Accurite Lightning Detector

Video showing inaccuracy of distance measurement on Accurite lighting detector. Strike was approximately 1 mile away based on flash to bang. Further verified later with data from Blitzortung network.

i use MIOPS for Lightning Photography if that can help you . After watching this Video i just bought one AcuRite 02020 Portable Lightning Detector on Ebay , will see how good it is ... Cheers

What is the point of using this? My senses work better than this.

By the time you can hear lightning you are already at risk of being hit. (~10km) These detectors have a range of over 40km giving you advanced warning
