Is it needed to add something at the bottom of the pot like rocks for drainage ? If I want to do a lollipop is it best to get a 1GALLON or smaller and pick the main truck?

Hey Nate! Those are Lemon Cypress. The best time to find them is right before the holidays. I know that our local Wal-Mart always gets them in right before Thanksgiving. I've also seen them at Trader Joe's and Home Depot. A few tips... They love morning sun but never ever let them dry out. They are hardy down to 20 degrees. If you bring them in, keep them away from drying air in your home. They make great candidates for topiary. Hope you give them a try. Best of luck.

How often do you fertilize a boxwood? Does it matter what kind of soil?
