- This video demonstrates the difference between a regular city pigeon vs. a domesticated homing pigeon I was unable to really detail out everything but just wanted to give some basic information and you can clearly look these things up on Google due to the fact that there’s over 300 species of pigeon the English carrier pigeon I believe was inbred with the common city pigeon to give us the Homing pigeon?? I started raising city Pigeons when I was around 12 years old and at 52 I’m still raising pigeons they are domesticated pigeons, which are used around the world 🌎 for races and other events. just about every year I get stray pigeons coming to my loft. Sometimes I even get other racing pigeons that get lost during a race. I always contact the owner of the racing pigeon to try to return it.. hope you enjoy this video please like shared subscribe .

6:14 That's one of the ones that take notice of everything. They look so cute when being slightly overwhelmed or truly astonished, and they seem to think things through a lot 🙂

Nice video, my son and I race pigeons and have had a wild one trap in and drink & eat. We just let him come and go as he pleases
@@joel11230 Thank You 🙏🏽
I've been flying since I was a kid "" off and on "" over the years. I'm 63 now. Yeah, I'm with you all the way. I've had ferals come back and home as well as, and sometimes better than some of the Homer's do! Many guys believe that ferals, being made up from themselves and lost homing pigeons and rollers and tipplers are "" Super Pigeons ""! Seriously. Because they're very adaptive and fly well. Sometimes flying 50 miles from the country to get to feed in the suburbs or Farms far from the cliffs they nest on in the wild. Great video! God bless you and safe travels.
Wow, that’s interesting. Thank you for sharing story and you stay safe as well and God bless you
Love the color variety
Thanks 🙏🏽

@@markgladney1836 I have used them mainly for other services no racing yet but they have done very well. Coming home from different places.
Very informative video
Thank You 🙏🏽
In Minnesota we give feral pigeons the name "Scrub". A useless bird.

Maybe this will change your mind
@@JonesRacingPigeons I meant "Minnesota pigeons fanciers" including myself, we MN fanciers/hobbyists call feral pigeons "Scrubs". Since feral pigeons are not valued like racing pigeons and other domesticated fancy breed of pigeons. The definition of scrub for feral pigeon is useless pigeon or a scrubby street pigeon.
You have selections
thanks :)
Do ya eat them?I do a lot of dove hunting and sometimes we have pigeons come in the field.I think they taste wonderful. They are pretty cool to watch on here.
