£299 is definately NOT a suitable price point for this low end phone. With 300 quid you can buy a nothing phone 1 with snapdragon 778G, and phones from other brand like xiaomi/poco etc A phone with snapdragon 695 and LCD screen should be priced at about £199, if not lower.

I was hesitating between this and a Motorola phone, but I have a feeling this will be the perfect phone for me. What matters to me is long battery life, headphone jack, strong screen that doesn't break whenever I drop it (I tend to drop things a lot due to my clumsiness), not super heavy, is small enough to fit in your pocket, is fast enough to switch from one app to another and doesn't freeze all the time. This seems to be a nice phone and hopefully it will be a good choice for longer time. But if you know a phone like I mentioned with a similar price to this or cheaper, let me know!
Update: I have bought this phone. Clearly not a top notch perfection but it's good enough for everything I need! So far I don't regret buying it although sometimes the mobile data connection is a mess :'D
@@Lightwooden Once I had to switch off my phone due to writing an exam. Once I switched back, it always switched between 4G+ and 5G and then the data just randomly disappeared. It switched from one to another in every around 5 seconds. I had no other idea so I restarted the phone and no longer have this issue thank goodness.

I don't take too many photos, so wasn't too fussed about the quality of my photos; plus there's also photo editing, so who cares! I'll be heading out to Ghana soon, so I'll give it a real test while I'm out there. The volume on this phone is INSANE! LOUDEST phone I have ever had and what I love most is, that even at full pelt, the sound is not distorted. I also purchased the 'SoundCore Q30' headphones by Anker; which you've also reviewed and I used my OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite phone to download the Equalizer App which allows you to customize your sound to how you like it. The preset sounds are outstanding and make the whole listening experience amazing! It was easy to set up. Like you said, loads of storage, lovin' it! Been gaming like mad since I can now download, dambed near, EVERY GAME ON THE PLANET! Although the phone does come with a charger, it's NOT suitable for the United Kingdom. I rang the manufacturer and was told, "Yes, we are based in the UK, but our phones only come with an International Charger." He then congratulated me on becoming a Red Club Member. Not really worth my time exploring that. I then had to go rummaging in an old drawer to search for my International socket extension, so I could finally get to use my phone. . The charging is slower than I thought it was going to be, but faster than many.

I bought a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G (not the new edition) 1,5 years ago for 250 euros slightly on sale.. it has a stronger (SD 780) processor than this, a 90hz amoled display that's slightly smaller. 2GB less RAM. Bit disappointed how little phones have progressed in the two years since it's launch for the same price. At least this has even faster charging.
Yeah but there have been delays and stuff with COVID and other factors. Creating more efficient and powerful chips is getting harder and harder because the transistors are setting to small in electronics
Been using the 9pro for two years now, some hiccups the first months but in the end its been a really good experience! Ok, it sucks batteries but the fast charging is highly addictive. It's no more paranoia since all you need is 15min to get one extra day out of it 😊
I used to say this but man budget phones suffer in the camera department. I am not a mobile gamer but maybe it suffers in that department as well. But you are right if the only thing that is important is watching TH-cam and chatting budget phones nowadays are more than good enough.

Hated the pixel 7 ,the tensor chip is crap ,the only thing I liked was the camera. The one plus ce3 lite photos look very Google pixel like so I would go for that
I installed the free Open Camera camera app on my budget Realme 10 which improved the photo and especially the video results. I liked the app so much that I installed it on my S24+ as well to have some choice.

Yeah but take note those AMOLED panels are the reason why some phone end up having dead pixels , I would rather go back to a LCD panel, least will cause any eye strain.

Phenomenal specs for a £300 phone. I'll be looking to get a new phone in the next month or so. Although this offering from OnePlus is very tempting, I tend to keep my phones for ages, so I want something that has some form of waterproof rating. I don't like the side fingerprint scanner. I prefer a front screen jobby as I keep my phone in a cradle for many hours each day and reaching the side will be a pain in the giblets. Love the SD card slot, but am not a fan of bottom-mounted headphone jacks - I prefer mine at the top. Wasn't blown away by the camera at all. Colors looked washed out, and the video shot in that indoor market looked like something you'd get on a 10 year old phone. Not a huge fan of the shape. I prefer a more squared-away look. I hate the lime green color, sorry. And the back is way too shiny. Remember the HTC Wildfire? I've still not had a phone that felt better in my hand than that. I prefer a solid-feeling phone with aluminum sides. Don't know what glass is fitted to the phone, but most these days have that stuff that scratches up just by looking at it. Be nice to have a phone that can run Genshin Impact without having to dial down all the graphics. But I guess for £300 what do you expect? A great phone for sure, but I want something better.
I do like the playful color they chose for the device. Tired of all the flagship phones utilizing subdued colors. Wish they would go back to something with some pizzazz rather than black and white options only.

Can highly recommend this phone. Bought it around 3 weeks ago for 170€ and it has worked like a charm. Great cameras, super fast charging, (67w), 120hz lcd 2k screen, 8gb ram + 8gb expandable ram. Feels really smooth to use overall. Good processor also and support for 5g. Edit: Its been a month now, since i bought this phone. I can honestly say i will buy OnePlus phones from now on. Super smooth to use, the OS is a lot better than xiaomi MIUI, which i used before. Highly recommend to anyone looking for budget phone under 160-170€ this beats all phones. Even many 200-250€ phones 😅

Bought 1 at launch, like 3 months ago. Woke up today and sim card not detected. Even ignoring that, its honestly the worst phone experience i ever had. From the European market to the Asian market I can tell you that this phone is , much cheaper to get in Asia. I did a price review. My wife lives in the Philippines and it's almost 150 euros cheaper. I'll be buying 2 over there and when I return to Europe I'll get it unlocked so it can work here.

S23 Ultra hands down, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 + UFS 4.0 storage means that it will outlasts the 30 ultra, the moto ui just not enough with the 8+ Gen 1 limitations

It sounds like you got caught up in that hole Android 12 debacle. Android 12 is wreaking havoc with oxygen OS 12 and caused a lot of bugs. I went through the same problem with my 8T and nord n200. Although, it wasn't oneplus's fault and the problem was solved when Android 13 came out. Frankly, Android 12 was a terrible operating system and it should have never been released. At the moment, I am still using my 8T and I recently purchased an 11 and they both run perfectly on Android 13 with oxygen OS 13.
@@diogoandrade6894 that's interesting because my buddies s21 ultra ran terribly on Android 12. It had all kinds of stuttering issues and it didn't repair itself until Android 13 came out. Actually, Google has already accepted their culpability and admitted their fault with Android 12 so, it's not really debatable.

Το μόνο που χάνεις είναι η κάμερα 200mp, αλλά κατά την γνώμη μου δεν χρειάζεται. Στο σκρούτζ το oneplus 11 είναι και πιό φθηνό έτσι κερδίζεις και κάποια χρήματα εκεί.
A good spec for the lite version, but the back colours are not for me. I would prefer a smaller Oled display that is mre pocket friendly and can handle outdoor use better. We will have to wait and see what the CE 5 offers.
If OP would make a 6.2" or 6.3", I'd jump on board, but this constantly going bigger, is getting old, IMHO. I have the OP8T and like it, but I love my s23 (6.1"), but the s23 could be a wee-bit bigger.

No devices with snapdragon 695 are bad at video recording. 1080p 30 fps and it is still laggy

Bought 1 at launch, like 3 months ago. Woke up today and sim card not detected. Even ignoring that, its honestly the worst phone experience i ever had. Even the review is half hearted and tries hard to be nice. If i didnt have to replace my old phone in a hurry, i would NEVER had SETTLED on this one

From the European market to the Asian market I can tell you that this phone is , much cheaper to get in Asia. I did a price review. My wife lives in the Philippines and it's almost 150 euros cheaper. I'll be buying 2 over there and when I return to Europe I'll get it unlocked so it can work here.

This is a terrible phone , it's literally realme 10 pro with thicker bezel and a fake 67 watt charger that charges at 23 watt at best .

S23 Ultra hands down, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 + UFS 4.0 storage means that it will outlasts the 30 ultra, the moto ui just not enough with the 8+ Gen 1 limitations

It sounds like you got caught up in that hole Android 12 debacle. Android 12 is wreaking havoc with oxygen OS 12 and caused a lot of bugs. I went through the same problem with my 8T and nord n200. Although, it wasn't oneplus's fault and the problem was solved when Android 13 came out. Frankly, Android 12 was a terrible operating system and it should have never been released. At the moment, I am still using my 8T and I recently purchased an 11 and they both run perfectly on Android 13 with oxygen OS 13.

@@diogoandrade6894 that's interesting because my buddies s21 ultra ran terribly on Android 12. It had all kinds of stuttering issues and it didn't repair itself until Android 13 came out. Actually, Google has already accepted their culpability and admitted their fault with Android 12 so, it's not really debatable.

Σπύρο προσωπικά θα αγόραζα το 2T (ή ακόμα και το 2, δεν έχουν σχεδόν καμία διαφορά αλλα στο σκρουτζ το 2 είναι λίγο πιο φθηνό) διότι είναι πιο γρήγορο (650.000 vs ~400.000 antutu) και έχει καλύτερη κάμερα. Ναι μεν η μπαταρία ειναι λίγο μικρότερη αλλα είναι μόνο κατα 500mah και δεν καταλαβαίνεις εύκολα την διαφορά.

@@spirostampakis7221 προσωπικά το oneplus 11 θα αγόραζα διότι έχει ουσιαστικά τα ίδια χαρακτηριστικά με το s23 ultra αλλά έχει το πιο γρήγορο oxygenos και φορτίζει με τριπλή την ταχύτητα. Το μόνο που χάνεις είναι η κάμερα 200mp, αλλά κατά την γνώμη μου δεν χρειάζεται. Στο σκρούτζ το oneplus 11 είναι και πιό φθηνό έτσι κερδίζεις και κάποια χρήματα εκεί.

A good spec for the lite version, but the back colours are not for me.
I would prefer a smaller Oled display that is mre pocket friendly and can handle outdoor use better.
We will have to wait and see what the CE 5 offers.
