Alissa is a killer vocalist. I think she fits Arch Enemey really well, But as you said... "We will rise" with Angela will always be a classic. And if you would like to hear some awesome female vocalist, you guys should definitely give Jinjer a try. Jinjer is a Ukrainian metalcore band, but they are really versatile.

great reaction guys, I'm liking the new Arch Enemy! Alyssa was awesome in The Agonist, Thank You Pain is still one of my all time favorites, so I was really happy to hear she'd joined Arch Enemy. For more female harsh vocals, look into Jinger, Infected Rain, and Ad Infinitum!
Alissa has done some incredible songs with Kamelot too that showcase more of her clean vocals. Liar Liar is a good one that comes to mind. She's amazingly talented and I really like how well she's done with the band because Angela's shoes are hard to fill. She also did an awesome song with Carnifex called No Light Shall Save Us that is also a badass song. Melissa Bonny from Ad Infinitum is another good female fronted one to check out. Their song Animals is a good one to showcase her mix of harsh and clean vocals. It has some symphonic styling to it but not like Nightwish or Unleash the Archers. Infected Rain is another good harsh vocal female fronted band. I recommend either Postmortem Part 1 or Longing for them. Last but not least cannot forget to include Holy Roller by Spiritbox. That ones pretty solid and will probably scare Paul a bit with Courtney's makeup.
Jinjer, Ad Infinitum, and Spiritbox come to mind pretty quickly. All their vocalists have mad skills. For a fantastic non-growling rock singer, watch Unleash the Archers.
I'm glad you pointed out Loomis. Nevermore is one of my all-time favorite artists, and Loomis is criminally underutilized in Arch Enemy. We need a new Conquering Dystopia album, or something (since Nevermore is clearly off the table. RIP Warrel Dane).
Please check out modern The Agonist aswell, they deserve it. For example the song Remnants in Time, Vicky is amazing! Other young amazing bands to check out is Seven Spires with Gods of Debauchery, they play symphonic black power metal jazz something (their diversity is insane)
For other awesome heavy female vocalists check out Jinger - Pisces and Spiritbox - Holy Roller. Both bands have a lot of great material, but those songs are good starting points IMO.
I think it's sad she limited her capacity for singing in this band, she was more free in the Agonist. In a more light theme I recommand Nanowar of Steel - And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle. Lot of laught assured
I'm lukewarm on this band's previous offerings. I've always thought the band was super talented, but the vocals fell a little short somehow. I don't know what she did, but Alyssa nails the vocals in this song. So much depth this go round.
