That was funny, very refresshing to hear some clean jokes. The way he performed naturally in front of crowds was unbelievable. He didn't skip a beat. Thanks for the upload.
You can tell that Henny was one of those older men that would crack jokes to workers who had to come over to perform work in his home. I've experience with guys like that. I used to work for a cable company and a few of us were in training, so we had to go with the trainer to do some work in an old school Italian guy's home. He had us cracking up with his dry sense of humor the whole time. I get the feeling Henny was just like that.
None funnier than Henny. I saw him live when he was 90 - 45 minutes later, my facial muscles literally ached from all the laughter! RIP Henny - and your WIFE too!
No,I was not his agent nor his mortician. I was his psychotherapist for many years and believe me he better off stage than he was on stage. We used meet in Boston on Thursday's and talk for fifty minutes. He was great and he was the King of the one liners as well.
Darn. I was hoping you actually didn't know him, and, like I, simply proclaimed him being the greatest, completely regardless of personally knowing him. :( sad face. Was any of your counsel grist for his material? "You have fears of not paying bills, Mr. Youngman......Take my invoice, please......."
Any young man was beautiful he was amazing he is so precious to this world that there should be a shrine saying this is the king of the one-liners amazing precious he should be one of our nation precious world I mean I swear he is beautiful
This guy was too old for me and I'm 58, but its great so see people a lot younger than I am laughing. I remember him as a kid. He throws so much at you so fast that you can't hep laughing (YOU try it some time). Not everyone can do this.
I'm here because I heard Billy Knight in Fallout: New Vegas is based on Youngman. But now that I'm here I find that this can't be true--Youngman is a _good_ comedian.
"So what - let's call me a ham, I don't give a damn....." How can you not love that and just simply declare him greater than Albert Schweitzer and Mahatma Gandhi combined?
That was hilarious. Someone so uncool as Henny Youngman with such a cool dude as Dick Clark. Now I can see where Rodney Dangerfield got his shtick delivery from... Wonder what the date was...
Not stealing. Honoring. Dangerfield was inspired in part by this man here, and after Youngman died Dangerfield kept doing some of his one liners to keep his memory alive.
Well, if you want to get technical, Youngman was not very good at all with his delivery. His voice, body, and face were expressionless. He was somewhat monotonal, his his pace was one speed - fast and he just stood there motionless holding the violin. His delivery was not expressive to coincide with what he was saying. He'd blurt out a one liner so fast and with such little expression, you had to take a second or two after he blurted it out to figure out what he said and he'd just stand there expressionless waiting for you to laugh. And sometimes, you didn't laugh. In comedian's terms, he had no timing. He was just like a robot. It was like he was reading from a script. The only thing he had going for him was the fact that he was kind of funny looking, but he didn't use facial expressions. Rodney on the other hand, was a master. He had the body movements, the facial expressions (how he made his eyes pop out like that I'll never know), and the vocal expressions to coincide with his material. He essentially acted the part out while he was delivering the material. And his timing was impeccable. Overall, Rodney's schtick and material were better also, and Youngman used to steal some of Rodney's material.
Lmao the wheelchair bit killed me. Genius.
It never gets old ever!
That was funny, very refresshing to hear some clean jokes. The way he performed naturally in front of crowds was unbelievable. He didn't skip a beat. Thanks for the upload.
I have 187 I.Q. it can't be beat one liners, wicked, but short enough for a burnout with short attention span ,to hear it all
Foist joke was kinda doity 😀
I love how he smiles at himself, like he enjoys his own jokes.
It seemed more like he loved seeing the audience laugh.
Exactly
I believe if you don't enjoy the jokes yourself, you shouldn't say them.
He deserved a standing ovation. Funny man.
Watched him when I was a kid. Always been one of my favorite comedians.
I thought you said, Whacked him when I was younger!
Aw. I love anyone who can make me laugh, and Henny does that for sure.
This guy had that magic touch!
" Tammy Baker...they took her make up off, they found Jimmy Hoffa !! ""...LMAO CLASSIC !
Old wind is one of my favorites. Can't get enough of his wit. That Dick Clark knew how to respect the old crew. I cry remembering these guys.
2:16 LOL I like that one. Also on the movie Goodfellas.
Man couldn't pay his bill, doctor gave him another 6 months.........god bless Henny Youngman
You can tell that Henny was one of those older men that would crack jokes to workers who had to come over to perform work in his home.

Like Rodney, During an interview it was hard to just talk, he would just go straight into his act.
Old school showman gig...👍🏻
None funnier than Henny. I saw him live when he was 90 - 45 minutes later, my facial muscles literally ached from all the laughter! RIP Henny - and your WIFE too!
He never misses a beat. It's funny every time. Does anyone have any Henny Youngman opening for NRBQ?
never stopped laughing i love you henny youngman
All the great legends are gone now.
When I want a good laugh and put on a smile I put on Henny.
Best of all times! Legend!
The greatest man who ever lived period.
+Steven Fanale Really? Ever lived? Were you his agent or mortician? Both?
No,I was not his agent nor his mortician. I was his psychotherapist for many years and believe me he better off stage than he was on stage. We used meet in Boston on Thursday's and talk for fifty minutes. He was great and he was the King of the one liners as well.

"You have fears of not paying bills, Mr. Youngman......Take my invoice, please......."
No that would be Jesus Christ!
Steven Fanale that would be Rodney Dangerfield, but I respect your opinion.
Henny told some of those jokes thousands of times, yet he could still make it work. That's real talent.
'How is your love life?" "i don't know, I am 140 miles away!" haha I wish I could have seen him live, he did have some good one liners.
Any young man was beautiful he was amazing he is so precious to this world that there should be a shrine saying this is the king of the one-liners amazing precious he should be one of our nation precious world I mean I swear he is beautiful
Great stuff, love this guy and Rodney too. Thank you for the upload.
Well worth watching.

Awesome!
Never fails to make me laugh. One of the greats.
Gave'em another six months! 🤣
This where RODNEY DANGERFIELD got his one liners from.
He was the greatest.
2:22 Dangerfield used to tell a very similar joke.
You'll come to find that generations always take from each other.
Omg i love him
Bless him.
They were watching a legend unaware.
they don't make them like this anymore....what a treat
That was a cute act.
Legend
I want to see Henny Youngman and Rodney Dangerfield in a Verzuz battle.

The one and only, thank God :) :)

This Guy Rules!😂
I'm here because I heard Billy Knight in Fallout: New Vegas is based on Youngman. But now that I'm here I find that this can't be true--Youngman is a _good_ comedian.
Lovely man
Very funny man.
Great !
"So what - let's call me a ham, I don't give a damn....."
How can you not love that and just simply declare him greater than Albert Schweitzer and Mahatma Gandhi combined?
Does anyone know what year this is?
Edit: Ah he's talking about Dukakis and Bush so probably around '88.
I love the Italian people, during ww2 an Italian girl saved my life- she hid me in her cellar. It was in Toronto lmao 🤣
Good fellas
What an unusual act...NO gay, sex or race jokes.....shows what can be done with Talent!
The wheel chair joke was funny.
I thought Henny was just a character in GOOD FELLAS
I don't know why but when I look at Bernie Sanders I see Henny Youngman. I wish Bernie would say "take my wife", might get him more votes
Remember when he was in goodfellas?
Goodfellas brought me here
I love Henny Youngman's accent. And that's all I have to say about that! (Forrest Gump!) God Bless Him. Shalom.
Ok but what was the violin for? lmao
I always thought Dick Clark would sat the most "unique" things to his guests
Mrs Welser I brought your husband home!
I was hoping he'd play his fiddle too
Funny guy !
I just watched The Irishman. That Jimmy Hoffa joke was disgusting, ,...but makes sense now
God bless Jimmy Hoffa & Henny Youngman. #Legend
That was hilarious. Someone so uncool as Henny Youngman with such a cool dude as Dick Clark. Now I can see where Rodney Dangerfield got his shtick delivery from... Wonder what the date was...
Must have been 1988. He was talking about Bush and Dukasis.
Who is this man’s wife
All nice and dandy but how old is his mother in law when he is himself 120 years old?
They don't make 'em like that anymore 😪
Dude was born in 1906!
Charisma bypass! Somebody, stop him! (oh, wait)
Goodfellas
I love this guy he is funny but I thought Rodney Dangerfield was was king of the one liners lol
Lmao
Take my wife,please!!
Oy Vey, take his wife already. 😢
Rodney? Is that you?
"Where's his wheelchair?"
What's with the violin?
Ashley Jones - He started out performing with a jazz band and later began telling jokes between sets. He never lost the violin.
" Prop "
It's a flex
Ford Fairlane was right.
Not sure whether he steals material or had it stolen.
Those dumb guy jokes, were Polish Jokes.
I said try the kitchen
not a young man on this one
Hes smiling, yes, but on the inside....Na.
the 40 miles away is also told by Dangerfield....someone is stealing jokes
Not stealing. Honoring. Dangerfield was inspired in part by this man here, and after Youngman died Dangerfield kept doing some of his one liners to keep his memory alive.
Didn’t Henny do those dumb, jokes as Polish Jokes?
