not forget predators, especially Hawks😱 but hopefully this video was enjoyed and you gain some knowledge from it please like shared subscribe. Should you ever find one of these loss homing pigeons? They usually will have identification bands that you can type into a computer just by going to Google and looking up lost Pigeons the information that’s provided on the leg band will direct this bird back to its owner, should you have to care for one just water and regular wild bird seed will keep it sustained .

Just a quick note it’s good to take veteran (Birds on the flight with you to help guide the new (Birds back home🤓 usually the veterans will try to hang out with the new (Birds for a little while, but they will quickly leave them and come home as of 4/16/24 I had three more birds come back 😅still missing 4😮 so out of 17 (Birds 13 returned😊 still waiting on the others🤠 one quick note I would like to add also any new (Birds let them train near the loft first before taking them any distance🤓
