Most Tiger features are still relevant today even after all these years, like H264 video, Spotlight search, core image and core video leveraging GPU, etc. Tiger was the OS that attracted me to buy my first Mac.
Switched to Mac in April of 2006... As I type this comment it is March 2024. Two years and it's been 20 years. Tiger was the Mac OS X that I was introduced to and I'm not gonna lie, I'm still fond of it to this day. With things going into the "flat" design and having long abandoned skeuomorphic, I miss the days of brushed metal and the shiny liquid objects. I know it'll never come back as things change, but as corny as it sounds after I switched to Mac in 06' it literally made me re-think a lot of things I considered, "normal" and I swear I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't just gone, "well, let me try this..."
Same, but I will say back then they all said “I miss apple pre-iPod” and everyone was excited for the rumoured iPhone to change things up. But yep. 2000s Apple is nostalgic af
@@techtipsuk this would've been a similar price to the Pro Display if adjusted for inflation (you would be able to afford a Pro Display and about half of the stand)
Goddamn it. Twenty years ago and the AirPort Express still doesn't have as good of a competing product today at the same price. Sonos sucks and HomePods are ridiculous.
20+ years later the 30 inch Cinema Display is still amazing. The unusual 16 x 10 aspect ratio is awesome.
Just like most of HP monitors ;)

@@Johnashward212 Apple is literally a phone company
Modern webcams still don't match the Firewire Apple webcam I had like 20yrs ago.
Apple will never be this good ever again.
Lol. Steve’s reality distortion field is in full effect
We still don't have a 30 inch modern display. Man, wow, how things have changed.
You're kidding right? I can't fathom how much dumber you might be.
Yeah we have a 32-inch 6K display! That's even better!
@@taylork2281yeah but you need a mortgage to buy one
@@techtipsukIf that’s the case, it’s not for you.

1:35:36 it’s funny watching everyone lose their shit when they see that you can video chat with more than one person.
I believe it was not more than one people in chat makes people exciting, it was the smooth transition

What's wrong with Sonos?
