I think your ferry angle was fine at the time of your capsize. Depending on the speed/power of the current going at 1 or 2 o clock is fine. Your mistake was not to lean/edge away from the current.

Why? I do everything I can to avoid having accidents where my canoe would be full of water and meet a rock
