You will not want Watergate anymore after you taste lime jello salad large coolwhip 1 block cream cheese 1 can drain pine apple tidbits 2 small boxes jello lime flavor 8oz of hot hot 7 up or you can use water melt cheese and cool whip and jello togeather stir like soup until melted or use mixer to mix well either way works just so cream cheese is melted well and all mixed up chill get out of fridge add what you want coconut pecans mini marshmallows pineapple big tablespoon mayonnaise yum!!

Instead of coolaid, my mom used to make this with frozen concentrated limeade. The other difference is that you freeze it. It is like the texture of ice cream, and tastes a lot like key lime pie. It is so good, delicious and easy. Everyone I have served it to thought I spent a long time making it.

The can of sweetened condensed milk may add the sweetness?
But, you may have enough in the bowl to make two pies!!
P.S. Love the Dreamsicles from my School days!!
Here's what I found that tastes just like them: Orange Sherbet and the fluffiest Vanilla tasting ice cream that you can find, maybe like churned vanilla bean.

Maybe mixing Frozen Orange Juice to the Frozen Orange Sherbert would add the texture that you may be looking for, then just add the Vanilla Ice Cream, then add to a Graham Cracker Pie Shell, Freeze, then serve. Hmmm...

Take 4 Hershey bars (Regular or king size if you want it really chocolatey) and grind up the Hershey bars in a blender or food processor until it is powdered. Then replace the KoolAid with the chocolate. --- We call it the Chocolate Dream Cloud dessert. Otherwise it is pretty much the same recipe.

I know this is a Kool Aid recipe but my Mom use to make 2 Jello salads all year long that I loved and miss so much. She would fix lime jello as directions on box. She would drain pineapple chunks and then rinse cottage cheese and drain. She would add these to the Lime jello. And the other one was orange jello. She would shred carrots and drain mandarin oranges and add these to the orange jello. She would set in the fridge and let set. These are wonderful.

Also, Bing cherry jello with Bing Cherries and walnuts-yum.

  • @kimberleyhosmer5997

Similar concept but made with angel food cake, ice cream and Jello:
You slice off the bottom of the cake and hollow out a trench all around, (saving the pieces for later) then make Jello with ice cream in place of the cold water.
Chill until it gets to the consistency of egg whites, then stir in the pieces of cake that you removed earlier and refill the hollowed out cake. Replace the bottom and chill till set.
Once it is set, place a plate over the top(bottom) and flip it upright, then
“Frost” with Cool Whip mixed with a packet of Kool Aide in a matching or complimentary flavor. I remember lime being pretty popular. Some even added a small can of crushed pineapple to the Jello mix. Very light and refreshing! Especially popular in the summer!
