I am in desperate need of assistance. I am a commissioned Illinois notary. I received my commission last year, Nov 2023, before the state exam was required. On the application, I answered YES when asked if I planned to do RON/Electronic notarizations. I also purchased the additional bond required. I tried to register with BlueNotary, but an approved RON certificate is needed. I'm not exactly sure what that is. All I have is my receipt from the NNA showing that it was purchased, plus a copy of my notary application. I went to the Sec of State to find out how to get my certificate for proof. I see that I have to fill out another application with a fee, but I also have to provide the name of the RON platform I am registered with. And there is my dilemma. Both applications are telling me I need the other one first to apply. Help!
